 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
3 n3 F* y0 v* K- P! a. f Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
3 c6 a# B4 U8 g4 m Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

% J5 }- a  S& a  [2 jQualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
: T$ W# z2 H2 K$ I4 `+ m6 l0 A, r Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
, k8 N: W+ H* D, V. P Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
$ v% \# t- c4 Q9 R0 j" ^ Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
9 T. d1 A/ l' t Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
8 f5 O9 T8 {0 E$ w% r Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
