What Makes Christmas Magical

During the Christmas season, summer and its body-conscious state of mind

therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a
3 }1 T' q6 |$ J1 O. V+ [. E- Spleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then : N* l' B, l3 q+ p- U) A) {8 y
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can $ _- e" n5 D: d. A  L
smartly avoid it?* c" P. G! p$ @! v4 z( z
?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out & ^2 R8 D2 `0 ]0 D
at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem % @% U- A2 o* h1 L8 }, _
to be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of
2 t* ~' F& k- }0 _9 R( `moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a
( O8 F- P. t8 j/ _3 ?+ pBudget.'

be something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies / C0 d; P' i2 V" @3 y! p  B
are offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays
5 B3 S+ r8 Y; I: |' h: Jespecially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more * W. A9 c+ i6 K
relaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower.
  ^- b, c# v  ]! S1 B, _  \2 Y?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to % G4 b; n: I, U7 v
substitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with   y6 s' i+ c$ `
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, $ B- T0 o) h! O. X" z: _4 _* Z. V
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
8 \7 z2 V6 l5 \* @2 [+ Ftell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into 5 l/ \+ h5 z( R; B; W; |* {

?Another strategy is to bring - bake or buy - low calorie Christmas cookies

healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down
& Z( j1 r' a" iupon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate
1 Q* l$ ~" f% N6 t* I; [candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies.

on a Budget' plan means that serving portions and the choice of food selected

At a party where more desserts and sweets are likely to be available, a few of + y8 K- E+ h0 [3 C. p4 o0 t' s
the selections can be sampled. If the urge to try everything can't be resisted,

can always say truthfully that the stomach is full.
