Duties
% K$ G6 f7 @6 i$ Q4 X: f; G/ TDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
& b1 S4 d( s, }7 b9 f( wObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
8 h: S7 b2 Z! C! iEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
( [% Z# }5 o* KPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
& O; e; z Y+ I& V- wOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions5 _4 G" x2 w7 {( y- o' t
Performs related duties as required" p! G" K2 l" E A1 _& E
Qualifications3 l# Y" Q3 B( e6 h% ~& u% [' N
Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.

Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification6 h# {4 M9 o* \, O9 x8 c! X3 |5 h
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials' E5 {. ^- r; D6 Q7 p1 h' t& }
