the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

; P! l/ X$ I1 e- p4 K• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations - s- g8 c) L4 t2 _2 ?$ d
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
. {2 a4 H" K9 X$ h% Y ?5 fenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
4 t* S% w8 \! m" g: l4 m• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
/ X x/ ]+ N8 ~( x; F" Sobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by % i; n8 O' B4 p! `# ^

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; * ?: |5 A( Y0 r" z: }- H
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion - c/ i& r; I1 ~8 O: A
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 5 j0 s5 I# G& Z
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the - J2 x: `4 g3 f
changing needs of the organization and community; ! P" y; h# m4 [+ p( ~
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
- [; b4 ~# U8 h' s+ \: }# l/ {9 e• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
) }' {+ k5 X6 ]4 o% Mselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 0 |" Q4 t7 D5 B5 o
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

1 _# t' T+ M0 R0 g: u+ e• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring , [( S& x/ _+ N: c- A- D
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; . q' G. a- W% V: N! u
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal ' I7 [. O5 _$ c% D6 ~7 a8 }7 Y9 X1 n
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 4 a+ _3 a! V0 n. ^4 i
the forthcoming year; 5 n3 m5 q* v: v
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
1 w4 ~: n! W3 q+ F: |9 M3 Tpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification
9 J g5 k1 J; [• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. ; n* n( b# G! V1 d; Z6 P, ?! j! N! _
3 j! K* C! t/ n& HRequired Experience
6 R; T! J% E/ k: b3 C( C" W• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
2 P" m9 a8 N2 ]" s( [, o• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 1 [. F3 J, B7 p; I; `0 B
Networking and Fundraising;
