/ V# c7 X# n: {& A' s* aReporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and
}) C2 u% @4 S1 w) R* I' L6 ]: \( }execution of the YWCA Strategy / m8 W4 T& G& e- }8 { J6 l& U
4 T& M* v2 X& @7 P: s8 c# [Specific responsibilities include:

1 y6 r8 i5 n7 a) Y) D2 l• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 0 r6 d c% A/ P8 Q( j
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
2 i0 N' U4 T# [7 G% F/ W1 Athe Board of Directors; 8 {! Y6 I( p8 @; U$ a- g
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 1 E6 Q" I' E" [0 Z. Z
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
/ {7 _* c `1 g) N/ F/ |" g2 @4 lenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
* C- z3 K$ T0 \/ J5 \ U• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and & N8 ^7 R1 @( d! g1 S) k u
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

8 N1 w6 }- C6 s+ a0 P% z• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; & T/ Y! L Y* l/ j( r
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion . _, E! U5 k$ a: o7 E( d: P# O1 y; L3 }
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; + r# T6 Q9 m9 n3 @+ T& }
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
/ o+ e6 p* U# Fchanging needs of the organization and community; ; Z& F* M! S/ ]
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue % v5 f0 g3 h7 B: D9 i6 j4 d
commitments;
A# ]. d7 r1 {1 p9 B- n) t7 ]6 x• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 8 M! c) c# j+ V" z, k" y7 ]4 f
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective 8 ]# l9 H! T" U9 @$ C2 E) r5 C
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 2 O* @4 \, D" b& B6 ^
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
4 `4 ]' s, h& `• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
' W; t( d% y0 l+ Q) o8 Meffectively and positively represent the association; : t% a5 Q# M) S5 F, J7 Y8 m
& @0 H; y1 d& v# ~2 o0 i• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring + l* [4 K% L Z8 Q
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; 8 I; D) S7 F9 i9 P
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 0 }* _5 g& W7 i' W! h2 x' k: K; R
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
% b2 J5 I7 p' Q+ Y5 g! Jpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

' P0 b8 O- O1 w N+ g• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; # b; t9 A/ e! A) o) }' e' w
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 6 M* y$ ]# }4 j& e: v. k
abilities; & j M2 O. C% I2 t" h
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
, N1 l2 ~: V& Y5 _, ?2 c* e: QNetworking and Fundraising;
W* b4 B$ J1 T7 q+ p• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting ; q1 [5 u4 w: o% Q& h8 {' x" z6 v+ W
