• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
" M. D4 ~1 m, q. n! U! Ithe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
' W3 D; G) h }& h6 ~# C9 hthe Board of Directors;
% s+ P9 t5 P9 V- b' X• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations - G0 ^/ D8 j/ e2 J
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 8 l) t+ l: Z! D# E6 J/ H. U
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
' \. m5 L1 l. r( A% N+ l• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
6 w& E% |* U; n3 M- g8 ^4 mthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; . s0 F+ S4 f- a$ P
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
8 u/ G- I6 S/ Zchanging needs of the organization and community;
. Q% i' v5 S7 s; l m; w• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
$ u: Y/ |- G+ S: a% u, pcommitments;
8 @# h, H4 P6 t+ Y7 r" i• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 8 t. [- B7 r A' o$ w2 B
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
2 j: H0 ~+ S6 Aselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
( ~( N2 v- B1 r* l1 r5 o• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
$ A; g! Z" f' Y+ l9 @• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring $ b; }# {* D& _
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;

# Q: m& N1 }+ h K2 ]performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 4 h% d" @. M: T. ^

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
1 ~) f: t5 U' Y, _: apractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of . `; [; ~; z4 N# i6 j' g
YWCA Canada; and

Required Professional Designation / Certification $ t/ {8 M1 X5 d( W
• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. - d- I) x- w9 G4 S) F5 b" X$ w

Required Experience " Y5 p, `# u: D
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
8 ?, U& e, S+ j$ G* k• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation + W, K$ ~) V/ O( t) `9 U6 n
abilities; 0 U" e- z: y V" X
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
- p/ c6 v6 B7 O! m# D1 }1 l o' mNetworking and Fundraising;
8 Y' D; a- r$ _2 b$ E" c4 X+ ^• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
