Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and ; i+ C, L0 L6 E( D2 c) z

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
' ]1 |5 i9 H1 A! b/ N" Fthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 3 K! ]: {$ v9 w8 S& h' F

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
& F; [5 d9 h4 I2 ]0 b( u- `1 H' S+ z# Rincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
# K( Z2 a; d+ y2 Nenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
# S4 @' F; e0 V4 K) Q• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 6 h. @6 p( Z; Q* O# V
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion

• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 3 R, D* z' a9 G& `
changing needs of the organization and community;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
; }; V) m' p2 k9 f8 Nselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

the implementation of systems to manage these risks; 1 ?; @" S# R/ x7 i
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
! X, ?4 @! |6 g2 ~: V/ \performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 6 q7 {/ _+ f4 u2 }) C3 A' g( s- M
the forthcoming year;
: ^" y# O& X: M9 H) ^4 `) {3 _• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
, \3 D4 ]$ ]; z' Tpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; + h' T1 w+ {2 e" `# f
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 8 N3 s2 t' ?- z. N

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, . r; c4 c { \' Y; L
Networking and Fundraising;
