) W1 q. V0 P5 s1 Q• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of / I6 L& [* L$ W5 s. ], d- V
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
9 w! n+ h+ E9 A n5 i& [4 Q6 B4 athe Board of Directors;
. H7 p1 O7 b6 c0 d2 [+ M• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
; p$ _/ `# T! y! q$ p) xincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
q( l* L% Z2 tobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; 9 ? T. @" t7 l
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
/ d8 r0 @& |! P$ b; A: Kthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
8 Q% V v7 R& s• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the + ?7 X5 Z( E' V& P% r
changing needs of the organization and community; $ d5 l* i* ~; o3 J6 B
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 9 Y) ~4 i0 C* u) f2 h0 G
commitments; 9 Y, n' V8 n( [; Q* O& w( \* D
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
" \! s, Y8 j/ N' F1 q( y• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
' z q2 u* R' a& {; t0 `5 Oselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 3 i3 g' ]1 e8 W3 S. r8 ]* Q X
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
) ?3 ~# j5 N* m& Q8 E3 v• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to " \/ J- B0 t# a# v" S& r
effectively and positively represent the association;

& o% d" {* G7 u- V$ Y" o/ j• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ' n1 l+ V2 S: h

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 2 M% `- ^4 T5 P
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED , Z/ M' l- q0 }; ^
the forthcoming year;
! ~& a2 l* a- a: r" g• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
9 E+ r4 |; D( r% S: g; P, }% H& R; Opractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of # M$ l9 v( v1 [/ D- \$ w4 I/ B/ K$ v
YWCA Canada; and

Required Experience
; N+ h& s9 M$ J4 V( t d• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
6 I, J8 z* N$ j• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation : Z# o2 P. S1 h! g- O
abilities;
- i) g* T# {8 y2 \• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, % \% d: L0 S {; B& L
Networking and Fundraising;
