Specific responsibilities include:

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 9 t0 m) ~- b6 Q' c3 [- z$ _
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 7 B- s7 g8 F# f8 B R; F. y

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; 1 \- z; b b$ O. R) {% c
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
5 U1 T" J9 U% w3 A5 D# Y' Kthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
7 e% ~2 G1 C- o1 Y5 ~; F( {* c; Z• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the % k- b% _2 p9 A d
changing needs of the organization and community;

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
$ O' u, K2 k2 u, R• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
6 D0 @# Q1 o' ^/ h, q' ?0 T$ \" [selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; # f" x) I# l$ v. {! o/ w: r
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
0 l* R" H3 k, B" m- m, p+ |performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ' `) P- X# Q5 E$ V

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical

Required Professional Designation / Certification

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; . M4 P9 g# r" B* L$ R% ?
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation ! `% h3 O: O$ N7 u" y o
abilities; 7 L" ?* R+ K* h+ W
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, ; o) c, {# T# N9 O0 O/ i+ D; s" i1 ~
Networking and Fundraising; 0 o0 f4 J9 S6 ^& O# _
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
