5 B1 B6 N: R+ E& a. u* q5 K5 A• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 8 l& F4 k9 m3 Z" ]0 B/ j
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
: J& Q9 t: {5 { U9 zthe Board of Directors; , k3 q, o* g+ g$ N/ v* |
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 4 ]. S6 X$ ~. y4 |
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 5 P3 o' j& ^ Z' _* V- V
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; : V5 K( ~, A" }& |) ?( Z
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 1 V& |5 b a2 V3 U
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by ( e; W0 ]6 h6 Z/ r! r: O

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
" z" C; Y) f* Y ]& I- I6 w z$ v• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
0 K/ @1 V2 i! k: G( l4 q3 q/ n5 Bthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;

changing needs of the organization and community;

commitments;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
# j8 |" C. ]' t6 Q5 W3 Oselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 9 e$ S- I N, r" N Q: A
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
/ [' z5 j; Z! A: z) v• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 9 _! q$ W* E E
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
3 C7 K7 |" ?# c2 }, F( ^) ?• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal w+ J" V: k/ [- _& A% z& r6 K
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 4 j1 W5 R) P* b, j" V1 R* m
the forthcoming year;
, o; d& X/ F+ l3 z" s+ e/ a/ ~• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical ; ~( s& \7 Q U1 G# H) L
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of / F0 Y' w* a1 m( t6 E# I I J U
YWCA Canada; and

Required Professional Designation / Certification
' r* l9 V- H4 u% _* }2 I: U• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. : J+ K) O, Y4 u

Required Experience / E8 d* c$ t: t1 W& q0 x; C
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
& _ L' O. K2 V, M+ M9 t• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
2 t5 M: x* x2 p5 T( u; ]abilities;
& |) N$ ^" U+ E3 f2 e• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, / y: d E+ _* F _& B: t
Networking and Fundraising;
