The successful Executive Director (ED) will combine a woman centered perspective, strategic

execution of the YWCA Strategy 6 n0 l6 H1 o3 \/ Z5 g8 @4 j

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 9 T- x; v- Q! Q# G
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by $ Q6 J3 D8 }# p! B: N5 n, P1 Z$ ~
the Board of Directors;

including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and " c, H+ H! v4 A+ y0 B$ N5 c! [- ^
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by " x2 H+ a8 R u; W

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
7 L1 S2 e7 ]/ X• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 0 z- |- K* @/ G9 l! g. q: e+ P& P% w$ M9 F
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; , j6 ?! h0 r7 u, n7 k
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the : x0 T! U, Y% M# v; `
changing needs of the organization and community; ) y1 ~' O% |* {, N" b
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;

5 g6 G2 G: ]6 [+ xselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 0 Z1 O6 m2 ], |7 Y- ?) G$ m& ~2 x
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; / g# I1 ^1 |1 e: t
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 0 f- v4 _. y* _3 ~
effectively and positively represent the association; ( l3 a" w5 E1 w- C
( K5 n/ x: o! N8 X• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring % W. U, U& {1 Z5 | C9 p
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;

performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of 0 F! z! ^+ p: U

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification
4 [2 d. g) S. B• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

: X5 \; y5 _" J4 M- @4 b• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;

Networking and Fundraising;
