8 I  W) {7 V5 x  MKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
( Q: r) M1 k4 p. ~# @. u Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
3 }- r% H6 C0 E& S+ U: e Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
( T0 T- ?9 D- O9 |% W' m6 } Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
$ ?  [0 G1 N$ ?' ? Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
3 o) p% z6 T) b- E$ o; q. W Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:
, W- f* J2 A  N. P9 o. x
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
& a( z' G2 e4 x Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
/ `8 t, s/ h6 b1 h Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
( k; \1 A# O* ?8 ]" {$ T Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
  j" [/ N3 x- }8 y Knowledge of community resources.
7 [6 e6 e3 m4 B% Z7 g Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
) \* M1 x  S0 W  Y0 m7 z5 ?This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
8 O" D( w5 v/ }- Gstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
