0 j8 T3 Q! f) Wthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by t: Z9 W/ V p' ?: `

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 2 F+ C$ r. P/ ^. m1 b7 k7 K
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 6 ]: {$ ^1 z8 k" H$ E' M: _
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
+ _- y4 z! }, ~# m+ g+ G• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
) c& m. K5 R7 w2 J/ B/ Z& Robjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

0 P7 i) f- z, ?' o2 t" A: h• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; + N e1 Y& H1 F8 _5 g: g
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
, a7 C/ a+ j% M2 W7 {4 Cthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; ; U: U/ |' }$ P9 [2 `/ [3 n
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
! a w; v2 C" d6 n f, }5 rchanging needs of the organization and community; $ l2 W( F# \: t4 t4 b
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
- X8 h3 q' r9 s) ^9 bcommitments;
" }* ~& ~1 P$ G, ^! D. H( E3 x8 t• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 2 J$ a- W# q+ ~ f( ~
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective . y- y$ A! S# A) v3 `( O2 v: g
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
K8 p a) L5 k5 t) U1 L+ J• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; ! x# @0 {3 A0 \) E' o! y) {4 c
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

4 V& [3 [5 b7 L• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
1 n$ f" @$ S( Sthe implementation of systems to manage these risks; ; H3 N0 g# B7 [; D" Y
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 2 t: H6 p5 S0 r y
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
/ Y& [0 r$ O9 e, ^# k! w0 ]the forthcoming year; ' N+ u6 ?7 _6 \7 h
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical

Required Professional Designation / Certification
. E8 b1 u. A+ d# i) }3 Y2 q+ v• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
3 B9 I! n2 T& j# a6 X9 ]0 v• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
