• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of : f/ D1 r$ U$ X" A* a* Z9 h0 Y/ ?
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 0 o# V1 o& ?! C& c! T. I

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 8 l2 K% Z: i% T8 W
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
, F# N2 X% [$ h5 J2 p: benable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
3 m% z9 u' r' f _! Z7 w6 B3 R• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
) S4 J0 c% z( y+ u0 nobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; , J F$ t! N" n) b
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion % x' ?( k Y4 z$ M
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 3 t1 q- W( |: ]5 S1 k7 C5 e, Y
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the ! g9 T4 ?8 s& M+ T
changing needs of the organization and community; , S+ v8 {0 \+ Z# L% V
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
( e# i4 v# _) G# e" acommitments;
( _: f7 r1 A- J) X: o# `• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
5 W1 D. O4 ] r5 Y• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective # \. M% ]( _" H k4 E
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; - I' ~; ]/ u& K/ q" T% O4 l+ X
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
1 @6 K) W# k- L4 M! pperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical ' a- v. m @( o& W
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ; m' n" S/ b8 C% {5 p# {8 ~
YWCA Canada; and

& [6 N$ V3 b' G8 K2 F" o9 z' P3 ~• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ; m6 C @3 S2 H& l/ ?3 F
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation - G% O3 Z1 W* @, \
abilities;
, r5 J" I7 u6 M m Y- o& }• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, ' k/ M9 B6 r: k: k2 f3 n" w

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting ) E! z7 A0 g- P+ O& w6 w
