; F( X( P1 Q8 hexecution of the YWCA Strategy

, i2 @, z' \4 w* t& ]) [" U• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
4 N3 N. v6 w: M+ `1 l' Q/ pthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
; u& m+ D$ E* ^: J7 kthe Board of Directors;
. _4 P' y! I& b# S• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations . @* m( B& f0 s' Y; D
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
) N% T4 N- c0 s$ f9 j+ A( p9 iobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; 1 L. Y4 G4 i3 |1 ]9 k1 D* d7 z
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion & r* y' C& d0 j; W% U3 L
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
' X6 `! _5 L9 ~; I- O. Z9 o• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
# ?( l8 v' Y, z) t* g8 W1 }0 Cchanging needs of the organization and community; 9 @% M/ o5 L% a5 t
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue . [3 g; r* V* C
commitments; 6 c5 M8 m) F3 H
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; + N+ v! ^, H5 m7 \ y% n5 h' c1 c
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
2 {! b. n& ]( T$ b" a1 E. Sselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
# y0 F& y1 p7 {; L4 ~8 V; v• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; . s% R6 U0 w9 {# m* w8 n
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to * f* I( G* T$ h2 Q/ R/ D
effectively and positively represent the association; : r1 E5 Q; K' Z: U/ _3 f! p
+ q9 h) h) o$ S. j* u( S, h; `* o! g) q• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 3 [- a& T# h, D
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
: U) ^/ K2 N. q7 F• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
l$ p1 z' ?# F& i3 q7 D6 w. M1 |performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
]. C+ G6 V Z3 G/ hthe forthcoming year;
/ r6 ~, h& V O. B2 R2 b8 j1 S• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
6 y/ R; `# V5 M1 mpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of 9 G; P3 _1 V2 |1 U* ~
YWCA Canada; and
$ j& h* z: F! o8 z y, T# W0 r; d• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; 9 n9 [+ K3 C$ D8 }5 E5 ]' X
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation . _) X4 l/ s! b2 B
abilities;
* B8 L& N% @! O) n: T• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
: H, Q8 W- h* ~0 H/ `9 w: A KNetworking and Fundraising; ( \/ E6 }' E) x9 B' d2 C
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 0 T# b: c' ?' U& V1 C$ A
and financial statements; and
