Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and ; x6 M$ C# O; T* X/ S$ U, t/ n

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of + t6 V/ \0 b9 X, p) b# c" P
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by & c0 Q; `& D7 \. w2 ~
the Board of Directors; 7 s- U% [/ X& T \! V/ H
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 7 g+ {1 `; q5 }- J3 _7 n
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
# W! A9 B4 N7 K/ B- Yenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; # s0 c. s6 M+ f* O- S' o
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and + @. `* } C. I$ d+ ?5 [8 i
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 1 z' R' Z4 ^8 n O9 O

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
' a# o [2 i* }# d# n& |% E& b• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
$ M U( a& z% Fthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
- t e, G$ R% t) Y- \• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
% { [+ `# _/ d; f: P' wchanging needs of the organization and community; 5 Y, g. B" d7 @/ p6 N
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
) A& i# d+ T2 A: ~• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective P( B A9 u$ Q$ ^2 a
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
* ^0 f6 K& s( v* G9 R• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; / y9 q T5 `9 C/ a4 k6 {6 U5 F
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 7 ^) ^' Z% Q: K* Q

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 8 {' o! _* ^: ` z
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
% H- H. y/ q# R mthe forthcoming year; 1 J) d3 K, o2 @+ w6 I; Z
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
: O, S: j, D, F, [+ hpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task * E" S9 e; {1 V' C2 P/ O

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; $ {/ Q Q- v7 N9 p2 }8 }
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 0 x- J3 b! T( w3 @

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
