3 g& H) O+ P$ c Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
% j) s! E% B7 H! U8 ]) ^  J Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
( y1 r& A# A1 f0 D* E  K% Z+ b Completing required paperwork.
+ v6 h8 k* F- H4 L! C Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
) M& Y  j) b0 w+ c- F6 W$ q Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
9 H- @% v+ r/ d* L% P Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
1 k. t8 _9 T! j+ Y Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:
3 }- h, t( G3 n" m
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
, \# W( Q0 T( n# ^$ E9 t' q Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
7 X4 J+ @' ]3 I/ I! @8 r+ L+ d Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
7 i/ c1 W3 \9 w  d3 j" |& V Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

$ ^& Q8 |" y5 Q# U" SPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
' y% _5 ^% d* ^# H/ K: GThere is a 3-month probationary period.
