Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
operation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
( k8 X, C% Y- a1 W$ V6 ]. Gthat the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
8 c+ @" L' Y+ icustomers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
! X, s2 J; x8 v# ythe Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
• Assist customers find what they are looking for
+ v% e6 W; f. i# J• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
stock
• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
3 @8 ^& }) D- C/ M0 A% Hlooks under 25 years of age
Store Responsibilities
• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
. S( Q( B! N. `: r* u( t7 x0 |8 m• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
/ A5 c1 @7 M5 R: V1 S• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times
• Close the store (key holders)

- U( g; {, m$ j( B7 H# J& u• High School graduate
• Criminal record check.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
5 X6 E/ A( O/ B+ x+ v• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies
Working Conditions

9 ^+ X. Z& S+ s6 o( t4 w• Demanding workload
Physical Requirements
• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Comfortable climbing ladders
