小孩夏天的快乐

It looked like the earth was vaporizing and everything had multiple vibrating images seen through the air.  A scorching smoky dust would stubbornly follow anyone when walking on the road that felt like stepping through inches-thick baked wheat flour. People just wanted to jump headlong into the river to get rid of the sticky mixture of sweat and earth that wrapped them in as plastic bags would do. But it was the most blissful time of the year for the boys. They could stay in the water for every minute like hippos until called time and time again to go home.    They splashed like pigs to explode water over others; dived deep to grab cold blackish mud and threw it right into others’ faces; chased each other like sleeky fishes; and all of sudden disappeared forwardly or backwardly like waterfowls and appeared hundreds of yards away. They stayed floating with only the movement of their feet and so freed their hands to smack water to block others’ view. Totally naked and dark and glossy, they ran out of the water, chased and laughed…
