# e) s  a3 W; g Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.

 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers( T/ o. n8 R: f9 E, X" I
 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.1 }4 V1 d) q* M$ v* s) C, C0 X
 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.4 q8 c: Z9 C" p
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.- F; ?7 _: c6 C5 {
 Ensure that newcomers know and understand their entitlements.

 Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.

1 ^8 C  s; B9 p: C" X5 `( U Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.
$ D1 G* s: t# Y' ] Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.
/ f# G" y0 v! o2 x Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.

 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan
3 k  }! a! H  g9 k# Y. |  f* ?4 Z Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment

 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants

 Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion
