7 j. u! S" L6 k3 Z# v+ G• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
- Q. R9 ?: W9 i$ S7 ?the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 0 n# }8 Y: x( P$ R0 C5 x
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
, q1 p+ M; M% u5 Eenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
+ I6 U- G( q2 A• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 5 I1 u9 r! ]( |6 g9 _4 h4 `
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
9 q! [, c. I+ f+ q9 {5 a) ]: F• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion / I5 {3 b$ e5 j% N0 z- I. l
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; : |# G# B9 I$ [7 G8 F
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the : A/ y! _# r. i9 D! G
changing needs of the organization and community; 1 z- Z4 S& @, h6 j$ Q, ?
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue : S: A9 `: @* L# H0 T
commitments;
2 n3 G# m0 ~; `' @7 Q Y0 [7 Z• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
# v$ y, _. d3 H) E3 ^$ g# h( z• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
9 {- M$ P" ]: Y8 w: W( M1 z3 O3 tselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 9 O- p9 I9 E$ F
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 6 f" s5 n9 F% l v
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 8 Y/ ]/ o' C- J: L6 Y' W% M
effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ; ~9 Y) Q: e, k$ Y
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
7 M- L$ \7 p- f; B: {• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal & ]# M& c' j" _& o6 i, w
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

( G1 [ H5 b6 ~; j8 K! p• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical + x4 ^' H7 t. @. I9 x
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of : G o. I/ ?( e; P( U# `

• Ability to develop and understand organizational goals, objectives and operations;

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; # ~- g) _/ _0 o
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 3 L$ ~; V+ F9 v

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
