九月份警方扫荡卖淫业

（Edmonton Journal消息）在九月份警方的扫荡中共抓获36名妓女和30位johns，包括一名未成年少女。

妓女们可以得到免费服务以帮助她们远离街头。至于john们，则可以选择参加“John学校”以免罪。

看来Edmonton的妓女还不少呢。不过我感兴趣的倒是"john"这个词。我孤陋寡闻，知道的先别说啊。让我查查字典。

这是Dictionary.com的解释：
John, Saint Known as “the Evangelist” or “the Divine.” fl. first century A.D.

One of the 12 Apostles and the brother of James the Great. He is traditionally considered the author of the fourth Gospel, three epistles, and the Book of Revelation.

耶稣的十二圣徒之一的约翰。不是这个意思。再看：

呵呵，以后起英文名字的时候还是不要叫John了吧。

johns只要用小写并加上复数，就不会跟常用名John混同了。要不然英美等国的男人就别活了。
