execution of the YWCA Strategy

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of ( y, T' o, y) x+ i4 W# k+ I
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by : p% Q9 a4 l+ i
the Board of Directors;

including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
, \2 W/ x% D$ H. S9 W* }, mobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 4 Q, s( W5 D- [, C3 x1 v4 q+ j
the board; 1 X% ^* r9 H! t( z( m
• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
1 d. \1 Q# y% x2 J/ c• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
& o5 }3 x6 n: Z9 c9 C ythe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
1 G* ~2 @9 C2 k" U* U• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the ' v' y" h3 M* F7 e! m: f% l
changing needs of the organization and community;
1 V0 {+ R3 E) ?/ ~- ]0 j• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 5 O. i$ {* t& E5 L
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective 4 O6 C% ^8 I. r* L
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
! D% g, R& v# i. \) M7 k• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; n3 V; F( j! v! k1 Y
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to ; x, V# i9 J3 O- H5 v0 P
effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring - g) y0 g7 d% M
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; . a5 V4 D# Z- p! ?% K9 R
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 5 j3 E: U! F# y$ V& _0 ], n; q$ ^/ Y; P
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; $ Q! O d' X4 V6 A2 z% p: `9 D
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation ; ]- O, v6 Y' d5 d
abilities;

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
