Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 6 a2 Z9 h- q% u# a

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations - `7 o+ l/ f) V; E4 e
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to , b: B% q" j: ?9 [
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by # |& { F% U3 H# G% D! E% A

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; ! z- O* q8 s* _ J
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective 9 e6 ^+ X& h& R4 e8 u
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 3 g0 i% X: i3 B1 q! @' p3 I
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; . f8 L; y1 ^: {% `" t
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 8 h8 Q' ~* B) _9 k5 ~: d G$ |/ T
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ' F P. M3 u6 K4 H W4 x
the forthcoming year; 5 C" V# |2 W/ f6 b/ O0 h
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical

Required Experience
" J! S' p. L+ I) f7 @• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, " J4 b. E! [8 A! j8 B2 Q8 b
Networking and Fundraising;
