Key Responsibilities & Duties:
+ B$ l- D( H$ D  A; r* @
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
2 K( y: F" N4 Y Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
# y8 M. f* }/ |$ E) B3 ` Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
, l" U/ K" h# g( i- z# P, P: Z2 ]& @ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
5 n3 ]) s4 V6 d1 u Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
( J1 H0 L2 d/ [0 W; Q Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
1 \+ z0 e: B# W' y3 y Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
4 B/ J2 h$ P/ ]$ q. w$ F Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
0 v+ b- E# i. i2 G9 Y$ ^: mstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
