Specific responsibilities include: + \- Q0 c" u/ J- K! R8 H5 k* L
' ]: [9 R9 ^* M2 x1 c• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of + S4 k- R' h6 @2 W. d6 Z M
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations

enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

' _% P; h9 p- J3 ~* F S# Jobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; 0 `5 @/ s3 d" C; U8 P: `+ V
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ' t6 t2 ^! D( l4 ^
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
# s0 [- u& S2 D2 i f• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
; J: m5 y. Z$ ?2 |3 Rchanging needs of the organization and community; # z5 {3 ~8 e; [2 z M
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
8 Q9 r; o9 E# F% Y Ccommitments; 6 p& f( o! a: {$ t3 H! V3 n- [6 O* O
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
Y7 l& c6 [; ]) A1 j# V• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
* t; q# O+ I2 o+ V1 i1 L" ~0 Dselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
1 M9 u9 M: }# |• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
* i' a: M$ _/ H- S- ~" |the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
- Y+ o S9 z& g) X• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
1 H8 @; U1 u" h" a: t8 d' K$ u+ cperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED & _" T6 o6 z, @! O+ q- A0 z1 r4 d
the forthcoming year;
4 Z& a, U+ X3 b• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical ' U2 g5 U7 X& S: o2 O
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of + {8 i3 Q6 r8 p& i7 t$ X

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ! S2 L% g8 b$ C: _9 w q
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation : N( q o. K* ] }

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, ) }' p7 V' M, E9 H: V; J! i9 X3 u
Networking and Fundraising;
