Key Responsibilities & Duties:

% o* b- I4 r9 k: h, K+ L Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
- W, v0 y" B, M4 j, | Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
" r6 X/ g( l9 U, Y Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
5 D/ I' R* W- y  {, o3 r Completing required paperwork.
$ @9 j) \9 l3 F1 J4 u Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
* t$ k, u9 o% ]5 V1 J Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
# m) u) s+ s0 T; l4 o) g1 o; y Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
: I2 T5 H% m! P" j, ? Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
7 @& a8 ^0 B: I( S: z7 D Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
+ X/ }. S7 \, c! L Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! G& Y  S+ Y+ c8 R, C/ A0 o Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

+ f% w) f. a- i" z8 P( F7 BThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
! }: a' t. z4 l* \There is a 3-month probationary period.
