Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 7 W; T2 g1 c; J$ ?" t2 z
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

% v# P+ h) L8 v7 a& ~• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
9 y! u) r# `' u* Lincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
( L9 l3 U5 t9 A2 L) E; i- m8 i7 M9 Jenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
# v1 o3 Q0 E$ B$ y5 u0 {, ]• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ' q9 u+ D5 k9 {
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
* j$ c! r% h' Y" b+ u: L U; `• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
; s ?. B4 |5 s% \ A. M uchanging needs of the organization and community;
/ v7 w, A: ~. L4 T% b• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 5 t, Z1 l& z- ]
commitments;
; h& M+ }. x! I+ P• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;

selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; $ ]& ^( b, a' o* e; `( Z1 P
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; + g5 |# t+ Q D
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 6 ]' O/ ^' P& Z; ?4 J* D
effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
+ j3 I% d+ }7 `: k% M( athe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
c. F2 J g; e4 V• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
" S8 L9 O! K7 b0 B9 Sperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
4 M7 v7 ?# J! ^4 r; o1 athe forthcoming year;
3 v K# g/ l" T• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
+ D9 J4 d* _" N( epractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Professional Designation / Certification
4 i. \3 C0 w) x; r• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience / e G5 S& `& o( k& h
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
* X; L0 \. {( I5 ]• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation : d8 C" g: A" E3 J+ ]5 v# t) n
abilities;
