Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

0 y/ i! @; ?0 K( ~! b0 {& X2 k• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of - c' G6 b. w; c+ C
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
' d& c/ O$ g, M( q& Wthe Board of Directors; 5 b( R* W! Q- Y) \$ ?
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations % J: D9 P* o! h2 }
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
" _& n3 ~2 k1 F3 }; S% ienable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
% ]$ A# q5 U. b2 f• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and $ e6 W* ^2 c1 r
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by / r4 R9 s+ \% z% ?; R# L T

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; # _( x* _( B* L$ g) v( Z8 x! R
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 7 v8 P- B1 S# k, c0 d1 D" X
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
% ?; A8 A2 ?) b& Q• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
! m" W$ q! a0 F' @( ]2 F9 ochanging needs of the organization and community;
, o2 V$ p; ~) y, w5 b: M' h• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue . V5 t* Y/ d% U4 K5 b) `
commitments;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 1 U! ?4 c: R$ H) \6 ^) u

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
0 F4 H. O$ r+ Zperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED " R' A& ^) m5 K- e9 w
the forthcoming year; + Q2 J8 S0 \+ ?- g0 h1 z% U
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical & f8 T; r% S7 e z, y S0 p
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ) D; l" |! Z4 m: S/ t

Required Professional Designation / Certification
1 ~1 O3 I2 V3 \: w r% C u• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience
1 \' D8 ~9 q4 b" n4 q4 i; {* F3 |• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; # q. c& @# ?: w4 ^
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation * l: I4 b6 l9 L0 g }
abilities;
- [/ Z( A& ^3 U6 ]" v2 c• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
7 U* y; T3 {# y& s, j8 mNetworking and Fundraising;
