Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and 4 R- `$ d2 s( k' _; i
execution of the YWCA Strategy

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
* k6 a* e; R$ p; ~# Uthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by ) E& I: \# a1 Q' f( M& X) E. |( z
the Board of Directors;
* }8 ^6 s2 ]1 j: ] n• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations ) u! l$ p; v( A" G; O% W2 l
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
7 o1 Z) i0 {5 g1 i8 Y8 C4 tenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 2 `: v. j8 _( Z; V" x9 _
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
/ @ N3 R, ~3 c2 l- Nobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by / u( X; ]# C% x+ @3 m
the board;
5 x( n+ P5 z3 @( t• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ' J R. G% s. i
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
. X# L) n/ ~8 K pthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
6 f8 m0 E! Y, W' a• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 7 A# H8 V$ N+ Y, S
commitments;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
, g: D0 a! t3 O1 f1 a7 fselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
1 p; s( v% H. V2 J, w, b4 O0 w4 x• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; ! Z3 X, M; c( Q; i& c- b6 Q6 b
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
5 ^9 Z* q$ B# h9 {performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ) Y. Y2 T$ B- n- {, o1 d- t }) g
the forthcoming year;

practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification

Required Experience
* Q4 V0 a/ z# s+ c/ i/ ^# r• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
& L( [3 j) G' `8 e7 t• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
' c1 Q/ C8 V; ^6 }- labilities;
. U6 r& s1 `/ }• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, - b* r' T* r9 u+ n

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
