3 L h" Y, Z7 |Reporting to the Administrator of Information Technology Services (ITS), and working collaboratively with the other members of the unit, the Web Application Developer provides application development support to ensure viable and effective solutions to the business needs of units within the Human Resources portfolio.; D9 N- L$ ?" Develops web-based applications in support of the business needs of units within the portfolio3 _/ [$ c; G: ?4 e7 S( b5 \
Designs, maintains, and optimizes relational databases used by web-based applications" j9 N) y6 O; z
Provides ongoing support, training and documentation for applications developed in-house

Qualifications

- \* D/ x) E* M) }Two year technical diploma in computer science with a focus on web-based design and database development
9 q/ ?$ E- A5 CMinimum 3 years experience developing dynamic web-based applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, XML
! x+ Z% l# p& l4 rDemonstrated experience with database development and optimization using MS Access and SQL Server 2000+ ]& U" k# g. v6 \
Experience administering IIS and working knowledge of Windows Server environment; experience developing with SharePoint Services and SQL Reporting Services an asset
1 n% e1 e$ I% z" ^( JProficiency developing web graphics with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; proficiency using Macromedia Flash an asset
