) N  A& Y# \4 a- Y) k& P5 b; Z4 f9 {4 L Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
1 w1 R: U. ?5 ]& H Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
+ W: k( F. r1 p# d: j. |4 {! F Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
/ |3 m/ ]! w1 C6 a% v3 i0 z3 x; @ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
0 Z4 H: |' l8 r; v6 T Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
& D+ S) b+ q3 f7 M/ ^2 R Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
, ?5 f6 c1 ~( o1 P7 E" K) ~ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

) x0 A% V: a+ ~! d. w0 C$ z# h6 E Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
0 _, f2 C! `; R Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
! h4 g: h9 \4 A! F$ x6 g* I) R2 r  T( Z Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
