& |' N0 n; _. v8 k• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of ! h# e# U5 z2 f* `) ^: r, ?
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
5 M; g# h {/ X7 hincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 4 c# v' p: X& x; Y! n
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; * s, a. N& Y+ d# M) ~7 R: c
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 8 l2 @' @! g3 S" r
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 7 I4 f) e0 `0 S
the board;

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 3 a1 [5 ` q% m0 \: }

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;

selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; / C! h8 C9 |% A' o n: |& Y
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 6 I# w* j3 V8 Z+ T1 A1 A
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
& E$ o b2 T# @5 d q) h• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
- w+ v! ?- M: Sperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
$ W# F8 t- v1 |: \the forthcoming year;
' Z1 u1 m3 B7 z• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
( n/ K6 D* f1 L1 H2 Mpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 1 ^4 f: t8 E+ ~! l" ~5 V+ h
