• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
: P) u) Y' `8 {- T" I/ q, T" C$ w+ ]the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by - b1 D: H) S, H
the Board of Directors;

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
* R0 R k% ?+ W6 Xobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 3 Z2 J/ J7 `" ^6 Y) g$ P, d3 k8 e. O
the board;
( t$ E4 C. @9 Y( C• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; 3 \0 e A! v1 t0 c! r" ]; j- r" P
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
9 y3 ?# Z2 J8 z" pthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
8 [) p1 B3 Y" m7 Y* F) W3 w• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
) {8 p, h" t, L" Y+ q% gchanging needs of the organization and community; 5 [$ ~' m# n+ j( Q7 J
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue # y" h) m: r" V' F0 `
commitments; ! p) m; }- T( D4 m5 w
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; / {+ a, K, Z" W( a" ]+ g6 _% i: y
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
+ J' u; w0 g3 u3 m# qselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
5 }5 \ v7 R% Y9 b2 E s• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
; [8 K$ {1 k ?4 y& Q8 G" Qthe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
( T* |4 |& g I" |( h• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal - l* {( a* v2 K4 ?0 e4 C* Y
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical * e% o/ g% `( k% b3 A4 G9 z& O
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of 2 o5 B# }# s9 B* q3 E9 M
YWCA Canada; and

, K' c6 G* I4 l- v1 m• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;

abilities;

Networking and Fundraising;
