0 D! _3 V' Z& y% }: R• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
4 V7 V" S% R% m& \ ^8 H2 Zthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 6 S+ b3 f9 z$ E( I+ U3 b9 w5 S+ u
the Board of Directors;

including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to ) f7 ^ d0 m) x7 g
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; % U& Q- ^, W) O9 w
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
$ i( E1 g+ A$ e' _8 {objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by
# O, M, z& G7 F& v# P3 f- ^) H7 qthe board; 5 V/ ^! F, Y* V( _
• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
1 y( C5 H9 n( q! y/ a• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
) [5 F' F7 S% d& C$ ?) Uthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
6 E; D& K: C- c" ~• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
' F& F# E) z. ?2 e; {6 U* Jchanging needs of the organization and community;
4 ]* M5 @" N) `0 C& f6 w8 E+ _5 l• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
`, r+ f6 b/ m+ O. ~' X0 P• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective ( }' }$ j' [9 Q0 T% R; Y
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
1 S* |7 n4 C& Y• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; ( N* I. \8 O, ]/ j8 a
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
( E9 w: k# \, S" u. reffectively and positively represent the association;

: J& w; D0 X! _1 `/ S( L& N• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ) a' ~+ y5 X8 s, t8 ~, z
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
) W* m3 P+ h0 w; _4 F3 [5 K: y) W7 o• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 1 {: a/ \5 `9 H5 r$ Z, U
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

4 N) w t/ g( H$ y9 B3 ]2 s• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
- D# P* S& `2 z, D* e+ bpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Professional Designation / Certification
$ S+ q7 ~$ c/ H/ x9 u• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. : Y) T+ C, M# L; L' G

Required Experience
. `2 I9 R- k/ r5 E+ l5 [9 W; U3 d• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
" q; u; G0 r, o" P& c, u& Y• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation ' {8 A7 ~9 d. E
abilities;
4 }. P* h" \5 z% \" h6 a6 q• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, * R @) o7 e6 H2 g" ^
Networking and Fundraising;
