this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA 3 m# Q) X' G' e% t

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

Specific responsibilities include: 3 [3 q+ \& s; x

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
5 r4 o ^2 X9 p+ [9 H9 F9 Ethe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by ' ]. N- S5 u% M+ Z
the Board of Directors;
. S- X* B7 `9 N: {4 x- p+ C% V1 ]• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations : c$ U0 ]8 Y: ?' n' a
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and * Z& `' I0 @& T5 ]; F, P% t
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by / y) j. {" t7 z9 Q+ q* T+ y
the board;
; z: c3 f$ a! n" s• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
0 p% p$ T6 ~1 y; q& ?4 _ u• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion `2 z) x& p1 ]
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; - i: X G7 w4 i9 {
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 1 n( |. ?& |6 q& a6 i
changing needs of the organization and community;
9 D) v6 [5 p+ F& v• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

. a2 U0 ]3 X8 g& R• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 1 o; v2 q; O) t2 L* E
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective

• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; $ b; m4 K# [" Y3 j9 [: N: y- b1 g
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to # W/ k5 j# h" K: j: M( N1 N
effectively and positively represent the association; & }( g; Y. d. @; ~3 ?/ C

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 9 V, T( F. Q; x
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; 8 l/ w2 y. ~/ d& ^2 _, `
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal & s S. _3 A# I1 C3 t, _/ D+ a
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 1 M0 t. ?6 [1 e' Z! P$ R
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Experience
( H1 I4 }, b0 Q+ j2 [7 }• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ; z2 D, C" A) V1 l2 K5 d& h( \1 n
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
$ l" z, y3 q9 U. I2 |& cabilities;
- L/ x0 s, `! |2 P6 w' ^1 R• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
' s" p* o" s4 Z! F, kNetworking and Fundraising;
& B; c/ E% Z3 x% h+ {, ^% `( A% J• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
( X8 T! k% @3 m+ nand financial statements; and _2 a' \) [ t
• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
& D% |! X$ M& w1 D+ \# hcentered perspective.
