Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by ( H) l$ w# {) T c1 D' S2 }

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations " W! P; f% v- n6 x
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and ; G: ~- C `! U( p8 B
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 8 f+ @$ O4 l- e5 I t. z# c, X
the board;
?7 Q2 t4 O' {" |( f( \2 g• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;

the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
1 o+ n0 S9 I! M• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
& Y- R: z# j5 k6 F6 qchanging needs of the organization and community;
0 c% m5 p' |% T- y" v• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue % r6 K: s0 E. P3 S

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
# O i) {- |, _• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
. d3 ^5 P& ` W# `; nselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 9 u' j- ?6 O4 {. _* ^/ u
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
1 b6 `1 z' d0 H, K( Y• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
9 o( [, ?7 P- z* {0 S9 E) Reffectively and positively represent the association;

8 p; D2 U1 a7 K$ r, i/ B" e• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
4 Y, ^4 V6 v kthe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
- v3 Q0 g, }6 H# S9 M' A• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
! y' B- P# U5 G. m% operformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 8 x. ?* S$ S8 {: J

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical $ \+ J3 Z6 _. z* }
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of : W) s8 l" j. E% u- ?9 i" ? H

Required Professional Designation / Certification ' Q" @) E" ?0 d+ d
• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ( ~7 A" F& I) N% s ]2 K. G2 U
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 0 V' P& [- ^2 J" B1 ]9 F" b8 z0 M
abilities;
2 a1 O7 _5 \# I: Q0 ^: z• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
3 T5 r% E- J5 b: DNetworking and Fundraising; - n! y( @/ t# f3 s
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting ( |; h) R/ J& _ b2 b% _
