General Terms of Use

1. Availability of the reservation service: The Parks Canada Campground Reservation Service 2 g5 g2 \3 P; n( A) H
is available to all campers by telephone at 1-877-RESERVE (1-877-737-3783) between, Y9 m6 A9 \6 `. i8 h
7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. local park time or online 24-hours a day at www.pccamping.ca.
/ p/ g. M) N1 g& }% c$ m) O You can make a camping reservation from the system launch dates up until 12:00 midnight
/ [# T4 Z7 \: U& x) d. N# k on the night prior to your arrival. Same day reservations are not accepted. 6 G N Z; o# i% b
2. Times: All times quoted in these Terms of Use are the local time at the park where your

time – for a reservation made in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve in British Columbia,+ `0 S0 c6 f V$ G
this is 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time but for a reservation made in Fundy National
) s, {; W7 M) N8 x Park in New Brunswick, this is 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Atlantic Time).

3. Fees are payable when the reservation is made: Both reservation fees and camping fees are
/ n5 b1 H, J( x! S3 A% F9 ^& V, `( ] due when you make your reservation.2 I; m$ G+ K( v
4. Daily entry fees: The fees paid when you make your reservation do not include your% Y' `+ L/ n* |" ]3 n: X" u
national park daily entry fees. You will be required to pay these daily entry fees upon" A8 d& G9 X- Q' v. C, V% L
arrival at the park.
6 z/ T$ g$ n' X/ J5. Reservation fees: The reservation fee is non-refundable and covers the operating cost of
6 R; q2 v* l& [' \3 W the Parks Canada Reservation Service. This fee is charged per stay. A stay is defined as& Q1 k- f" F0 c% ~
a series of consecutive nights (not exceeding the maximum length of stay) in the same6 `- A6 f4 W, ^ e
campground. The fee to make a reservation is $10.80.
3 o4 `4 k' e+ Q7 u/ s2 S& b/ D6. Camping fees: Camping fees are the fees paid for use of the campsite. They are charged on
+ L) x& u; D W/ A a per night basis and the price is dependent on: the park; the campground; the type of

7. Changes and cancellations: Fees are also charged if you change or cancel a previously' a, e# b; W# o; {: Z
confirmed reservation. The fee for each change or cancellation is $8.80 and is non-refundable.

money orders are only accepted over the telephone; reservations using these forms of& k7 ]4 [ w8 ?5 L5 h, L& G1 ~
payment cannot be made on-line. When this method of payment is used, campsite reservations# P4 w: p' D; ^4 Y2 l
will not be confirmed until the payment is received and processed.
0 Z/ o1 c* n3 j2 D3 v All reservations using certified cheques or international money orders must be made at
7 r0 e. h: \3 C8 t+ P+ z) R7 P, B least 35 days prior to your date of arrival at the campground. Payment must be received
+ ?# u4 c% h2 ]3 t for processing no later than 21 days from the date that the reservation was made.4 z& _/ [2 P, {" h

We will inform you of your confirmation number by email or by telephone once your
3 I2 b/ K8 c+ w7 U# ~# B/ S certified cheque or international money order payment has been received and processed.

Confirmation

9 O3 g: @$ \/ `3 x) S' H' F10. Confirmation number: A confirmation number will be provided at the end of every completed
) f1 w' y% N0 F reservation. If you do not receive a confirmation number, your reservation is not complete. ( j- r* b( @2 G$ g0 }9 @

It is important that you take note of this confirmation number and bring it with you to ~* C$ E/ c% X ^0 u" k
the campground. It is must be given to Parks Canada staff so that they can register you4 V" l5 J% M* I9 ]/ v: T% R
into the campground.7 U3 V" H$ V9 X
7 U, T# ]( |8 X' `% Q For reservations made by telephone, you have the option of providing an email address
) {: ]; B% L: T to receive an electronic confirmation, and/or you may want to write down the confirmation
0 ]' Y, J. U* @6 C number when you receive it verbally from the Customer Service Associate.: } \8 w7 q, w: V' `; j7 L# l! \
+ q) Y, ]. Z: T For reservations made on-line, you should enter your email address to receive an) e* r4 o L# i7 W6 S. _$ F
electronic copy of your confirmation. You can also print out the confirmation screen,

Remember that if you pay for your reservation by certified cheque or international( @( l$ v/ I, x. W/ K; v( N
money order, you will not receive a confirmation number until your payment has been

