' e8 @7 W! |3 A; k2 ]2 | Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
% g* X" R7 G4 x# \" f Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
4 E% ]- `8 O) G+ O1 O4 Q Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
4 G: L8 B, @; Z Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
8 S$ {+ h$ b' o6 U4 x% r Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
' E7 p1 n% L7 l& i Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
2 Z. P: c& ^! S4 V Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

: c' o+ ?  Y+ }9 |/ i# P% {6 c Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
% a: T  q" k5 L% m0 N Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
% W" Y% s! I6 q Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
/ p7 v' y! m' }7 c8 p# T Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
0 r8 w: d. w( v3 d% ? Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

- ]2 e, }# K8 m3 s/ q1 zThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
