this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA

9 }2 u H9 d5 m! P• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
' \( }4 @' M% ] k& G: athe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 4 I! h3 Q) W' V; G8 _8 n4 ~9 p
the Board of Directors;
, E6 ^; v& f8 `• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
6 \ I2 H$ [3 N* y, c. Aincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 7 _: Q3 ?- O0 S! z; W7 ]5 J
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
, q" H+ r- P2 t: g• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
1 Z8 \$ h- o2 |; ~" u% tobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by " G1 V, p' P$ J! y( W: I
the board;
* d- A8 K1 {( R# ~" g7 i4 L• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ) ^" W" a8 v% M, s) I
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
' o' D; O. ~/ n# I3 F0 I2 o1 ?the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 1 r3 f% s6 B8 N# X& n# r
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
( ]6 ?* V1 T9 d8 O+ A/ x4 v5 i5 S9 s7 `changing needs of the organization and community; + R+ h% n: Q/ L# G( \
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue ' _+ R+ \ R; S
commitments;
* K/ K; ^: |3 s8 W# v. Q• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
4 \* e& s6 y8 N) V: b6 d4 k• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective l/ B) L# b: K0 Y/ X# i2 p
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
3 _; \2 \! V2 x0 h: @5 B- F• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ; j+ ~! Z/ D& K& ?1 ^; h# x
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
' f$ p) A) u J$ g• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 3 t B9 f! }: D% s9 _( ^" W0 W, A
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
& V- I) j7 ~2 s$ V+ Fthe forthcoming year; 4 c8 G f5 D$ k- f3 U
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical " K) E2 r7 E5 d9 U& y: E6 S
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ( U! V3 O: e9 ]3 G# {2 \

Required Professional Designation / Certification

Required Experience
3 p! o# q/ P+ e# c: B! c- ?, y# k8 |• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
, V+ D# v5 t& |: Y• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
% f. ]% q! D3 N8 u7 O$ uabilities;
" O5 g$ x3 e$ \• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
, C: G; {0 t& F# V: e" l$ \Networking and Fundraising;
* H6 g$ o2 M1 c7 [ t: ~• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
2 p. [9 c: G( n8 E7 T1 l Fand financial statements; and
