this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and + D: a7 h$ a+ ^ S( o0 m
execution of the YWCA Strategy

Specific responsibilities include: / Y6 _+ o; ^9 G

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
2 `8 [9 C2 u/ v8 g4 X. @the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 2 U; _: I X. s, D; R
the Board of Directors; $ Q) G) _) _. u8 u* h" k
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations . U% ~+ m$ B# [# F3 K J$ p
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 2 i# v8 F. B& W' w7 M
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
1 z- C8 Q/ }) l• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
" @5 j" R2 z" n5 `- ^objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

) l! Y: B; z# }2 W• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; 6 g( F% L2 v B( W V4 j. w5 _
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
6 U& k4 g/ |. J6 `! R' z+ Gthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 2 O# S: {" C4 k
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 1 _7 P' g& u% T! {
changing needs of the organization and community; 4 h& A/ |2 ~* \
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue $ Y" }; x$ t2 y- f& r8 ~" t
commitments;
& X, N4 F" r) _( l$ b• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; * \0 t# X7 a5 b
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
1 A) V% R! ^, X% q- Z; _selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
) o2 s, U& r5 |5 _1 n' C q• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
) y; a* ?# N3 Q7 |/ u `• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to ( U6 R* ~: J3 M' M" U* L
effectively and positively represent the association; 8 v O/ J1 l0 n% F1 t

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
3 N2 r0 |/ { s1 @. ]/ sthe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
8 w/ W; `( [$ O4 U/ i" T4 L& I• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal - B( W, c3 t ^8 y
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED , n4 F, F$ _. {8 J8 @: ^* W
the forthcoming year;

practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of T: A/ Q+ W+ h1 ~

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. : Z* g; v1 |2 ~- E1 H& r

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; - G7 x" H: y& {* P" ~# Z' ?4 @, s
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
+ N" E' `. u3 w+ F6 f7 nabilities;

• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
