the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by ) [* P& e2 j' L+ |2 A, ~7 n+ F

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations

+ e& Z Y3 ^5 ^3 w( e1 m• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and * _% Q; S4 s* J6 f& I0 X
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion + e5 K0 A5 x2 O1 l9 p, T
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; - D) h5 h1 Y; J2 E7 t7 m4 k
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; . ^( I% Q+ o/ n& E; n& `
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective + k' i0 y2 J5 C; I! t
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; - `; k5 K; j" {2 ^
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

effectively and positively represent the association;

" j' L, ~0 m4 O+ @8 ~" p1 d% c• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring & J+ w1 C/ y2 T& z6 R2 N: Z0 Y) `
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
6 g5 E& ~0 E6 W• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
. J7 D# d' U2 G8 e" {: J. Dperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 4 Z2 B# r3 ]/ C+ R' Z
the forthcoming year;
5 p" p' u0 w+ h) A• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task $ B; }' C$ R5 W/ i: _

Required Professional Designation / Certification
7 c. h4 X# U: h; @! w• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. + z5 P7 a$ ~7 h) Q* ?6 Q9 Y
4 m* u* ^8 ^0 WRequired Experience 1 c7 x2 p5 m2 Q! H, t( F: W
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; 4 v$ P! `* T/ j* j1 B+ u! f$ N
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
' F* W$ Q7 }' L3 ?abilities;
; \9 B) w: O% L! F) p+ e• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
5 k) v& Q0 K; z& W2 cNetworking and Fundraising; + E/ N4 M6 P: |. X, T
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting # I. V6 I- F, e
and financial statements; and
