An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
( k# _0 h7 Y* i* D5 I•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
  a# c# z; b2 b6 b/ D1 Z2 O( `' g•        Others.

Qualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
, N9 A. W( T) c2 {" l•        Familiar with CAD software;
+ c: U% M, K( p8 H. \1 c% \7 z•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
% m4 w1 k2 y6 U* P9 Z# r0 B•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
2 h  u* ?2 S& y+ ?# R# E! \Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
