the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by ; S2 j3 ~* n1 \2 o1 U( ?

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 8 S) h: W4 A: |" Y
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
/ u( ` k6 r' o' u8 F+ Q. genable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; + Z8 L; a. i& D
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 9 u; W0 ]3 U/ S5 O
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

0 g, k6 r! O# r8 a• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion

• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 9 Z. r$ @) c1 l( X( L' R1 t) E

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
$ K1 g2 C, G# P: ?7 j. N& E( v) o9 s• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective + E5 Y9 j4 { q+ c
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; / Q' E: D% h' S& D" `
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; ' K. Q' \9 F/ l$ G7 f
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
/ b; g) W6 {8 t/ P" _" q' y$ wthe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
V: N$ d$ f* c* a9 i% L• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
2 a4 d' J3 `2 l n" bperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
$ `" x: Q* V" j: r: z- i3 qpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of # x* m& H6 i S( R
YWCA Canada; and

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. ( E1 F$ b% A6 q: k1 A
6 x9 L1 r; @" }) O: Q8 Z8 m1 cRequired Experience
# K# U$ u/ T1 m6 {4 ` l+ \• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ' l! l x4 J. K5 J
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
, _+ A& e4 I) `4 a+ kabilities; 2 g* U: ^$ F/ O) _ M
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
' d, L6 U2 c4 Y# _ BNetworking and Fundraising;
6 w/ g4 Y7 b0 Q' z# e• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
- V2 L7 e( D) T4 _/ O" Jand financial statements; and
