Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and . r8 p% b9 _( E& ?

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 3 R, D( ^( L' c
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 5 y1 Z0 e8 K5 e
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to . J7 u+ I, t+ G: y3 O
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 2 f2 M7 r( [7 L& P8 n2 R; g+ B" _9 f
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
/ [" T7 z l% X( q% Y4 I6 Tobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by / J' f1 W; V- [+ j
the board;

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion + L( F$ I r, n) ^
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; # ~7 d4 i# P) \9 A+ Q/ S
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

) C% W" V4 b# {; y* E• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective ( F( F: m: w7 S( b1 ?
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; . L9 X) z; c1 b6 a+ A
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 6 r4 E7 A" @! w$ r+ Y: ^( \9 A
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

C$ L" N3 ]: @' ?) {• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring i# c! a* S" @7 ~& [( O* F
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
$ V3 X6 Y1 O" U: l( S2 Z( {• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
8 J$ @9 F4 d& ]( B1 z5 O) Iperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
, Z' f0 T3 H* B4 D3 D4 ~) U5 kthe forthcoming year;
) M( \2 w& d1 M9 l2 X; h• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical - A; }; g5 |- c; W, }6 l
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of : T1 m9 v1 ~/ x

Required Professional Designation / Certification

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; . s! |3 R& o6 [
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 5 \1 g! d- E9 T+ Q' A( }! s C
abilities;

Networking and Fundraising;
