Around 2:25 p.m., Edmonton Fire Rescue received two 911 calls to 50th Street and 67th Avenue. One was reporting a fire, the other reporting that someone had been injured at the same location.

( O: e4 L4 a. d! zFire rescue's Tim Wilson tells iNews880 there was a flash fire in a lab where the chemical Toluene is housed.

: }' ]5 J4 W2 E3 G; S6 d. F- j"The fire took place in a room at this facility that did have some sort of flammable products stored in there," says Wilson, "and somehow, this ignited and caused a fire."

! C- D6 \7 Y" H1 ?- Q9 y; ?7 k$ h) dWilson says fire rescue responded with trucks from three houses because of the flammable chemicals housed in the building.

5 q  |& f& Z7 J"We had eight units on scene, with about 30 firefighters," he says. "The fire was out in just under 45 minutes, and was under control in 15."
