the Board of Directors;

including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
9 {# e% a3 {) Eenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ; J+ U; u1 R, {
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
8 N5 T0 T6 C9 ?5 q& Qthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
$ F5 X5 J4 `" a9 K; i; [5 j$ N! y• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 0 s$ j) s- c8 i0 b7 j( v
changing needs of the organization and community;
* w& T0 x: q% a' I. V) |. o' @• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue + {# N) M5 F1 ]; H- E
commitments;
/ V/ b% i. b3 M1 ]• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; ) c7 \3 w, Y0 H; J) ]* i0 `
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
9 u7 H) a4 K) Z& u0 s% ^selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; ! g1 w- F+ j7 r
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; * v9 v- I; E2 M6 D* v
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to ! L& t( ], d% M9 F0 C
effectively and positively represent the association;

$ y H" J0 _/ `0 \2 K! t1 p• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
- R u( B: Z) G7 s- h- Xthe implementation of systems to manage these risks; 0 A" K* I. Z. L {3 H
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
+ k. C8 B' i# x8 c# a( Vperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ( p' b$ s9 F1 F0 k7 g% v
the forthcoming year;

practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ) P4 e1 m$ v3 P2 ]' d! H
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, * P8 m, Z4 F' f: S
