7 ~0 p9 D& R+ C$ ~( B• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
2 }9 J+ @8 r1 M% p5 V" U+ W8 X* Nthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
: u! _7 q: S% s/ Y j: Gthe Board of Directors; ; E3 ~; ~* h- N$ O. T
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 6 Q/ ~3 e. a2 {/ E
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
' N5 F: m9 z: J# i7 P) t# ~% Fenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
/ R0 H4 R# U9 H/ p9 e) |• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion * d4 }, u/ W3 ?% ~: E. o% c
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
6 i: q# H7 G, N6 O/ N$ Z5 L! R• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 4 ]+ W- k& t* b( H/ @# d( C
changing needs of the organization and community; ( ]! t. R1 _0 y" D
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
. g- J( j9 u$ n7 ncommitments; b# w$ _& W7 H
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; - ~( B$ a- O# c. t6 `
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
; b2 L; ?; n' Q/ j3 qselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
: ^ [4 ^! _3 d• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; ! O; K, L$ b! p+ r, v8 F, }$ t; N
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 6 _4 Y/ T3 D! I4 I4 V
effectively and positively represent the association;

8 F8 W& r5 m; F8 g: g• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 0 e* ^- z. I4 C( D
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
: e0 F9 D8 G% U* _• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 0 ^0 u9 C) n) F3 O" a
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 0 s" ]5 w, N4 w" g/ ]" ?) l
the forthcoming year; 2 q8 C- Y- x% g# e$ W5 f
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
; ~" b! y9 n! h8 v1 W+ r# h5 Zpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification
5 X7 {9 N: Y; q$ z, A• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience
7 g7 m% r$ Q7 Z c/ R• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; & J6 P: O. g5 Q# e
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation $ a; f! T6 {. n4 L' `
abilities;
/ s- d: H. R! w+ I9 D8 E8 j• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, ! j+ B" c( N& A/ e7 F% A! r
Networking and Fundraising;
& u; h* u0 w$ E" i2 |8 Z% T• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 5 i( u5 B+ V: M9 [
and financial statements; and
! Z! X; n; a, z* @$ g• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women + f3 ~" {" i' n. z2 N f, {- r. i
centered perspective.
