execution of the YWCA Strategy

0 B. R! K/ @9 Y& P: o1 Hthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by ( u6 X w3 t' N0 F: Z* l, |& k
the Board of Directors;
3 o+ ]( @( m. s' N8 R; y; L• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 9 r- H% |( J8 z+ v, `
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to / }- E9 c4 y9 z
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; 2 `$ d, B, Z! n# P) B0 c/ _- X) C
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 3 |! ^, ~. W( X d7 [+ \# b, F
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 6 @- ]9 V8 U$ \! d6 Y. o! E6 ?' C
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

& p: s% r/ i6 _1 g, ?: b• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
* M+ E# D" j0 E" N8 scommitments;
+ k) a( j4 V* ^# m• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
* C! _; Y1 D+ y3 X) R/ `. f/ S o• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
% u5 |9 @& H- nselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
: q% {' A* g) C: t4 X• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
+ S* r5 X3 u9 o' l3 p: g. Q- h• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to ' R0 n9 `3 L: R6 K( J
effectively and positively represent the association; ; p% {* ]8 c4 d8 x% r% d+ k
/ r2 Z# n) G" g1 b• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ; T% L1 R0 ]2 G* x5 G" j' ~
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;

performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 6 O0 |( N) B+ g7 x- z9 }$ R( Q
the forthcoming year;
8 I3 X. {; H" s• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 6 h/ ~* f: Z. b& W
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ( p$ S! Z" D) p
YWCA Canada; and

• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
