• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
% h, s4 y$ z1 h% p/ ythe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
* U! F- r( l- V. C I9 O% [the Board of Directors;
/ A5 E" O* \' r" H• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations : G9 t1 a0 p' w- f" s: P) C
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
7 n2 z; d# o& n" q7 r% f1 Q/ [enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by - c8 D4 X% c$ |& H9 d

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
( @; R# B P3 x0 `: V, ?6 S$ V• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion " T0 R, [1 [+ C
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
$ w% _- g# g5 _9 R; ^• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
+ Y; I" C3 l& }' M8 J9 ~" _6 E" schanging needs of the organization and community; & \1 ]5 A; y5 D4 t" M: n* I3 R0 |9 o
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue ! j1 i2 {: C! ` w4 |
commitments;
i3 W" r& T7 b1 m) f; U• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
6 B! A6 ~. \' ~. t" T+ n' f• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective , [6 j! j; [9 f$ F! e5 j% ^+ ?* Q
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
P9 u- T9 ]7 e/ b1 D9 j2 }9 T• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; $ @6 I# s1 d. G
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to ( q) g0 P4 Q( K2 `: _
effectively and positively represent the association; " O0 S, M8 O+ Y6 x5 b$ u

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring # r2 M, w/ D, L' K5 L
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
+ B3 l( \# ~. \. b• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
% @& x" x. U- r/ U/ K: S' X7 D9 G# Gperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 1 P0 r: L) |6 S- F% @; v2 c4 F/ T+ V# U0 ^$ M
the forthcoming year; ) r2 {2 ^* z$ E( G6 n( N
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical , f' A# `3 w4 U% c+ s, e/ s+ h3 I
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification

Required Experience - ~" A1 z, A+ w/ R; y% K; I
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ( ]+ e6 O" y( d3 d2 ]
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
& P7 _: |( Q" U* \abilities;
+ a4 ~7 p M8 s X2 a4 a* ^' I• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
: k+ [6 q# J+ K2 P L* {- L" A8 eNetworking and Fundraising; 9 h# t4 d3 Z# G: K0 w1 C1 h
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting : i5 t0 L* L6 J5 Y

• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
