Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of ( w" |. R& t7 S% D
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by " T- v$ c! ^: [2 U- q$ H" j% c2 Z

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 9 t: @: d) m' e: d) Q8 ?4 m
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

) z- c0 |5 d3 H6 v, lobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by ! X M$ v7 J# O6 z

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; 6 n1 |9 n% }6 Y6 z# U8 b" Y
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
- `+ L0 x% [5 c: Fthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; # k/ Y; H! {1 \1 R7 a: F
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the * u- N1 p; t2 K* [3 c4 V& Q
changing needs of the organization and community;
0 T' m! B3 l) E• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

# z6 _ J9 ~& ]) z* a• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
! j' J: K6 c9 F6 C0 r. o. \: _• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective

• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 3 B/ k6 o( A. G6 [% M7 |
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; ; e1 E" S; E$ @2 g* x& t
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
, k* a, Y- W) l- qperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED + D" c% O7 ~) c# F8 l* ?$ f
the forthcoming year; 4 ?/ E1 ~) t) s) B
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical ! J0 w9 M) D( f) N5 F3 h; C
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of % e4 A& N! I$ N# K, Y

Required Experience
' _" d" x1 z( L* K# x• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
3 ]5 O6 {$ U {% i+ q( Y9 [• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
# G5 l7 ?2 K/ Qabilities;
; o I5 C; `& H0 x9 i2 C• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, ( ]- ?6 @5 D6 z
Networking and Fundraising; $ ]+ H9 ]1 Z a& \" |1 D
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
