this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and # C M0 r5 F7 I, y U! o, a
execution of the YWCA Strategy * d6 x* m5 }* H) w; Y2 \

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
8 o' e% S5 Y" L; n& }+ ~/ |) y% b, Qthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
}$ V3 J L, N; z6 G$ fthe Board of Directors;
7 c/ C+ `4 ]3 W+ v• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
- p) J$ U2 _1 U! F( c# Aincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
! v+ ?$ q7 w2 C% {+ Eobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

; l* `* o+ {( y( V: y, h9 I• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
. y2 ~2 |" X8 `; a3 I1 i5 h4 T& ]• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
! h9 t, D. g9 m+ b3 V- a) g4 xthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
5 g1 u6 k( i* k6 J- I. ^• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
7 b9 Y- [" i7 c3 {. i2 @- |changing needs of the organization and community;
7 j# o6 C( H, B, d6 q• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue " J$ o* \% a n% x* R
commitments;
! M! x9 j a \' U2 Q3 U8 }7 e• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
' C3 w; u# Y( ~' K( \, g7 l• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective 4 _* O8 K n. v8 P$ P
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
' Y2 ]! }3 D# [5 I: m• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 7 ?+ g3 R5 s( ^. u8 _# R7 [. I
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 2 X9 B0 C! N4 H: g1 z& U: `
effectively and positively represent the association;

6 q9 j) a4 i* `7 K$ L+ C• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
6 k2 M& Z1 ^3 P3 F5 tthe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
4 f1 [2 m4 n$ u8 R* c# G# d$ R• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal ! C- a E2 L* k# x, T5 ^# S$ J
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 3 p8 ^5 d/ g1 j1 j

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
$ a- z5 z& J7 Ypractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Professional Designation / Certification

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
}/ u- F) m7 b5 J, }+ t% S( r. p• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
9 ~: X8 o4 U, r* Z9 D$ G+ C& x# Habilities;

Networking and Fundraising;
