Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

Specific responsibilities include: % b9 P% L7 I- t" [' g" b/ v; z
2 V6 [5 m: _2 r5 `) I# z• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
2 U0 X* u, A) P( u! y; @+ ~( v* ~9 Ethe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
1 S" f4 o% F0 Qthe Board of Directors;
, O+ X0 r: X4 [3 u% V• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations # i/ _) m8 v& q4 t& ~# f2 D+ k4 }% m
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to # ~" y( K2 S1 X
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
+ R. D: I+ q: o5 D• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and ! l! C- C( g" k5 s7 c
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by $ E+ y+ _* `. U# l; y4 n

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; $ d% \' L g4 f" P$ M
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ]% A1 x+ A3 T2 Y- p. @
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; " Q3 D; J: s- @% w4 ^
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 2 l' V3 a1 v7 L) ~, r: j
changing needs of the organization and community;

commitments;

. z2 Z% V6 Z2 h' k' z• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
. [, w4 `5 u3 z; V( eselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 7 a* f/ e( N" e. s5 A
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
7 V5 y ?; R S6 m# y' w• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ! {) T) Q0 Y6 i
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; ^" c% O ]& H( p4 w
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal $ H% `2 c4 C: U5 i; ~5 F1 ~
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED . F2 T% F/ S/ R- G) ]# J( [) A( V
the forthcoming year;
/ o5 j& V: A$ U( o• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 4 U. T: \0 E( e6 M
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of : }& l- I! n1 v% L

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, & C1 e( ?& i* O, b! Q
