Key Responsibilities & Duties:

B2 \0 Q% C1 h" [$ r Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.9 |/ ~5 w1 v. z( Y1 @
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
& o- H( v. E) U( r Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.& |3 X( V$ E( \4 ~
 Completing required paperwork.2 t2 ?- V2 O' j
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.: J! \& h. y( X" t# S8 A* S; H" {
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
1 J" V4 |% v- ?: |! { Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
* H" U" _/ C& P& k. Z Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.; M0 ^; ?% K) F! D! o2 m2 [
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

6 ^. J6 q# B. u% p0 h0 ?. B# J Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
7 R. H! _7 o/ G: G! n Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
0 r& ]3 t7 L# I8 f! h* { Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
/ U3 H5 T, a3 {+ X0 ` Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.& q. B2 g: `# o+ L8 g1 j
 Knowledge of community resources.8 \7 f! ?0 L1 v% {. Y, O6 d
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
6 @' C8 r, b; j3 ^* d9 G/ i8 O Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ! b$ G( a$ K0 N! g

Position:
6 f7 E2 @3 U p5 m, b2 J# qThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
) N9 T: h+ N1 g! G5 bThere is a 3-month probationary period.
