execution of the YWCA Strategy ' X$ }' R0 e7 Z% t4 ?; o

Specific responsibilities include: 7 B0 B: m9 o3 A7 w

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 8 J1 N1 x" R5 \* S6 b
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by & C& z0 o& O* w* v+ q
the Board of Directors;
+ Q; u! Y$ i9 @: N0 U8 C; s• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
G) ~% d4 f3 N2 B, a. m* y. p! \including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
$ L0 S0 }4 d% H% V3 O: c4 m4 }. Menable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
' f% N* d' A' F/ t• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
8 J+ ?; G: h- \: @0 M; b% wobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by ! X8 }& d$ \# q5 n4 l/ J& Y
the board;
5 M+ _# X9 T; T• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; " J- x9 `. c, I6 W+ f5 d; o8 b
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ) r% o7 }" A$ @- H: y: ]
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
5 g. }( k& o7 `• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

' O5 O# C5 @8 ^• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 3 e. N0 V+ ?2 {

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
1 M0 c- e5 g1 b# u• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
, c% f& R6 X) c7 n- c* pselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
; V" E6 q- D+ N2 B9 I O• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; , W2 W& m% c, q0 G
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
- \0 ^7 K) c! A. e6 I, \effectively and positively represent the association; # s [& H7 Q, _1 ]$ i
9 o/ w) ~5 s1 q( f7 i w• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 9 a l! a- k0 Z! g; B( C1 o( d
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; 9 Y7 j4 H, a& X# d4 v- O; O _
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
6 T$ Q. T: W5 w. A, V5 V! eperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical p6 F) W) z, _* l! T
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of % y; D. e- V5 k4 u8 n

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task ; S% z7 g9 Q' X) N( l) @+ b

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. 2 W8 M x% g# X

• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation ; ~& p) T5 v! o* _

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
; K3 s# t# q2 L; r V& N6 C/ u. yNetworking and Fundraising;
9 {) k& e ^/ Y( R) d• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
