Responsibilities

execution of the YWCA Strategy

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
2 |% N5 g& T" o+ ^the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
, \! A& D: y' p$ lthe Board of Directors;
3 J6 @9 ?2 [6 z; `% W# d• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
# M% T) b k1 `" \including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to $ t5 b! p0 ^4 I1 U
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 5 A/ x4 M1 ?# o
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
9 m! O% A4 m. a0 s% u8 A# lobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 7 l/ M. @0 k0 i* g/ c; R

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
4 z l% m. b6 j• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ! e3 ~. J# s: p- \4 H" B" K1 R
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; ; j! X& d0 J: X3 \$ k( ~* E4 v5 }
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

+ |! ~1 H- x# |# _• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
1 W- G; t( L. i+ i- b8 P/ P& `selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 2 l5 e# W# X1 F% u

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring / T, q" {+ h; I4 \( H0 }/ n
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
1 L, E. ~( N; u5 d; l( ~4 U# l) x• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
# S; b: }" e; R& x) s/ rperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
7 Z+ F; O. @9 e! p$ g% Fpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Professional Designation / Certification
8 G$ d5 R: A; R• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. $ D' X( {; s# X: h) Y2 q

Required Experience ; i; f% b0 h; F$ v: {
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
4 x2 ], }! `! j, ?$ \• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 6 x2 g; B2 _4 w0 \3 U S
abilities; 7 \' Q: g2 I; l& U3 B% y+ Q
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, * I+ a& c- [: M6 X4 { p
Networking and Fundraising;
