MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
; l9 ]/ r0 p/ m        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
! y* q# X" G: b9 T0 F& H4 }2 U        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
8 J) \) S' r7 F$ l        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
9 h5 g9 z/ b/ ~1 }: B7 Y6 C( C•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
4 Y+ C, y+ W, i; v- m- v•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
: b- {. T1 p% \6 w4 {( o# N) {•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
4 p0 @. Z: M' `  t•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
: l& x/ l( Y% Y& O0 T* X: _•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
