this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and " V, X% d0 P) m
execution of the YWCA Strategy

1 f. f' b4 H1 p' f9 N% M; H4 _! x• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
3 K/ y9 B3 w0 o& }* s% P1 g w& athe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by $ H5 T! `3 {8 J* {9 y

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
) v% U' G, g) g( f6 Q$ _: t Bincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
9 o3 M+ b' R# menable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 4 J) |5 ]0 u; W
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and + T4 W. s8 i" m ?( e
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by , `& o) G$ [2 l" w# R% s: D
the board; 8 e) L& W8 v+ }$ I z
• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
; c' p# o1 y, r* O' r; _: c0 n2 T• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
' z! j6 Q. `7 ?! ~. g* X% p, Hthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
6 a% p+ O4 |: [" h, B9 i7 v• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue ' M8 p h. U* t1 X. L6 \; O. {
commitments;
& N, B& N6 R+ w0 o3 F• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
! n9 l2 b( _$ ]0 S• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
+ K9 r7 L$ o% h: Yselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
8 Z( [- Y( e# ~ V• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
8 J$ a2 V4 c _$ P9 f* w9 n• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
& r0 H2 J, x q: b% Xeffectively and positively represent the association;

+ a. }/ q6 {8 ` x• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
# r! `8 u; P. K. C* Q$ k4 Pthe implementation of systems to manage these risks; ! y/ n, e4 Z7 ^" n) _# O8 P% N+ \, b+ s
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
: p5 S5 g7 w+ A( ^- i9 G: pperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED * i5 E. m9 }* \2 R. V4 m) V
the forthcoming year; ; |6 Z2 T- E* }* T5 E* B: e7 e
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical - ~' ?7 Q7 c# Z+ x5 u4 Q/ A

5 g/ C' w& j+ ~ Required Professional Designation / Certification
0 S7 @& W) a4 v I( M& q• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience ( i2 c* O4 _% H
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ' a) H7 c* d+ z3 q+ ^' K
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
# j# f6 B% g! ~& D# r0 J, babilities; % b! h0 Q) V/ R8 l
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, ' T4 y& [2 @+ K, A2 |- i# C1 p
Networking and Fundraising; " W _+ k- E6 b! r# I+ y
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting ) W' O, }' ~5 l5 Z" J
and financial statements; and
- A9 @2 w% V# P8 b: s6 M• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
( G6 D( A0 m3 o% l* Hcentered perspective.
