An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

" s' y3 ]3 X' Z6 z, {" R0 l- _•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
) |3 y* W3 o3 P& U•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
0 r' Y$ c" p3 z•        Familiar with CAD software;
5 J( x! I7 ~% O" h9 R8 v•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
# h4 F6 T% r6 M•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
