回国时候生病住院开刀了，回来怎么办理报销啊？

请有经验的大虾们指点一下！
老婆回国住院开刀了，一开始的时候保险还没有生效，到住院了一半的时候保险才开始生效。
所以，前面一段时间只是有移民的alberta health care的保险
后面才有保险公司的保险。
我想先去alberta health care报，
有什么不能报的再去找保险公司！
请大家指点一下如何去找alberta health care报！

You have to have travel insurance from your group plan or individual plan. Alberta Health Care doesn't include travel benefit.

即使是EMERGENCY的情况. alberta health care给了我一个案例, 某年某日某女去香港时, 发生车祸,断了手臂.alberta health care没报销. 以后均以此案例为标准. 我必须驳倒那个标准案例, 或者证明我的案例和她的不同, alberta health care才考虑.

You should go to the official website and see the details.

Without a medical certificate and any supporting document from my famliy doctor , my medical expenses incurred in China were reimbursed in 2007 and 2011.

The AHC will cover maximum $100CAD/day for inpatient(staying in hospital) and $50 CAD/day for outpatient, with a limit of one visit per day.

The remaining balance was paid by my group insurance company.

2. Please attach clear copies of itemized statements of practitioner and hospital charges on an official statement or letterhead.
We recommend you keep the originals for your own records.
3. All bills and receipts in a foreign language must be translated into English. A copy of both the foreign language and the English
version must accompany your claim.
4. Claims must be received by Alberta Health and Wellness within 365 days from the date of service.
5. Please allow up to 12 weeks for processing.

是可以报销的。重点是必须证明自己还是Alberta 的 Resident, 到海外旅游。
报销的准则以同等价值在亚省医疗费开销。

收据必须翻译成英文，回来后在一定时间内填表格寄到Alberta Health Care。

当然，如果有Edmonton的医生证明会安全很多。
但回国嘛，难免有急性的病。我没有提供Edmonton的医生证明。

比如，我2007年回国时，住了4天医院+1天门诊，我附带了国内医院的出院小结，病因是“急性肺炎”。实际费用95%左右全报了。按标准 100加币*4天+50加币*1天。

2010年回国，有一些医院门诊的费用，包括孩子急性结膜炎，自己过敏性皮炎（被虫咬了）...也基本报了。最后AHC只有9元多加币没报，我在公司的保险中报了。
我提供了
1.医院的收据和自己对收据的英文翻译。
2.还有病历页中的医生诊断(中文)。-这个不是必须，不过尽量做到材料清楚。
3.在收据的英文翻译件下，简单地用一两句话用英语写个note, 这个是莫迭儿于几月几日回中国期间，由于xxx病就诊发生的费用。

我补了医生的CERTIFICATE 说明当时的情况只能在中国医治,
Alberta Health Care又说医生的CERTIFICATE 是事后补的,不算. 给了我那个香港断胳膊的案例.我如果不同意,可以要求HEARING.
我当时觉得不对, 我就要求HEARING. Alberta Health Care再也没理我.
当时病还没好全.没精力和 Alberta Health Care追究.
看来我是倒霉了.

可能看病因。
如果知道要动手术，可能保险起见，需要这儿的pre-approved？我不确信。因为没报过手术费。

同意。
2008我小孩回国时要住院做手术，当时也不是紧急到要马上做，只不过想在国内做手术起码语言沟通起来没问题，临时性的决定。回来后向AHC申请住院手术费用等报销，基本上都报了。不过最后到帐的等待时间比较长，足足三个月。
