 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.
$ W: ^2 [. M. Y# B Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.

0 O8 N$ ~2 {3 z8 x8 U) U1 X) Z Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.

 Be required to work flexible hours, with some evening and occasional weekend work

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.

 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers
, i( R7 u4 p. [  [' ^' q Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.
& m8 I) I( x& U# k, Y* D$ {$ [8 b Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.

 Ensure that newcomers know and understand their entitlements.# D3 _( P, \; K0 W+ i

 Attend multi-agency and multidisciplinary meetings, as required

 Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.

 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.$ R6 P2 H7 y3 [# G( A9 F1 ~
 Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.

Service Manager
1 r- S' w- Y, c2 I; E, D Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period

1 K" X' G5 f5 p4 t Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan- g  c6 A; ^: c- I9 {6 K$ h
 Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment9 k9 q# s" @( J& U9 e- I
 Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada
3 D7 z1 e8 U- e8 g3 F Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants
$ K6 l8 H  G" Q+ V* ^ Complete participant reviews with the participants
; o  ]  c# s( L3 N Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion, |3 u! B0 r8 F! L
 Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator. |8 e4 |* m1 K2 S. @# r
