Specific responsibilities include:

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
5 ^5 U6 I3 ]6 I* [- w fthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by - P/ ^- p8 Z+ U$ G( V0 Y1 g2 o) U
the Board of Directors; $ G8 L! w, h2 q; ]. W
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations " q/ i; s) N. q
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
/ E+ o/ J! [* d0 x# x1 |) penable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

( s) h8 Z& V8 A5 }) Dobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
) W+ \+ Z3 w+ o" c• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion

; ?# l$ O7 T- ~• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the & S% @6 N) o% e) q0 E/ g0 w/ {
changing needs of the organization and community;
9 \: l9 N& ]& J {• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 4 C4 S7 T4 w! z% q! ?
commitments;

selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; : x' b5 g" \/ ]6 G
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 4 M( w# |5 M- G2 U
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to " D3 I# W" o3 B8 Q6 I* d- Z" R
effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

% c, ^+ O9 N& F4 P- i• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal + E8 U" u/ m. E
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
$ p' y0 n; I9 _- W( T& p) Q1 Epractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Professional Designation / Certification
/ q9 X* L4 E+ K2 ^• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. # y1 W- u* }( T" e1 ?- v9 H

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
; X [0 A) {1 E4 y$ e2 S• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation / o' i, {' H- q: x+ R- H4 R, T
abilities; X$ H$ T0 J/ @8 [+ ~
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
( P+ H% ]0 u- o0 E$ ENetworking and Fundraising;
* d9 l# l: L1 b! t$ h* g• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting * u: E- V( V+ o; A
and financial statements; and
' s( F; g1 x$ q8 L! ~• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women 3 P, A3 S U+ H/ v" N
