$ _6 x ^, L: v* ]9 }9 P0 C4 sexecution of the YWCA Strategy 4 E# h6 A& P! `. d7 K2 g h
0 g5 v8 ]/ I# F. h& L( A9 fSpecific responsibilities include: 6 F }1 k# q: S+ S
/ |6 H/ f Z7 D3 p/ e• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of ! e+ j( |, y) p: J
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
' J/ b X4 [0 Mthe Board of Directors;
! O( k# W' p' S' C, ~8 w9 h• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations . }2 n2 I$ t N& Q
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

`: M" u+ S2 {• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
' a/ r) t5 `* B- p+ y1 r) D2 u K, ]objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
, n- N! y K' K6 i: O# H• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
9 J' t: N; X$ w- jthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 5 }, R5 l# J6 Y' X; }% z. `
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 8 ]/ I3 p U, a! M
changing needs of the organization and community; # X& ~( J& Z1 B+ o7 K& f
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 7 W1 K+ o5 E3 U1 b* y
commitments;
1 w. |# D+ O# @• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
! o- O5 D. X7 o+ `, x( F• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective ( U# U+ ?8 i- R7 q) H# N2 N7 {
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; $ M* V* y% Z( N. O$ |5 f5 Q- W. v
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
+ M: m @5 q; i• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to - K1 P& x3 N7 S0 s: M; h: y
effectively and positively represent the association;

+ T$ a# q" H5 @9 z3 S( }$ N• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
; B! D; z" i7 A% P# Athe implementation of systems to manage these risks;
" x4 ~5 z( @9 z8 N6 D1 W4 k• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal ! e- z5 D) V# q
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ) l X1 t8 `# V: Q2 U5 S; Y0 F0 L
the forthcoming year;

Required Professional Designation / Certification
) b' L6 P) t1 H1 ]• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. 6 @; e9 a) r6 M

Required Experience - Y9 i* ~( x+ W8 D" O2 W/ r8 E
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; " q5 M M" N) A8 H2 V) S) B- B6 z
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
