Specific responsibilities include:

the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

* s; o5 I/ X$ q5 M/ Q" ]• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
+ g( U' q0 c, v, r! Bincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to ! |4 c5 b+ T" ~7 B' N. e
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; + M0 `7 p, \4 f3 V. Z" ?0 n: {! ?
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
, @' ?% z/ d2 \$ M; g3 Oobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by ; z* e6 A, q7 p7 S+ z
the board;

0 v5 x( `5 Y+ B! A0 f• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion

• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

+ k6 F {0 G0 R8 D• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

# u8 r5 `6 r# r( B. ~8 L• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; . J( H0 ?! R ~/ k
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
, u3 d, o" D: p% ~6 \$ z/ b( Uselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 8 I4 |. P* ^8 a: c) h4 l3 x
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

effectively and positively represent the association;

the implementation of systems to manage these risks; + A5 F ?! u7 c! b1 h$ v
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal # z/ \1 f0 t! `5 z' m! `
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ; \3 P; ^/ c; H; {+ P
the forthcoming year; 8 a: S" l! x# k1 D+ L
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical & r! b' P. G( q4 p9 D7 j }- X3 v
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of 3 r( y' h& {# M' |8 R2 Y) A$ T. k$ F

Required Professional Designation / Certification
; R' ~' o+ x+ c4 z- D• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

4 z8 A8 [' g3 fRequired Experience
) U# ^) `/ h0 p V) O• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
7 ^& `5 [( f4 V+ J• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
/ ?& J5 }2 B) _+ p5 v5 h' `$ tabilities; ! L0 k2 L v4 o! O) u
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 4 m$ g) E# \. s H7 {' k
Networking and Fundraising; / X& r( I: @) w- ? K/ U
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
