The successful Executive Director (ED) will combine a woman centered perspective, strategic

execution of the YWCA Strategy 3 F4 U1 Y: i% F" }' U

Specific responsibilities include: : ~. Z4 o* i. q) v* R. E2 Q1 _

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
9 S4 ?( C' I; `; a) Athe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
6 o, p7 a* H) T0 othe Board of Directors;
6 t1 ^) }. e0 b. a; G; c• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 2 c8 P* u( t& @' e* c
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to " r7 n, y- C N6 R) ?' f
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
2 ]6 w: Z! u- f! d( @3 ?( G( r! S• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
4 f/ F0 F o5 p+ x5 ?objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

/ r5 x) H- k0 l3 U9 Q: L1 x5 f• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
: \/ k# [/ a# V( y* A• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
& ]/ l1 P! q& O6 T( V! c( Sthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue ) V7 E9 Y- {8 C% v- N. L+ |

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
5 _$ H3 `6 Y5 k• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
7 E9 I* }' { l' }selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
f* s+ U F" v, d• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
5 j% h/ F6 h, V4 ^• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 1 r2 z4 w; s6 k, |$ a; f4 \
effectively and positively represent the association; ( G' c" i/ K+ D' b7 q% k! c
4 J: v1 k) f+ i: }) g• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
- y0 P+ y. p9 c0 \+ V* othe implementation of systems to manage these risks; 2 t: g: d8 H: H' ~1 H+ R4 L) T2 t
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 8 ]; _2 F1 T# @7 B$ O/ i8 Y- {
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED + m8 j0 V& t8 R4 E$ _$ P
the forthcoming year; ' {- y0 |7 ^" c+ r- I4 o
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 5 d8 k0 g8 V+ T
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of 9 p( m5 q+ q4 s4 o$ O/ Q' o

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
% R/ X* k* ?2 R6 ~• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation * x/ _8 Q- P; G7 V/ ]& f8 a

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
