execution of the YWCA Strategy

& j Y: r. F: R$ j• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
/ c3 g9 E2 @ X n; v0 zthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
. G9 X" D0 y6 }9 x, a) R3 gthe Board of Directors;
3 I; g9 J+ Q6 p+ A- b$ m• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
" o/ ~/ D7 U; G7 |- @ ^0 bincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to ' x4 A* y% i4 M( D' [
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
+ l3 }. s' i6 r/ d! B• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 5 m+ m6 H# Y4 d
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

. C7 w7 }& e, D% j+ h• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
/ }: p2 J' Z- _) H5 a4 _• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 6 [8 w; R1 u0 M
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 6 P* M8 S% @! j0 t9 R
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
7 {3 s3 \* v2 H! xchanging needs of the organization and community;
$ Z% w4 g/ R3 c3 @9 V• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
6 W, j$ w5 L( c! ~8 D' E• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
$ B: ~" Q& {+ Uselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
$ r0 G. \/ U) T/ X• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
$ u; o* |' a( I4 j' K$ b" L• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring / m- J. d! p% p9 \3 f: x0 ^
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; # J; Z: L/ Z1 E
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 4 t: I9 Y0 a0 r) N1 H1 h
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

2 d4 Z: \6 Q# c• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
9 n* s. U; @, f8 ~; Lpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

+ |. h: l5 r# W/ U/ a• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ( S$ P9 D! y5 e/ [* ^5 T i6 u
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation & E4 @3 V7 b$ [' ]- _
abilities;
7 q6 K; g* b# w5 }% E% C b• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
& B! B+ A4 N+ r0 j+ n8 dNetworking and Fundraising;
