 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
$ g4 ~# D. W. `) l  J1 F8 g; U Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
" S' B6 B5 d& s. f8 l4 K Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

. U% T; ?$ y  S Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
5 W( m" |9 V, j Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
; I1 O7 `( E; a, Q; Z& h( Z! E Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
