Responsibilities

execution of the YWCA Strategy & W5 I% U5 v; F$ e1 B" e+ d

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
! }, w% V: z4 |7 a2 d+ ^. wthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
5 X5 E. A# s. O% v# lthe Board of Directors; + o2 B$ X3 p4 z
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations ; q) J6 _* u3 ` W3 u5 z
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
+ t+ v7 g* F6 p' menable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
( l/ o8 D. B6 s) }# D• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and ; X6 y) ]3 { o5 F6 R4 d
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; / E* i1 J3 q' z, q
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion + n+ W# n3 U: M1 P+ ?
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; * n$ L" Y7 k4 [ l
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the , |+ t" j3 H/ g; }. F0 v b8 x: A
changing needs of the organization and community;
( W( g1 f, T- Q) W• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 1 O# m0 d; ^+ q; M2 i1 m* G$ R ~# w
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring $ W1 K. p/ \. x+ ?9 t
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
6 \" I- a* l/ f! u, y2 Y% W• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
9 v$ S2 `/ E# O. Aperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED % k0 a! B4 A2 l9 r8 ~5 e2 l
the forthcoming year; / f0 E. W# f8 F
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 8 z' h4 ~: e+ _6 V% c( w
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
4 r) ?# W# I! a• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 9 a/ f: ]. j% Z K; E
abilities;

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
