• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 5 I3 [: l5 B: J6 q, Q' p7 e
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 5 L; l0 f$ \. d5 q! z+ @" h
the Board of Directors; 2 [( ~( S) Y7 M+ ^" U
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
/ Q6 L- i* {+ Y6 s! b! Pincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to % T2 X1 e0 Q2 C# \4 M
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 7 s" E6 G& }- Z
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
, B2 J! m# l4 U/ Gobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 6 o3 Y" V& S& l/ { v6 e

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ( I6 x& L, l. ~* _
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
% P( d. M# q% sthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 9 _( W+ R! v7 E! x5 q C- r2 B$ a
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 9 t; r+ b6 H& n; _# [6 o
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective , ~0 F" k- U% m3 ^0 J1 \; S3 R
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; N8 f1 y3 T" ]: o
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; % D1 k7 l2 Q! J" b- m# g& _. _7 @
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
: B/ B5 E8 q" [% u9 A' _' Uperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 1 J8 H5 `6 p& h1 {+ P
the forthcoming year;
8 Z& _7 r8 K5 U0 t4 P" S% S9 B• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 8 T+ d1 m) A# v) U, g9 F) P
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of * N) N$ e2 C k- Q

Required Experience
/ z" R6 c6 O: F: U2 G+ z5 }• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; 6 O5 B+ @- P7 I( M" {
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
; V+ r% ?# S/ S0 ^' Iabilities; ( y3 D! D3 Y- [: T9 Z
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
4 u- ?* q* D$ i7 A8 b( uNetworking and Fundraising; # B5 k8 ~) Y8 Z/ a" Z
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting & q8 A5 m: E1 H! T
and financial statements; and
