Location:         Edmonton
' v- z4 H, w' }' QSalary:         $40,462 - $56,410 per year, depending on education and experience.

-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
3 w7 q! }. B7 E9 E-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities( s( |" c) |1 ?3 G: d

Organize Leadership Training Sessions
! t; U/ _, v) R6 [' I-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings, a9 U& ~1 D; {/ X8 |5 E2 _, c
-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings; \" y/ ?2 Q  ]- t" ?' M
-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas
4 n; w$ Z6 k  v+ U6 j' B. E
- c/ o! W: v- s: x4 t# |$ TPlan and Facilitate identified public events: C2 ]9 M# {4 O5 M
-        with youth participants

+ V) G( ~% E) q& RMedia coverage  j6 q1 z; K1 m1 n- T1 K) `( x; i
-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project9 y+ o  @3 M/ c9 g2 y, S

Networking
9 t& F9 K+ z& g& {-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate. e! M/ D% j0 ~; I+ t( |
-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

  M* X' F# G: E3 dProfessional Development
# R  C& `1 y. w6 ?8 E% o+ r8 \-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
6 C' I: o3 v' u1 X8 y3 u-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators/ s& Q( c7 t  e- V" S) F

-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder3 x. ?! k2 w, z! y# F0 I

Project Evaluation
. x: u/ \7 L7 \$ K+ q-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
6 j' N* W2 H* ~9 Q0 E+ K2 Q-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model; h) U) I! {+ I% l; I" l1 X5 M8 U

Qualifications for this Position; y. b) U$ C; u2 j0 A

-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
( p/ f( ^2 H% e( J7 [, ]! G, {: Q-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
) M6 }0 h8 O; z) W-        experience with project coordination
* w9 n3 P6 e* a0 ^5 |* X( V. V-        degree or diploma in human services field
! f- K0 h% s& }! Q/ O8 e+ l2 @7 t-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts& M+ E: c( E" k3 Q1 p) n) {: j7 v
