• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of $ L. Q8 o- p: U5 Q- d
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
- F- u# B' |8 g; [including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

$ T/ a3 a- t5 p ^5 r• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
$ A. O5 g L- i' e! ?8 G, Oobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by ) @$ k' h. `9 p% O" g
the board;
; g' x7 d& h( d) l4 m• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
' c6 e; M* h4 A9 T# ^8 F• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion

• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 5 b4 F3 d: Z$ s/ Z
changing needs of the organization and community;
# f6 {5 D0 e: o# S9 S/ L, \' T• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue " T [+ a& u, Y
commitments;
8 ]% M D3 t8 w. l• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; . U' f, z" a" X5 K. u I; k" g/ i
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective * J2 E, Q. ]0 K5 F& ]3 G
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 6 F# U$ F! ~7 O" D, t0 V0 O$ U
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; & f& Y( @# e; V t( y
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 7 q: s- ^2 J3 u+ i8 s+ ]+ o
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
7 H3 N1 F% R. u: T' g• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal + K* [5 k q. I7 ]. H0 e
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical : ^1 w3 [5 j" t* ]- _8 Q
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Professional Designation / Certification
2 G9 u/ h: J$ ?, Z• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. - p+ z6 z0 M: t& |+ i4 ?1 _6 {

Required Experience / n9 H9 G, ?3 w& S# @# z
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
8 g# A. t- u) d) M/ v• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
5 e- l0 q: ]" u8 f8 J/ k7 labilities; 2 k4 m+ o+ }; W; h4 j* `& j
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 3 N- \& _: Q8 |* a
Networking and Fundraising;
8 v4 X" X' C7 n- R% q1 y" u• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting * k9 A* J9 T1 Q1 S" z
