Specific responsibilities include:

: O, Q9 S" P7 A9 O• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of # V: ] H1 \' v9 h2 x1 t0 e/ e+ a
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
' [* k: ?- ?3 R+ M' zincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to & I7 b/ t. e3 u" O* Z6 R! s
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; : I' l7 z. l; @0 C" i0 N
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
8 M& t. L" H/ b" j7 aobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by P) P0 x; ^' I5 O" m& ~- M9 X" {6 _
the board;

4 U" G/ a/ p1 I% y0 H• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue $ P' }7 H% c( i6 ^2 w( w% @

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 6 y k0 _( t, o8 F+ h
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective / l7 d& ~$ Z( F" T& F6 e1 T7 p+ K
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
" F0 A4 L) K! o2 y# j5 {• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; ; K: ~; T' B) f2 n! Q: E
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to " s/ Z% |$ R* H% W2 u
effectively and positively represent the association;

8 Q- {+ E: ]. R* z/ d• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring * _% O; S- T# b7 t6 t1 p
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; $ W5 q }5 ^7 e
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
3 N. J9 r* O/ w' O0 [performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 9 G/ d8 v4 G+ h" z
the forthcoming year;
* ^+ K6 x" `: [" Y• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical : {: k; o3 m7 }- A$ a- n
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. 8 Q4 H5 f+ `' x5 U- ~+ \

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
