Specific responsibilities include:

R3 @( Y: `4 E4 A4 b9 s• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of $ W( h. ^/ A! W6 r- s
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
2 s2 U7 u7 ~6 f, v. Y; ethe Board of Directors; ) m7 b+ D% j9 x
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 4 ?% T' J0 K9 t$ n7 @3 `3 f. ]
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
/ z3 w) @, s, [ ?" a9 l) s. aenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 4 C1 o% D6 u+ W7 {! g s4 c" l
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
: j) j- [ x) b" E1 ^) r6 J' ?objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

2 C) R. ]1 L, w6 z. J" w6 X• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; 4 u4 Y" a; s9 y+ E; r
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion # \9 U. y- z& ~6 z. U
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 6 {) w5 n* ?9 b4 }
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
6 W6 K& I/ C; W. N8 k; b. Tchanging needs of the organization and community;
- }, h4 U3 p: W• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue : m) l; W& a/ W' v$ D8 r/ z1 L! V

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 1 ~& P7 a3 h& J
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective # i2 v: E* O4 w1 a0 h6 p. I3 [+ y4 l
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; + T3 J9 ~4 B/ N- Y6 \- E8 w! \
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 8 Q3 [2 g5 d; V
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 4 h* f& ^3 d, z8 D c
effectively and positively represent the association;

/ n# o2 c# t' a2 \8 l6 n• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
# K4 v; ^4 K$ k' w( cperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

; E7 o, ? a# f6 ?2 J$ n) W4 K• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
& a+ W8 v5 O; K0 K$ `1 ?/ I" ppractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification
# }6 H" [& u7 x- q ]• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; 0 m- G' R/ S$ ^
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
- b. I$ C8 ~2 P/ qabilities; , e/ x% T; ~- i4 G& J- F1 e
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
: a' |' u- K0 r' T/ FNetworking and Fundraising;
' M8 t" ]# R2 Z" J0 T: P• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting $ T+ |$ v3 }* {3 t' {" d
and financial statements; and + \' |8 w2 s, G9 j$ b/ W
• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
