; M* l8 x0 g1 q! X* d• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of ) Z4 A0 P" o: T2 d# ?
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 7 L4 U: q/ a2 c" R, a; R$ t- k: |$ ]
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to $ X; @& G5 R9 w7 x5 T$ G- w; M+ t
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; , N+ ?& |+ S: Q0 }& f3 i- E
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
5 h+ B- y' k! y% Z6 q: Y, g' |0 `objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by " \# U# J, z* m. e

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
2 r! O, \ N/ M% K* N" x5 b• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
$ M7 e3 ^7 A, dthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; # N( X5 R7 V! w1 @
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
$ X1 q6 h* Q" Z1 }/ Q! s1 L3 Fchanging needs of the organization and community; ( E0 F; D, ]- c0 l& e4 k
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
$ i* [, B5 Y6 Ecommitments;
# w; W! u9 u! G4 D7 f5 u2 u• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 3 J- f; |2 B0 c( v: r
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
' d2 ^* P% I2 i0 E' ]# f, L% k* lselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; : o' d9 O0 z- n* M/ u
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; ! b5 P) A( Z! \% i5 D0 u" r( Z1 v v
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to " [+ c& |) A7 r( ]! l( I
effectively and positively represent the association; . t/ j; ]1 s" ~% U) A

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
0 N9 i3 B7 G7 E7 z/ O$ Vthe implementation of systems to manage these risks; 1 y, f8 u) W. k. d
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 8 x4 i& ^! w- r7 `/ h
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

9 X" G) |2 B2 ]/ }3 O2 ]• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical / T9 U v2 k+ `1 V4 K( I% o
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; 8 b1 F$ S. i; o3 J( l, q2 g( Y
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation * C; F: y2 B* B! P6 F
abilities; ) P! ~, ~4 s9 O" d
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
$ y8 e7 D ~6 ]6 z9 `. \Networking and Fundraising; * y. i' C' O5 m# Z, g3 w( T3 g
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting + ?0 @7 _: [. o3 @) q- N
and financial statements; and / o: l- u& B2 C
• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women 3 p( ?4 D6 ~. z: L/ w
centered perspective.
