- y3 n: ]: D# }# ]9 q• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
5 k( Q# o6 x6 b% q' rthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 8 t+ d; [- [. _6 C
the Board of Directors;

including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 4 c* K% f' z E: P& l9 e, ]' l
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ) |/ B0 g( B$ \8 {# `
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 5 T! A+ a1 o1 M: k/ {$ D
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
- u& o% ^* n. N* l& f' Z• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the ) I% o9 w o; f2 ^" z! \3 u1 E% Y+ }
changing needs of the organization and community; 0 s/ m- z( i& N( z2 ~; Z
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue ( q; G" l3 a* c- A$ g3 o
commitments;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective

$ X, p+ X/ Z5 U2 n& M• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 0 q. g' L% J, X8 U. T
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; & E- K3 S# {4 @ o
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal - l2 K: W/ G& N; A2 D9 X3 D7 e; h
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
% d: q% t5 U. C, K$ Vpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task + S! K+ p- P) |$ e5 y8 e* g

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; / P) r& k/ B* {. G G
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation : e" N9 B, o5 U3 C" l! `
abilities;
- e; t( d0 @) O2 c• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
& X ~; Y+ V+ `# H4 D4 g! YNetworking and Fundraising; % w1 g9 s! e. ^; O
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
