We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

! b2 _0 V7 t) ]" c0 T6 B0 \Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

5 Z  [: m! M9 c' o4 U% D9 F- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;
/ n" A) x. [7 p& U  D( i% G! _& ^
- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;
) O. W! b- ]# b
- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

  [" J' @3 j0 A3 D' S) s- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;
) y3 `/ f  ^% Y' a
- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;
) U$ ?! m" u* R2 W1 C1 x- A
- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;
! R6 J' k( }5 {# l
$ H, U1 E( h; C$ L8 B; q- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

3 d- L# V6 e0 D/ d# [; p0 w- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and
