Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.# b3 j; x8 ]$ H Z* V" g2 @4 e) O

% y2 k3 `& j5 W+ KWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
9 O9 ?6 R/ u$ m8 N$ c DReview, develop and improve processes and procedures ) G+ G/ h/ J! \3 F% r
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
1 p; f1 z* t3 b+ M9 c9 }Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients ( Y4 Y, S W# g0 I: {% }
7 a. K- \# n5 N5 GQualifications
8 ?6 d: v, O: g2 c5 |
. ]8 {8 P, h$ ?Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
' P) M+ y g% @1 A0 y4 v0 D5 OMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings $ b i$ Y; v+ a1 I
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
& K* S5 \- e& U3 ~Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
$ Q/ a- T$ T& h3 k4 ]3 iUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
8 u v w, E# I' A' S- GUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects $ |' G. d% x- U, P- n5 V
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office " `) I1 Y1 l# [3 o' N7 o2 u2 c
Ability to communicate with all levels of management # E8 i# N* ]( `- {
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
