the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 6 u6 a7 L4 u, c$ ~
the Board of Directors;
# A! G" V8 @+ s: H# U• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations , A2 v2 ?& r$ |; L& X+ N! \4 ]
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to ) {& v& }9 o0 ?6 g# j
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
+ B/ |6 J* E% G• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 6 G; J- \' p. s4 h$ j0 `: a
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by ' L0 ]* E) d: N* d& B4 r0 G5 o
the board;

" Q2 A. e$ [% E2 h( ]! y0 S& A/ W• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion

M6 b5 }/ v+ H2 i/ c, l+ B3 ?• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue % H. z5 r+ X, P& i: Q7 a

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; ! |+ ?% x/ @& \
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective ' p+ a4 ?, i5 P& l
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 1 z2 ^% ]8 v; o; Z, |* i- a
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring . [! R |9 a) }
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
" n( _& ]2 y* c0 P• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal " o" V+ `$ m8 [$ {
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 7 P2 n! L6 j9 S7 R4 j
the forthcoming year;
/ S( _7 t" q7 ?4 D- i% Q& @• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
4 X8 z" N2 o0 N9 fpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Experience
F1 E( j4 v: ?7 e, d* k3 s; A% `/ O• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; . O: e) {* H: j/ `5 D; I& c$ R5 q
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
$ C( [: ~% Q2 n, O6 Y* K9 Eabilities;
# C( g- x& @6 j; x8 N• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
0 F" w. J( i" U6 ]% i- {3 w" ^, wNetworking and Fundraising;
4 ?3 b2 B/ e1 [ F5 O8 G$ _• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting ) w* @( H6 Y* n z
