execution of the YWCA Strategy

2 o5 n, U5 i( n1 x9 X( [• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 4 G8 s! D- _- Y+ i9 i8 W& ]
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations . U0 V9 a( ]% P
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 4 T+ l* h* A" T* H
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 1 @) [# w% \+ Q/ t' G
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and ; y8 o& B+ y- A5 m: |- p- [
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; + e& ^' `0 t9 r/ C5 v/ u+ c
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
5 J8 x3 W1 a7 |) ?9 V8 C1 h; Zchanging needs of the organization and community; ) }; o9 @, T, L( i5 d7 d
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
; O# q- k1 C5 X) ]+ {3 o4 lcommitments; : [: w: V' l) H+ z2 C p
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; ! `- P4 G+ ^: _/ ?9 D! Z o: i
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective 0 Z7 T- C' x4 e
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 7 W- c% C- ]& x* }4 s
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 4 c3 |) B. y, X- d l
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
% a8 |3 \! [) V# R9 o' f3 o/ {effectively and positively represent the association;

2 ?( @1 r( M- q) I$ ?( l: v• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal # O @8 z" y* @; @3 [
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED , y, b2 S2 \" x! J
the forthcoming year;
* i5 O, W9 Y- c6 Z* e• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical # U2 P% P5 ]: G. M
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ' A- C! ^6 @1 }% F* P2 {. F

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification ' ^; X2 B8 d+ i: o' r) B
• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience
& y/ z$ ^, w# w5 L, Q• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ) d- @+ H( x7 H W! U& J
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation & E& T. A: ?! N: I" @$ x+ \" n
abilities; : ]4 J7 h& H8 d1 K: Z
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
( Z) U6 v" D4 R3 q2 j; o) MNetworking and Fundraising; , Q9 u' i! w1 i3 E; w
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting

• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
