execution of the YWCA Strategy $ h' n7 u! a0 Q' `

, I2 D) n8 h! U• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
# H+ C- v3 |, m1 v. a9 ]0 Xthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
0 g* B* U+ s2 T2 S* B6 a0 r: ]8 ?the Board of Directors;
" K# t9 {9 r1 E$ N. m, R• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations ; B$ o+ f! @ F W6 n) o
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to " r! U* u. v. Y! S: }2 d% p
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; . d6 \+ u6 o6 B
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 0 F% o4 p; s0 o9 T) S* k8 ^
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by & f+ ^( y1 {6 x' j+ _- T0 |
the board; 1 ~+ N9 d2 s' I$ l8 P5 h
• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ' |! ^. _/ e) q6 N# W, W
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
& y9 x2 d. W: F' Qthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
4 z- ]5 e; _8 O+ u5 j k• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
9 A2 b/ a4 W: B( {+ Ichanging needs of the organization and community; ' m9 H0 L) c5 i, H( o5 o# I
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue ! _4 z/ X, [ x# o ^ v. o* f' W
commitments;
* b3 u! p$ `3 B' l• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 5 ]. L) W; f. @2 U# N# h% Z+ m
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
# R8 f( _4 e2 c" zselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 0 N) D \. q+ m6 E
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; ( F' b2 c! h' \: h q2 e! {
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 4 S2 s7 k% H4 M1 o, z4 F0 g
effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring n$ W2 P1 f6 ]& r. D
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
: l# }0 N8 [' O2 e# e6 W; w; e• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
9 E/ c9 [5 x) k, F# ~, Z' aperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED . U5 C: W# N* l- X
the forthcoming year;
/ s, X+ t: T- s1 ?- [9 b& P9 N7 W• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical # h, a$ f) \8 ^6 L- o
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ) L" z$ J! J% B3 I6 {/ Y! a9 o" {% L

Required Professional Designation / Certification
1 Q+ h. B% K- P+ }• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. ! z( |( X, {! w9 p9 |
) I! W3 a$ Z( h4 lRequired Experience
* X% `: p! O: l" o• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
4 |1 a* K: s* ?/ z$ G( n: J• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation - Z; R* A* I( r! Q8 m; {0 g L
abilities;
" p r" P- X* u) A, f) i' ?• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
. E1 k/ i: Z' {4 U4 _; g ZNetworking and Fundraising;

and financial statements; and
