Specific responsibilities include:

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 2 E3 c$ c) S) h+ Y) [& y7 q; ]7 E- x
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by - A- A6 f9 W% Q; l' O, p% E* g
the Board of Directors; # B; l X/ G8 L1 S/ |: E5 j
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations ; e6 m# o+ Y, h( I. ~5 p& _2 N
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
, S7 Y2 v5 R8 J9 G0 O% } G% I( X& I+ Penable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; % Q5 J& O1 a+ b
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and % p& Y! }( v9 f
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by
' @8 h# b3 h( @the board; ( ?5 u, g+ i9 `' ~0 z5 B! P( ?
• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; / k& n# q% u8 y; I& x4 |: ~' T
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
& X1 ], f# g5 Uthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
! g2 z- }) G1 g& Z9 [) ]; p( N• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
% I5 S- J- [6 M) R2 T3 Pchanging needs of the organization and community;
( \9 K; i+ z( f6 O! E• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
7 ^! g" P& s$ _% U n" bcommitments;
8 ~' w9 u! ~' a1 p• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
) h9 J- `1 N) v( L• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
) X5 J+ b1 M! y _selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
' [# w% X' o' i7 |- x• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; . K) }3 [/ j2 g
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 0 w. Q J* R0 a* K
effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring * o7 k% a! f# n2 _3 x
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; % Q _5 q3 p7 x3 ~: ~8 o5 e, c
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal ) g8 e( C) f. d/ y
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 4 `: ^3 K/ B2 O, e6 p$ Q
the forthcoming year;
- M6 e0 f( p" Y* v• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
+ B6 k8 D3 O4 m% D/ u8 v+ Qpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of " K- O) o( F7 u; Z% h: \- b/ h

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; 0 c+ l( r4 J) f
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 3 C" I8 \0 M2 N; ^ b
abilities;
4 k5 ^% L+ B+ e. i6 |, l/ B& w6 o, m• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 5 q B- r/ k' P
and financial statements; and
