1 Q- r! O6 T9 X4 u& t- g1 KSpecific responsibilities include:

3 A- z S$ F3 z• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of & @2 e3 ~0 y2 {9 B
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
2 j1 ~3 \1 C' f' ?the Board of Directors; 8 D3 A& @% S, S7 R: |
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 2 A% B3 b9 ~1 P
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
& @2 ?8 K7 B: h( \enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
6 ]& }" L$ q3 p$ p/ F• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and ; ?9 P) `+ D9 Y8 ~8 z! d
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; % b4 J) X1 q+ ]- P
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
0 e% [& E. P" ^! qthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; " q3 _# ]+ r1 ?( A+ I
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
* a, X: V3 \. w; q5 U* ]changing needs of the organization and community;
2 w, q. E7 ]) R& p2 G/ R* x4 G. S• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 3 a1 z7 k, }5 n: Q P1 _

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; ' ?) y, ?* R6 r4 k) N0 N9 c3 I
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
* J+ t1 ]4 h% e5 @; y( K6 _$ }+ q. }. vselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; , i6 }7 p1 j9 z* N {( t; N) G
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 3 h9 J) p) Q; q& {8 q ?
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 7 o! E/ B# q! n( F6 _ s
effectively and positively represent the association;

9 M, `9 N& b( N+ {) i0 [• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
3 V/ e0 {! p# h' K/ sthe implementation of systems to manage these risks; ' u( L# w. C5 a5 d7 m$ p# m
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
5 S! D$ k, A4 Y0 J# X$ vperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED * Z J' H# Z. c v/ K& ~
the forthcoming year;
: r/ W' {( c/ K( u• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical - H2 y( ?' |( h) Z! t" j9 ]5 e
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Skills & Abilities

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
5 d2 i7 K4 ], A0 Q* z' W; D• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
