• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
& s# |! e( J4 G2 P8 ythe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
( N5 X# q+ I8 M Y# T- hthe Board of Directors;
( D9 g8 B7 W6 h* ^4 H3 Q' h" H• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations ! }& T2 [' X/ h6 I4 D! J
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 6 B+ O, d* ?# f; k G. m
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by : i0 z" ^) ?; K3 B, }0 `
the board;

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ; ?. |8 M- \8 ?
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
) s# G) m. E) G& I2 b6 d. ?5 I" b• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 1 ~6 ]5 H/ R; l
changing needs of the organization and community; ' f" e2 F, f" _3 D3 V5 K
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 7 N# m1 m, {- S; N
commitments;
# R. k6 P: x! w• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
( O. P: j3 s" o, J• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
* @6 K2 d+ ~8 l% Kselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
# \4 d& ]' G9 B* o, y• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; * e1 r0 w% G k; E s! q( p
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

( Y: P$ x: M1 w3 F0 p3 d• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
: m! D6 b; B! |the implementation of systems to manage these risks; / |. J% S! ?2 I( N/ X
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal / u' [5 I% r0 f% h8 y0 M$ w2 m9 \* c0 B
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED % w, q8 v5 b& @7 J d5 k
the forthcoming year; 2 Q, h1 X7 W; }9 Y: H% `' V
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 1 P; V, X2 Y& A# W5 `3 Y' Y
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of * Z2 N) x. P+ q8 O

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification # A" R: y( `9 C5 J
• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience ( ^" ~. s! f+ y$ {! ]9 @ n' N
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
/ b; P/ \2 V H2 c0 A7 ~ y) K• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
$ V# E; y( c! a$ m/ x G, `; xabilities;
& x$ F) _0 b/ J% V• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
& E8 ?( x# v$ ?% W# M" dNetworking and Fundraising;
5 L: ^; q6 P) ~ u• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
$ W& D* `5 u0 J/ Q& Oand financial statements; and
