The successful Executive Director (ED) will combine a woman centered perspective, strategic

this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA + E" h) x6 B% m' r' Q6 x

the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by $ W1 {( C0 w) L

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
7 b. f3 q. Z" M) y y; G7 ]including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
4 @/ W0 _% s9 _( {/ a: `objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by ' o& I: n! m% y/ V9 G3 c

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; $ [! G, r+ x, L9 a! u4 O! M$ s
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ) l8 e( Y( K) C4 p1 Z
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
- K9 P7 V7 K/ @3 ?3 A3 r6 n( M• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the $ `0 G8 N1 f% |* o0 A
changing needs of the organization and community;
# g/ a+ h. @, r% b* f1 r& Z5 a9 Q+ m* W• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 5 S; ]; Y4 k R% _
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective 3 }7 W& T% S; X: i" Q4 S
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
0 u6 ]8 f3 X8 Q" Q• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; ( B; \' O- ]# R' u* Q$ u7 b
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

# O: p* `5 D4 Q @" e5 o' E: v• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ; q5 } D! i* r4 v

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal - [* ~ w/ t+ Q( i9 ^/ m
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED , ^2 G* r" p/ x
the forthcoming year;

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification
; X! M0 w: x$ K1 Q |# j• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. / B9 c& f2 w t6 y. d

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; / }8 N7 M2 l5 H+ q" z/ e
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation % n: \* D% S% H- S0 ?
abilities;
