What Makes Christmas Magical

During the Christmas season, summer and its body-conscious state of mind

therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a 3 D1 c% @- l9 Q) t4 U
pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then * }, w- Q, m+ e) k
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can ! ]0 y6 g5 c+ X" g& Q' b" ^
smartly avoid it?
% x  l0 M4 k. K' l?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out
1 D1 V+ s8 N! i) r" f3 u3 Lat a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem
6 s1 t# g+ S4 N9 {$ U. }* }4 G( Rto be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of . N+ {# P! D- x% _$ ]& e9 I' |
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a

be something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies

especially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more " Y+ h( B0 J" ~' w) p
relaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower. 5 G) Q. T. |9 {9 S5 p" q$ Y7 M' B! u  o
?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to
, \/ f3 m. U9 H( Dsubstitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with / T- l' Q5 p; B% W! Q' n9 P3 P
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, 0 w1 Y; N0 B  V- O, g2 [& X
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
9 r( C. g, N' b. ktell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into + U. O# d8 `+ K5 N
play. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will ; c$ ?5 ]5 ~. h2 r. N  ?8 ?
be watching how you really eat. You can always have a few candies, one cookie or $ v$ R9 A+ ?  A, F3 E0 Y# t
a cookie and a half by your desk and that way it will seem as if you are

healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down * E6 Q0 @+ I) T0 g, j1 ^
upon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate
& u' Y* C# C) z) ~candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies. # U$ |" Q* W( I' W  W2 f
It's interesting to note that in a poll sponsored by the National Confectioners 3 }$ s  K8 ?: K

on a Budget' plan means that serving portions and the choice of food selected % o% C0 y1 ]' d6 }9 `
should be carefully watched.

the selections can be sampled. If the urge to try everything can't be resisted,
# [" Q2 k5 S* [4 bthen do so, but then second helpings have to be severely limited. The same is 1 {* W6 @& Y0 y! o/ p+ l: B3 m
somewhat true for Christmas Dinners. One big difference is that the food served
  Y- s( F7 w; Oduring Christmas Dinner will be heavier, so by selecting portions wisely,air max tn, one ; G% B1 ^; u& \- U
can always say truthfully that the stomach is full.
