Specific responsibilities include: ) t* v8 j6 {* q3 |+ u7 o" w$ n

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 8 ]. V0 ~8 ?0 e
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
" E$ I6 X4 q# Y, [the Board of Directors; 5 l! k, a" [4 o$ }; q# P. t
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
1 T% k$ c# z+ S; L& r: Tincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to . B/ `( N2 ]& q6 N
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
& y" t2 |( W( M+ F# h" `• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
4 X; w2 S! m4 K/ Yobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

" Z& o1 X' s- p! `• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ) ~& d( l& C$ n
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; $ r( o+ P) f3 M) W) a% @
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
* ~( M# e* F' X4 uchanging needs of the organization and community;
$ M6 K% d0 P# m d• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 3 v. a# V: o8 V8 D/ s) v

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
t' ^( h4 T. P' L! C3 p+ b• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective ! x( Y! q7 u8 V% e9 l! r o
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; , g; g$ k6 g0 I; c! w6 G
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 7 o* I& @! Y; @& D
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ; B) Z3 B% x; x
the forthcoming year; 9 @) |. d' s( s( ]; B
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 7 F' j. R3 a+ B* d" T! M9 e2 ^) c v
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ^! M+ b' _6 b/ D' w

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. 5 C1 C5 e$ N8 \% C+ y7 ~

Required Experience
; ^6 A) x( \. H9 N2 \+ l• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; % V+ i1 g# f! z9 t. J( _8 N& b' k
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
* g% Q6 q' {# T# A- v' Oabilities;