11. Changes before check-in: You can change your reservation until 2:00 p.m. (local park time)
' B* S& `+ ^7 u$ ~: r on your scheduled day of arrival. Changes may include changes in date, campground (within, N- r0 {& O& M" f- R4 j
the same national park), campsite type, service type, etc. Changes can be made online
! v: ~ c( V0 }5 e6 @# B or by telephone. You will be charged a fee of $8.80 to make a change.
" _1 [; v& I \6 G3 ~" F6 U: E- l12. Cancellations before check-in: Cancellations can be done online or by telephone. You
, h( h1 H. m {4 C will be charged a fee of $8.80 to cancel. A reservation can be cancelled before you- i# | L1 }' k3 \9 C
check-in to the campground, subject to the following:
3 v/ z4 R1 L! V - If you cancel your reservation prior to 2:00 p.m. on your scheduled day of arrival,
* m$ D( G' o( A1 ^ you will get a full refund for all of the camping fees you paid when you made your& z) u S6 j d+ P; {* T1 H& f
reservation. The original $10.80 reservation fee is non-refundable and, in addition, |* Y0 y7 _! _1 T. Q
you will be charged a cancellation fee of $8.80 for this transaction.3 G5 `- [9 f2 D4 ?5 {" y6 @, n0 h
- Cancellations made after 2:00 p.m. on your scheduled day of arrival and before4 t5 ?2 n% l4 o' I* |; W
11:00 a.m. on the following day will result in you losing the fees paid for one night
0 Y4 H% }- }" h& I of camping. You will be refunded the fees paid for the rest of your stay. The original% J6 ~* {- Z2 i& _( B
$10.80 reservation fee is non-refundable and, in addition, you will be charged a

Changes and cancellations after check-in % z0 `: F4 Q1 t% I' G7 r

13. Changes after check-in: We will do our best to accommodate any changes you request to6 S0 g/ E5 D2 }1 [: C1 W
your campsite once you are registered. It is important to note that changes cannot be* ]& M0 [1 n" k2 n% `4 ]8 v
guaranteed and can only be accommodated if a suitable campsite is available. If a change
% r+ o( S) @% G3 `6 Q/ W is requested, there may be a difference in the new camping fee charged based on the5 N9 a, h" o F( M% p. p7 w) F
services provided at the new campsite. The camping fee will be adjusted but the $8.809 | x0 M; H7 d; A
change fee will not apply. Availability may be limited.# U- d6 E; S( Z7 g
14. Shortening your stay: We recognize that plans change. There is no penalty for leaving
* f- Y( D/ {1 f earlier than your original day of departure, provided that you notify the campground4 L1 P$ h; t$ n$ b$ u0 d0 G& y2 o6 ~
prior to the check-out time on the day you want to leave. The $8.80 cancellation fee1 F7 r) F2 K2 {' ]
will not apply and the unused portion of your camping fees will be reimbursed. Please
$ |( v. d% S4 O$ I- p notify park staff at your earliest possible convenience if you plan on leaving early.

15. Late Arrivals – Notification on the day of arrival until 11:00 a.m. the day after the& I. l& U9 z) L: `0 i; E7 M
expected day of arrival: If you are not going to be able to arrive at the campground
5 T# O2 N) U, O on the day of arrival, but you still wish to retain your reservation, you must contact8 i* A, [/ n; W9 Y1 V
the park office. If you do not know the telephone number for the park,
. x! ]4 c% R2 n' ?" s' m: r call 1-877-RESERVE (1-877-737-3783).
4 u" g, W# C0 H: m) _$ g& n! l16. Late Arrivals – Notification after 11:00 a.m. the day after the expected day of arrival:
/ X) ]( K L+ Y% J+ d. \ If you are not able to make it to the campground before 11:00 a.m. the day after your
' ?1 M! L2 c# m" |. t expected day of arrival, and you have not notified us, the fees paid for your first two4 L/ D/ ]$ @, M
nights of camping will not be refunded. You will also be considered a "No-show" (see
7 L W9 J- ] V7 X6 h% F0 O policy #17) and your reservation will be cancelled. Please let us know about any late
[$ P9 t7 u# i2 k$ Q arrivals in advance.

No-Shows 9 l1 M, m l# K7 S7 n+ _6 T6 R

17. No-shows: If you do not arrive at the campground by 11:00 a.m. on the day after your / h# H/ G) m( j3 }
scheduled day of arrival, and if you have not contacted the park to inform them of
; Z* W5 `8 p' E) \ your late arrival, you will be deemed a "No-show."* b* o. x) P S5 [( |* S9 J0 b5 Q% V$ N4 F
! _0 {/ w2 r. J! V1 r2 k3 \" T5 Z When you are deemed a "No-show," your reservation will be cancelled and your campsite
R O- M+ \+ m7 G will be made available to other campers.

I8 O, L `5 M1 t* X0 j" j0 q If you are deemed a "No-show," you can claim your refund of the total camping fees
4 K; H' {! f+ w) I5 F- v paid, minus a penalty of two-nights of camping and the original, non-refundable,/ X2 j8 T6 W& P T5 c6 n
reservation fee of $10.80. This is provided that you contact the park within 30 days2 r' }, Z5 g s, f

Thirty days after your originally scheduled departure date your camping fees become

Closures

18. Closures: If Parks Canada must close a campsite or a campground for operational reasons,

possible if we encounter this situation.
