移民签证时护照的有效期限

申请技术移民，今年7月初在edmonton体检，一直在等待。
# C& U  h; U  C0 p+ N) s# W前几天突然想起明年3月现在的护照就过期了
请问如果近期收到passport request，寄去做移民签证的话，是否护照有效期必须是6个月以上呢？

应该不用的吧，没有哪个地方说护照有效期要有6个月的。

Passport Requirements:

We require an original VALID passport for yourself and every accompanying family
% t% h& {9 a7 C) Gmember. Passports for you and all accompanying family members should be submitted
together.
( ^7 {+ N: x- W8 I8 w: W
There must be at least two blank visa pages in each passport.

+ y3 \7 c% a4 c# w+ }& j4 I, wIf there are children included in your passport there must be visa pages for them as well.

Please note: Immigrant visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military
passports.
