 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.

 Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.
& I& t. @3 T) ?, G Support newcomers participation in the settlement program.
4 N. V, T6 K7 u0 l  y7 ~ Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.8 u( `. Y' U$ j1 G- ]5 D/ u  r# x( V
 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers  c! F; i3 S9 ]# ]* x4 ]$ i# ~# Z
 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.
5 }, [$ l5 q  K* U5 G5 \# q/ L Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.6 H+ L3 ^& k! `
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.' H3 I' f0 v' h- a2 S

 Keep up-to-date all other administrative tasks as directed by the Program Co-ordinator.

 Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.
% D0 G$ X# x& D' O1 j Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.
6 i; t# u4 z: T. \4 N) H6 z+ _ Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.
2 j% ^9 A8 c3 F+ ~ Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.7 c+ \, M& s9 Q6 h1 A3 P! l
 Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.
# |' D% R+ j. i2 m, _/ Y0 M Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.5 F  m/ ?# O* u' {7 v
 Create and update clients files on Mobius computer system

 Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period% `* w# g$ r! \0 s% W- s
 Ensure participants’ progress is tracked and recorded+ q+ b, B: {% D
 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan! V: i: b! \& }  ~8 K
 Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment& ^; B  i# K7 I# x0 V( D
 Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada
, ]' _  G4 d5 Q6 U: e Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants0 o; X4 I+ v$ p9 c
 Complete participant reviews with the participants
9 \7 Z, n6 c* I& X Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion+ d: o8 A6 Z2 m9 y' s0 s
 Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator7 Y5 ?1 x0 _8 N' C5 q
