1 F3 D! `2 W, A- j" X% m• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
]8 _' g' E3 R+ d0 _7 hthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
' V* p) z' p5 {' x, s0 Nthe Board of Directors; 4 c' r% ~' z2 H: B
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations . {; f7 C* V* f9 L1 K
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to " i7 _% k0 d$ x
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; a2 C& T4 |4 b; M; w- v [ u% U; o: G
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 6 J n5 x- }( h; Y
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 8 O3 M' z) C! l0 W6 E, y
the board;
$ N, e/ U5 e3 F; w• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
% J5 |. r4 m3 M) _• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
; w4 g: _ L, h i4 R8 Lthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; - ^" b7 D$ o# C' O3 r& E5 Y
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the . x# p, n9 E% \( X; L
changing needs of the organization and community; 4 r/ m6 g1 I! u' R# b1 U; ~& R
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue * ?! \, X3 W- T4 r
commitments;
. `" a; ^' Y) p6 E; w$ I0 c1 ]• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
8 \; V" a# {2 u8 {$ l• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective 0 }' [. g8 U/ M: r9 v% K! p
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
, P, M% @# T, \) G• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 5 g' ?! {. P8 k; V4 u% S
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 3 e% r) K7 ?: y$ v$ M W4 w4 K
effectively and positively represent the association; 5 b0 @( i3 c. o4 G, B% F9 W) V
/ g$ m6 V8 k" E4 M, \" a o. p1 M" n• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 0 d6 S& d6 l' U& w: F. V9 g& J
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
1 _ e9 i1 f9 n$ d3 N1 h' l• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
5 p' N/ L: L% }performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED " [' H$ e. W9 z2 \/ F
the forthcoming year;
) e( j1 j( }8 j: `• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical : T& S' E" n# f; B+ l0 Q
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

2 {1 i+ F1 w, ]2 t+ Y0 k• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

0 `/ X; Q" H. k) l. m) g• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; + q: }. I7 Z0 z+ v* z
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation c0 U5 x) r1 |+ w: ^5 C
abilities;
