Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

" \' T2 ?$ @( DWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects 7 o/ y! O8 C! T! t6 ]' V7 T
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures $ u) [: O) _9 l+ S. C# ]6 Y6 A
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs % ]3 y" V0 ~% x0 Q# k9 R5 W
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients
* _6 x' C8 D: {8 d1 n S9 e% `2 ?9 A# S/ t
Qualifications- N8 C, a" w; K2 A& j9 q
7 j' h h7 F& {Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
8 P) D) m! S1 iMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings 7 o1 T1 j% G# y S, h2 _. w
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman . ]8 p* o/ R3 P
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset ) d$ n: N+ v; `0 p! h+ ]
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process : } l- K5 g, F! Z
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects ( K2 t9 D; d$ {0 |0 l" x
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office + J; d9 S! S" [0 f3 o4 @6 a/ h
Ability to communicate with all levels of management ; y3 r7 p U% Y
Ability to work independently as well as in a team l6 B- B1 N H
