Key Responsibilities & Duties:

0 O( y2 d0 S' s2 \; @ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
$ P7 x. E4 r; z9 A( l, ~9 n4 K Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.: a' {3 Z9 ~- k7 z
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.

 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. - b; u6 T0 A8 L2 c1 ~8 r* A; T
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
) }/ s! v* O3 ] Q( R' ^$ e Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.3 Z% b' e7 l8 s4 a9 J; \
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth. \: e5 ~9 o! K$ ^2 }; F* v7 n
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc., c- K9 Z+ B/ w& V
 Knowledge of community resources.
! h' G8 L. f6 v% v/ m+ U Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.0 S- E5 T) e5 i! h# y) O
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 1 ~; z& [& e' o) a9 k" d8 X+ A6 ^

Position:' Q) O3 Q# u& _' G2 Y, p
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
