7 q/ D: G' ^3 [. A: W% B+ k• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
6 d [. m* s+ d5 C; ~# Fthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations ' A; M" \. ]# y. M" p7 l- b, H0 f
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
% Q" G9 t) u" o; i; xenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; / X7 ~' _- t- p, }* S1 Y
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
* n3 w( @" L8 eobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by
+ L) O; e" H( ~' N& ^the board;
' x2 F/ D2 x1 N# k2 M, ?- R• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
$ z* ?% j7 g5 c( e/ l3 a: ?• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
5 g# ~; g7 g3 e1 x- Zthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
' U- K7 P7 C- W- o' o, P c• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
( }6 l3 i7 \& {% M+ ?changing needs of the organization and community;
2 w. K1 ^) ?% ~1 \8 U7 m2 a• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue & n! J1 S" h0 [
commitments;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
* S3 J" n& u: }( gselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; - {2 `. C) |! h9 J5 V7 O2 G
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

& W+ A1 I, g9 i0 s• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring + N& @# V# c3 C8 @7 k
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; 2 o9 {4 U1 k% \2 [
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal . I2 |* i. s* u. v" O' j
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

" a* T6 X+ n. T! I• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical " I8 ]; ?5 ]+ |; ~* o3 j
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. % Z! Y4 Z' w2 e# _; D5 w

Required Experience
+ |6 o) C1 n, F8 X& D8 A• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
0 R# \0 M- p. P3 c• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 4 l8 ~$ b, }# c
Networking and Fundraising; - _) ]7 E! g) Z# p( ^" V! h& l2 C5 V9 N" L
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting ; E: Y2 }8 c( W. g1 u. }' F
and financial statements; and
