execution of the YWCA Strategy ' A4 x" ~$ v4 U* l- W

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of , \/ j5 J" v2 j4 Y
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by , t2 C, ~$ e) g/ \
the Board of Directors; + @6 [9 ?) r: n8 l" \1 `
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
8 }$ [; D5 K8 @5 Aincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to f4 z. p; L' ^$ {) \& {
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; , E) ?: |$ H6 c
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
5 L: B1 D0 `# ^2 d, c1 z: Fthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
) s. t8 g) y3 ~# [, _2 o* E* ?9 X• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 9 G1 K; j) f+ \* k2 q, ?( u
commitments; + Q- x# u* s- d) {/ Y% l& p9 Z
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
% ?* P M, u, u7 M• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective ! v; h0 z/ Q/ J- I {& P! A' z
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; $ \! Y7 }. P% S
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
, i( H2 _5 C) J# P• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to * y7 N ?% @' e& s
effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 0 A9 ]* X6 g% s( T- k
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; . ^3 B3 b4 ?$ O# a3 L+ Y
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
4 S6 n% t: K) P1 _4 _0 r2 u9 o, Bperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 5 q$ z5 {& _* Q" M
the forthcoming year;
- Q0 v3 G8 r& x( k• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
* X1 S; C: W% [2 i) P5 Spractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

1 T" B2 D/ [* x r) C• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience 8 A- w0 q9 {2 Y8 i0 D r+ c
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
* U0 V1 J: h8 G0 T• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation & e* [8 i6 Y; r# {
abilities; . d/ H7 t' s6 g& v3 J
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
- T+ o* `% z) `6 @9 hNetworking and Fundraising; o3 i8 i6 \7 b7 t5 ?/ ~5 e' t
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 2 E% T0 A) p$ U1 ~6 Q
and financial statements; and V3 }0 F# F3 k' J; J
• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
4 n0 w; U% P* O2 X% lcentered perspective.
