Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and ; {. e2 t* B( l7 ?. U* X
execution of the YWCA Strategy

T/ Q8 K9 M1 F) J• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of & f- V0 J% b2 m: a
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 1 _5 V: F- t3 l. \' U! g
the Board of Directors;

including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to + Z) p4 j5 t, i7 q4 [
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

% m8 j! n* d7 ?& H/ C& l! [8 Robjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

1 x2 a0 ]6 g4 o• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
/ x9 O9 |9 p9 D• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
1 |1 E# N9 {+ @the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
8 B, E" X0 `% r4 i3 T1 n! N• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

& e6 h5 u7 Q7 Y2 r• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue - J5 [; s6 V# c1 v

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
; I* H# j/ S9 ~& I• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective " F6 z( L4 z1 l+ u9 _
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
j/ A! W& Q9 P0 m* ^• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
0 R! ?( d- l* [0 z$ D: X G2 u• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
8 M& y7 Z) E% Uthe implementation of systems to manage these risks; + ]. i% H" c5 Q4 _. y
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
1 u. j: D9 \# H' w {* ]+ G7 Dperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
& n m+ r- t6 B# g2 X5 `8 \the forthcoming year;
$ K, Z! A+ U r# P# W4 e• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
+ t4 D. f: V, C; l0 Dpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
( \9 M1 I* z2 G0 X• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 2 @% U/ k" l. p2 S; Q+ O
abilities;
) D* M+ i8 g; T$ P• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
/ A3 u) p; s0 P' z/ ~Networking and Fundraising; / |. s: Y/ C5 ~' d0 J! q
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting

• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
