Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

) m. x+ m# z5 t5 f, Q& b/ hthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
+ |0 N" u: O( ?* P+ `5 a0 U0 jincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to ! [( u; {$ Z9 D) O# S: F
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 4 F" N+ G2 T' V7 j8 h- i

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
6 S0 g. J+ f8 x* D- p2 q• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
/ j" v, T- t/ mthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
9 r' X3 p0 h* E2 A$ {6 `$ g• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 6 t y! Y/ y l# U ^- ]6 S- P
changing needs of the organization and community; - L5 e/ t/ ~1 u5 S/ J# Y( l
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
! F2 b/ }( r j. [commitments;
9 o) T2 P3 S4 k9 }% ?( {' L- u1 E• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
3 T: q9 g/ \& }3 n) D C• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective * Y/ R/ @( r m W. i! U2 P" s. @
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
' N! Z6 p! U( ~* x• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 4 b+ p7 o; r0 x; `7 Y! i
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to / _- [" ~0 E; `9 S6 r9 {
effectively and positively represent the association;

+ X( i( a6 q" k. z3 ~+ V• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ! G2 c( e3 A+ z& p
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
& k5 J& H G4 T9 p% \5 ]- m• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
1 G/ F& Y; k) B6 U8 gperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 8 E# P& A0 o+ U& J) x
the forthcoming year; 7 v0 {$ r! t7 R& D/ W1 t: e
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical Q" B) ?5 a' k, t7 b1 g$ B
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

/ |: e9 L& n1 f2 x& g7 E+ D• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
