execution of the YWCA Strategy

7 X$ Q$ G6 j, N# ]$ S• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 4 w9 E' m* W6 x1 a4 B
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by * Z# U6 W# }( p! i/ @0 f+ V
the Board of Directors;
: k% E4 f W( b' d3 ?+ D• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
9 O2 w. x% L: W2 zincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

8 z3 d& q2 q7 Y% g& I% \/ A• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
- F- h4 @! W, ]0 A0 x/ mobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
' Y: Y1 P" s% G/ s9 y7 N3 M5 Z5 K• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
% }+ ]$ i1 ]/ mthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; % V: u! x4 S8 \+ `
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the # n9 P3 ^ _, p% {, w! v: p2 K
changing needs of the organization and community;
) S# ]7 r) H2 h$ L/ k5 Z$ g8 T• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue + ~+ A$ c* u9 f- @& `( ]# Z1 g8 d
commitments;
7 k, ^! N; e- d9 T( ^, j! q1 s- |$ ^• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; % Z) e& E9 `) t& B9 C
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
7 V9 h: \& A. c0 B7 Tselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
) {& I4 E U, L% M" p• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 7 c+ |- N& P6 f4 _* T2 `( L3 j
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring / Y+ M; o0 \$ S: B
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; $ \5 ^/ B0 q- r1 f4 ? W A
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal & Q+ u1 _& S' ]# p; q' E7 u
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical ! Y% k* g4 x& B9 c, `# r
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

/ c) l9 l& f1 Q/ `; i• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
" m: I% d2 u$ v6 R• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 0 x* q1 |7 E/ d, {* d
abilities;
4 r3 J) B- Y% |# I3 p& k• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
. u9 x6 ?& d) V5 r8 p. F4 a2 ` d5 GNetworking and Fundraising;
; n- d5 A2 J( r; C9 h- k• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
