Duties
5 }8 X: q: i3 z% i9 s4 K" Y/ U6 }Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
8 C! p9 l; N- s" ~" x& x+ ~' ^7 yObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments7 C+ v5 F& I1 z6 H! a* [& ]
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound7 } T+ O, e( X
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead9 \$ V1 Q% F; _! S
Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.: o7 }' ], j( k; N

$ F$ k' y- d* t% SCurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
