 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
* }2 B J. [ ?& f- X Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
+ b1 f5 r: M: Y' F9 ~6 q Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
- Y' n; o/ ?% `0 F0 R& N$ l+ j Completing required paperwork.
$ _: }2 x8 i; Q6 |5 q Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.0 R% X( ?$ q+ E" R
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.9 ~# S+ k% W0 R8 N3 Y3 P5 H( Z
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. # o6 L( t( g1 p- R3 g3 `% x& e4 ]
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.1 H {! _9 i" u. n7 ?
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
) _2 `( ]/ ^$ y4 h Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

+ V z* `1 F; Y& F$ `8 Q' H Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience./ Q/ F8 R/ }$ L( T
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.: D" [( `/ T* ?
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
6 D7 h% b7 G( C0 W6 x, n! T( d0 U Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc./ D" H! _; @0 g: q+ C/ T
 Knowledge of community resources.
$ o B, `' x8 Z) N) _& C. S$ [8 l Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
# V. p/ M, [0 T; u$ g Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 4 f6 A" n" f/ w% N/ t: l

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
