The successful Executive Director (ED) will combine a woman centered perspective, strategic

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and 6 L* A5 |, J; V) L6 g
execution of the YWCA Strategy ; A% {; C2 S# x4 D

7 t- C# z+ v* |• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 2 Q9 T+ ]: ~+ A9 k8 e# [/ W; ~
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 8 ]* H' s/ s* @% R, r% m i* s0 \
the Board of Directors; ' R2 T5 t& |+ Q$ P1 l
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations ( F, b- @. h2 d6 k3 \1 I
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
& \3 L& Z# W7 o" qenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
6 f: B0 v( Z# S• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 8 o8 l5 U3 E( ~' ^0 y( a
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 3 l) t2 W% m) p4 f! U- ` p

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ; n# B6 g3 s; i- b# r; ~# L. [
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion * c+ a3 ~# b3 c. R9 x
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
" ~" T4 P* h( N% H• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the " p6 X$ V! b% a6 I
changing needs of the organization and community;
- S0 V2 b$ M3 P• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue ; {! q$ ?9 J) O) C
commitments;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective

effectively and positively represent the association;

% @' W6 D ]# r1 H$ e• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
3 Q! ~2 X n+ {performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED & K) f* H n& B2 l8 M1 n8 Y. h' f
the forthcoming year;
3 I9 S& e8 T/ Z. M" y; r• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical f8 Z& P: j/ c) o) [* |& x4 R
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task , F0 ^2 ]1 }, r1 m8 p

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

7 M% c3 U' A2 z7 \% ^8 j• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; 2 |; b2 \ L! X$ t: R1 O3 X
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
