Responsibilities

execution of the YWCA Strategy

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
9 Y0 Q1 U9 c% {2 |the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by / g1 z% y% [2 u( W1 s
the Board of Directors;
, g$ k, t0 K: O$ a• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations / Z. \' x0 R& a, m/ [
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 5 ^! ~9 N4 V0 h0 s
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
8 A# E4 S2 R; t• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
8 O6 J4 b, D8 K( t7 Iobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by ! Q: F3 e3 N) v% w7 j

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; * l, n1 J; l$ h: L
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
8 Z8 }5 v6 M6 p4 }' Q( R( L4 Lthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
4 ]) Y- F: ?" Y- W1 S• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 2 d; b, I. T. M; ]
commitments;

• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective ) Q8 Z0 M8 @+ o
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
7 K9 K( g3 J6 K, R% z+ U• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
8 o: d# p2 ^) o! l0 `• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
) ? E/ l, x" X0 p• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
! X: f9 i; D* M% \' T" \( ?, Wperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
* a3 z! h6 J2 e0 q: ~the forthcoming year;
. L: ~% Z$ N/ R& j: A8 N. H• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
9 D: O5 q; [# epractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of _2 l# g* P1 d- g8 V

Required Professional Designation / Certification
0 }- {5 s/ L( h7 ]• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. : ~- |+ S' _, H2 ^* P+ K. h' } s
' H- x5 R0 i" t& r) o* PRequired Experience
8 f. c/ `- Q& ~2 C; l• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
5 N5 t7 m* Z3 u1 x$ H& Y• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation , o @& X! }; A W6 r, Y3 C2 y4 x" k* L
abilities; ' \+ [( Q/ S# e9 j/ n+ k& B
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 0 G& d% U' P8 Y7 M
Networking and Fundraising;
