( m5 X o8 f v2 X( ` Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.9 x, q( |3 y7 l" y+ v% ?6 X
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
& `; X7 P1 m7 a* r( f Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
& q+ |2 `/ Z0 V. j Completing required paperwork.5 T: J; ]7 l- n9 ^7 w
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
; @' P e) ^; E0 X7 F8 H0 ? Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.9 G/ M1 [4 f& o0 w s* x- b
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. ! a' r0 ~ o& m+ p
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
- Z0 ]: q: L7 S0 P1 O# i! K7 w, w Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
- H6 G+ y; m8 q Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

( t% ~$ o; G3 ^; { Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.! ]; q) ` ?+ H! B9 H
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.! a7 E& ]7 w! V4 R" n
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
$ \8 U' S$ m* A, G' Z Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.( J# m9 q0 e5 | m
 Knowledge of community resources.

 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ) B& L$ A$ t, |; S# I

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 0 D! s1 e; t2 H: v0 t
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
