) T7 Q( H2 W6 o% X0 A! c
( m5 X  o8 f  v2 X( ` Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
& `; X7 P1 m7 a* r( f Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
& q+ |2 `/ Z0 V. j Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
; @' P  e) ^; E0 X7 F8 H0 ? Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
- Z0 ]: q: L7 S0 P1 O# i! K7 w, w Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
- H6 G+ y; m8 q Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
+ V4 c" I; {, {6 N: S Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
( e! N. `, N6 \9 e. i. ^
( t% ~$ o; G3 ^; { Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
$ \8 U' S$ m* A, G' Z Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
6 l9 S2 |/ K, P8 m# @* n Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

1 ~9 |" j! _. `- j0 p5 p1 jPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
