execution of the YWCA Strategy

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of $ U1 K8 T! c" x5 n' O
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
% B9 H G% |0 m& X& Jthe Board of Directors;
) H0 z7 I* d8 U- _0 {0 x• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
" Q! ^8 Q& t0 n/ j) Gincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
~# V' ~! p% Penable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 0 T4 p* e" r6 S1 F! N J
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and + }" U* ~# |" k8 D
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by
% {1 ?4 ?) G4 [: l% o* i, S% n/ Nthe board; " R) @ `( i6 _9 l
• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; - b9 T3 }2 _; | F
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
m" `8 c. e+ d3 I% `8 Vthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
1 ^4 ^. E7 A$ p# ]+ l) V• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
; M+ g% p& i9 x* I- S" f. S; xchanging needs of the organization and community;
. p. V6 K+ L/ f7 M5 L/ a• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue " J4 t4 t. u+ ], H. }" G

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
9 o- [6 s1 R5 u( K& ^3 u" x) i• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
' |# B% {1 I) |. B5 @+ n. G& tselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

$ o$ y3 w- l) @2 Z! |$ c• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
' k; Q+ [* v9 [& \the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
! }. M$ t7 x l4 q2 k; _* S• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
2 t) }2 e1 a0 l: D/ Y0 B$ B& {7 @0 F: Eperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
6 C& ?9 x/ i: L$ K" Q# \practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

, T0 R, @; N( c$ l% y* w+ t• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; " ?# q( [0 T3 h0 q7 V
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation / g) H9 Z% S Q8 ~
abilities;
3 L1 l- {9 a. b# |: P• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, / S2 ^% I) d+ y

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting

• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women 7 @4 i( ?( z& o: g7 f. Q O; w
