+ k* z1 z+ i' qexecution of the YWCA Strategy

Specific responsibilities include: 5 Q; a0 t( \0 T+ l5 \$ r

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 8 A8 m+ N4 [. Q5 _" ]4 r
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by : e5 k: \! z) O, {7 v
the Board of Directors;
5 G1 p. _8 \" e- t4 E" g• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations . z5 e* ?$ D' F3 |$ O
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 6 D' F( r; a1 p7 I* |; w* \: V/ n/ D
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; ( i5 v$ G/ ~/ ~7 Z- d- t7 {
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and " J, b/ V# Y n* Y- l8 m
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

, X+ W5 a R0 |2 O% y• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
0 m% @# y2 C- C. H* P; K7 I h• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
+ k, e6 G; M: J3 zthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; * v# b1 b7 V! d6 G" K$ X* L, s/ e
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
8 ^+ T9 g# }8 Nchanging needs of the organization and community;
" p; m' o* |& A! v& w4 N• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue @# L8 [* v- E! C) D
commitments; / {* l) a) |1 p! X( v
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
/ f1 z: v& q! ]# p2 `, N6 O• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
+ ]) M3 L4 v+ n0 V% Lselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
& W: }( x5 t7 L$ T8 h2 x• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
^$ |# X# L/ \# k. X- Z+ ^9 W• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
" f1 O/ }3 u4 E) @effectively and positively represent the association;

: ^( h5 ? a! N" O0 R6 I& h9 z" @• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
$ I" X8 U1 \% ^7 u' ^3 Bthe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
4 E) W' w+ a5 a# D# I& N2 k3 o• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
0 }% O5 R% a( R1 Y2 h3 |performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
% z) n# L' p# W$ jthe forthcoming year; ' c; h# V) z. f" v2 {! [! R, C4 f J! q
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
" h, p" R7 e! k2 ^# x* a5 hpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task - \( `9 }. _/ g

• Ability to develop and understand organizational goals, objectives and operations;

Required Professional Designation / Certification 5 M( \. U, Q+ F1 Y; {& W
• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. ' @; `! ]/ I0 K+ n8 U

Required Experience
8 h8 V6 W: W: K. l {• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
* b/ W( c+ ?. |- L: \; _" E: p' B• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation # o4 u1 d; b* J
abilities;
5 V* j' h; z( r j, K1 L; N• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 6 t4 W* j. D) W+ t ?
Networking and Fundraising;
1 \ t: _! z9 }: G- l3 J• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 6 T/ [4 C( u( l6 Y" m3 I

• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
