Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

0 j! P/ U) k6 ^2 D4 c6 h• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 6 Z1 K" u0 T, m$ g! H
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
( \, z. ]- Q. o1 E1 s8 nthe Board of Directors;
; p" \3 E% ?/ q9 A4 v* A8 X• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
* Y8 V1 j ?% Pincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
: z/ Y* z5 i' J' K/ _5 Cenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
" c2 `! s( W3 L' Z( V4 L) k2 ^• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
# ~" S5 w, l# }; f& u+ |objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by ' @/ _/ E/ r% M* g

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
' {* K) V3 G q( _5 _9 v• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ' v2 G5 Z3 j) f! I& m0 V$ T# a7 b
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; ' b7 h/ Y* T! ] s2 O7 r
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 4 ~5 v. l2 }; s; [
changing needs of the organization and community;
6 a5 J) L" I+ `, ~• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue # @7 ^' l8 i3 t% e3 G8 u( T$ f2 \1 d3 n

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
/ V' A. o- I) Y• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
! S- Q c$ W" v" ^, Oselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
1 ]% X/ e) a) n' }# H* q) Z1 `# @, T, S• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 7 S* Q% i! S) Y
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;

K/ D1 V% F9 y) \2 M/ Mperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical ( T, ?) {/ o( \4 V
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ) Y+ y, S" y8 @% s

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task ; ?; X' F- p+ B

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
/ N+ P) l5 ?; b; G/ K. Q• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation " ?' [; |! U! I: X- P _2 v
abilities; ( ^0 s8 a$ E" v) m5 _$ E
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
5 y0 c2 G: @- h2 P& _Networking and Fundraising; 7 b/ r4 k2 F* g9 x+ Y$ A# A
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
