Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and
g" ~8 A% N1 L7 zexecution of the YWCA Strategy ; Y- v5 K3 P$ }( O$ w$ H

' x3 U( V$ _9 ~" ~( y" P: E• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
! Z: W& H# ]$ s3 X6 B' W5 Vthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
5 n+ }' |2 W- ~$ D7 F! zthe Board of Directors;
* }7 f8 _1 `9 h% c" w A: k( J• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
- H5 Z( |- o* R, O/ uincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

6 p8 a1 P5 X# G) m' }0 @• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and

the board;

the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
9 |4 S$ S4 J% k/ K+ C• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the , l' a' {& A& f& x7 }
changing needs of the organization and community;
7 _4 F0 ]; i( h8 _( v• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; ) ~ R/ A/ C1 v* {
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
' z" C0 _! x0 M8 L0 ]2 Qselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; ; J6 S: B+ h/ O0 `5 W
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
m! |, s* l2 \( o' b) t; y. Xthe implementation of systems to manage these risks; 3 c! p( o; c0 M/ z* T" w0 G
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
. \: H ^9 O: ~8 [1 X4 Cperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
! t! r) r# C0 O: m( Pthe forthcoming year; , t1 T* j$ r8 x; a1 R+ O
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 9 G; t1 v& ?; H. L- e% Z a& `; l
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
; J/ v: a: _9 R. K3 |+ s• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
; Z& z6 b* k9 N) A$ l- J6 F9 Habilities;
+ K8 u# B* U* P4 u• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
; K7 r% Y: I7 Y6 XNetworking and Fundraising;
$ X9 A$ X# N4 T• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting

• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
