The successful Executive Director (ED) will combine a woman centered perspective, strategic

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of . P% k3 f3 d4 s
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
! |7 f) M: t: |+ a& E" Ethe Board of Directors;
4 C4 G" H3 f6 S( o) Y# Z• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
+ x% O/ D' w k; F* Hincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to ; y$ [3 n4 G) }- U. `' s; P
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
& p- W. p' [( ~3 L5 L1 m A8 s• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion

• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
+ ]8 i. l( g- v. [4 Y+ gcommitments;
8 ?, l* W- N* b9 h( P2 C/ K• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
' @* h( v& w* F8 L$ t# a' s0 t. q0 m1 [• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
# ?1 X' A8 F }2 e; jselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
! Z, f5 J! ]5 M( k* `• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; # W0 j0 i `; }/ |; N
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

+ J+ k& ~1 ]. J) E# Xthe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
! Z& f* F9 \- `• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal # O, z7 @" Z! p9 y6 V
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED . {# \4 O% v$ D
the forthcoming year;

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
3 K; ?! I5 q$ y6 O• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
- B* e8 _& ? A" a) K6 wabilities;
6 q% Y* f' ^% R. k+ j• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 2 V! I# q+ X$ E, n$ O1 e
Networking and Fundraising; ( k9 y+ O% B$ v9 M2 k/ T
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 8 J! j& r$ Q& G2 `. {! V; o
