! q# R9 z$ |/ Q( k% R• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
6 W5 A1 ]. ?, }/ ^/ ]& ^the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations $ C# \/ Q& x; I. ^
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 4 p# H4 x8 p* Z/ J) E
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 8 N" e" j3 v' \
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and ) C6 b' e% P4 M& K
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
/ l' Q: V! l* T. X4 ]) P+ Jthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
" l; T' S2 D, [2 |• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the ! s+ h+ M6 n( C: ~# D

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue ! z2 I4 |7 p! w4 W4 T

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; ) b; T' J/ L- M
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
7 A: c! t3 N9 R$ x5 Qselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
& l1 ~) _- d& s* D: b, r4 n3 I• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring : E3 n# F3 U7 U* c2 G/ \
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
1 G( {+ s! l8 W# e: j• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal - Z& l' d8 K r# r
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ; f2 l5 n$ z" P% q% F- A" ~/ f

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical # O, ^$ Z/ I. W! _+ R: Y6 v
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience
1 Z. h. t- E4 L, D3 F: L# e• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; * D- F$ N' y: ?0 x, v$ @! D
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 9 `$ H, N3 L. b& g
abilities; 2 C* U5 R0 f+ e+ t, S) @
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
/ y$ k+ M( F) W0 N( l6 u/ M" {Networking and Fundraising; : V! W, N O$ T
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting : p/ y: E" [( c5 _" B( X
and financial statements; and
