this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA

execution of the YWCA Strategy

Specific responsibilities include:

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
, e1 d7 e% L$ n* zthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
0 R/ ]1 _+ _1 K! sthe Board of Directors;
! n! Z7 S2 k6 `8 d' E• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
! N+ i( o3 p9 gincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
/ q! p) }$ @* j3 G+ Ienable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; ( b3 c/ P! z6 m; G& G
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
& n4 S, Z B# O! x1 bobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by * T5 D5 G& `" @ \! [: N
the board;
1 S& w Z6 ] ]% ^2 R' U& i$ K• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
6 }3 K" H8 W0 M" ^• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
N- x) [9 I7 k1 L. ethe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
+ \4 I3 T& v5 F6 q, U( ^" S• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the , z! f- j0 h6 O1 D* r
changing needs of the organization and community; 3 i5 R/ [- {5 G: z
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
& ]" s5 ?9 y8 ~commitments;
4 s% v! q1 h% h8 E• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 0 d$ w/ v9 s; b' g5 o; f6 x) O A( @
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
( H6 s9 H1 T- n1 w( r4 ]4 p D$ y0 fselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; / @# X% C! f4 K7 l$ R
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; h f1 o, `. J! d1 `3 f! y
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
/ I u, Y& O! {' r+ P) a6 r/ {6 }9 u6 athe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
& C- b$ n; m# ]6 \+ D4 X• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal ' O, P% k# n. O x& ^
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
' a# u2 J1 D. |5 o& I' c, ithe forthcoming year;
1 v& S1 G5 j( j& [( w4 [; q• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
' R" o' y; K' E; I' l5 ?practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of * B- I" W/ N" ~( x. M! L0 p s* _" K

Required Experience
9 ~8 m0 N3 ^6 ]+ R4 O• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ( m4 T1 m4 V a J
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
( i; {6 u9 Y% c9 O- ^$ y2 ~5 H, A) _abilities;
3 m3 e/ Y9 M# A1 i& n• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
- ^+ r' x, i' U( u4 P8 LNetworking and Fundraising;
% ?4 H K2 b4 [, |; x, d$ Q• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
9 U8 \1 K% Y$ ?3 F' u yand financial statements; and
. _5 c& |" J6 r6 s7 ^+ q• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
