The successful Executive Director (ED) will combine a woman centered perspective, strategic

this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA

G6 w- w, g0 C, n6 d- E3 I9 U8 Rthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

) @) X0 Y: c' O. P• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations

enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; + `& [5 d6 t7 p$ x; _
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 6 z0 ?9 o y8 _$ {. I, g
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; 4 Y5 ]) N3 L. e% i5 G% z
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion * g. S# U% m+ v% _- _3 \- E
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 4 t- X: A" r% S) |% { ]6 A- p
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 3 B2 K6 {, c7 D+ `# o
changing needs of the organization and community;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective - x) B1 h2 Z& d. V
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring - V* u; |% x) K
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;

performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 8 V- e' k* W% c" D
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification

Required Experience
7 l$ d/ r* u- ]- I6 x9 L! c; [% Z" W• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; " h; i) u* I/ Q. J( ^4 k
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
6 |* v! _0 @. c) t' habilities;
' R2 u2 L( L% T• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
3 z; ]) o3 M5 X. VNetworking and Fundraising; ( f# k! W }. \# V' q6 u
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
