4 k K5 R7 {. jReporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

7 y- j2 v' l; w3 I8 ?• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of . r, E: z5 E# n. v# y$ f, i
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
/ {8 R& Z. w. I! l* @, G$ X& sthe Board of Directors; & O$ ~! z% b* G y3 k& u5 K
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 2 V. g& R+ I# Y- t0 ^' a
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
& e! x" G0 G8 y$ q- denable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
$ u W. O5 z' |+ X• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
0 f# @3 @6 V) e: B! r& Vobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by - l; n. c! |! P) s
the board;
7 g# T/ `- b ^+ x7 J0 x6 d H8 T7 ^• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
9 J5 j) U" f9 J• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 8 ]6 k6 }# `" R+ r7 d: X( i
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
6 e9 N8 x5 c* v, T" n1 x! M3 { q• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 0 \7 c* u; e( f. U
changing needs of the organization and community;
6 }: b0 B- D( ]2 \5 ^/ E8 ]• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue + H* T+ r/ B# `1 O% U' O0 j a

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
+ f+ W- F0 Z: e5 Y5 ]• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective 1 `+ p0 D* v% M! a8 w( [8 |* Z
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
% S& i& D2 `" S• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 2 R$ _+ u& L2 z$ e$ a
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ( B* Y6 O x" V+ f
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; 8 ?1 \: \! |' Z- N4 s' E
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
# u: Y7 o& l# l( r7 ?3 t* sperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
6 i* ]9 X* u. t4 z6 ^8 b- T: lthe forthcoming year;
: c# Q* F# p* S& j# z0 J- b• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
- g! @ h H$ w. U$ q$ fpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. ! l4 C. F0 J. f% D8 w2 t: s4 U1 g! N

& H3 E# Y/ i6 ]; [• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
& a: i* m* X+ E5 _$ d* Z1 B• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation - P, @( b0 q( }
abilities;
9 ~, F- x+ Y& H7 S• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, ) g/ \3 J, s# _4 ~- |# G
Networking and Fundraising; 5 n Q1 ?7 R# v; f! p8 O
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting ' ?1 p: X* k1 K# U( @# h
