this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA

Responsibilities

' \" {" d9 _! n/ x$ |4 ?5 ^execution of the YWCA Strategy

Specific responsibilities include:

3 b7 A2 V9 ]. t& [8 V9 V5 o9 K• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of " n. b7 r7 K0 y8 z/ K
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 9 j. Z" E: F+ Q
the Board of Directors;
. J2 a2 w) D, g8 L* r7 R* d) F# O8 O• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
' E, Y& H' r. ~6 [# f/ K3 |including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
+ c2 r5 E! U/ {% L* B4 zenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
( K+ I" a" O) F' W2 g• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
1 i, T+ S% G, V6 A: }; W+ nobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
& R" \8 u0 e8 ^0 V( j! _" _# j$ v• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion & w# _9 W: E x8 h# @ n
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
' @2 m: k7 A2 \/ h8 X• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
& ^3 a/ A! V6 I) E0 N& L" X& Jchanging needs of the organization and community;
) v" j5 W1 d' e; f• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

; {7 g, w& C2 |; d a1 p3 |7 K• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
6 |) x, |/ R3 q" D• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
; } e, U" C3 S8 o/ ?1 I& qeffectively and positively represent the association;

& q! n0 ^9 q" [+ I5 N• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
6 h, D3 b# {0 X) r* ~the implementation of systems to manage these risks; ( G0 [' y) _1 l2 L
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 4 |' O# P! [& j* x% S3 [1 q6 Q
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
0 D7 O) {: M$ O$ gthe forthcoming year; * k6 x. i! i4 K) |3 }
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
: b" ~; y7 d# a0 @& \& }practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of - W! j+ o! d2 G8 f7 u
YWCA Canada; and

Required Professional Designation / Certification
5 B3 M s2 k. b& V. ?• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

$ e0 t4 K; S: P" B( URequired Experience
; c7 Z- W- e8 H$ J• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
8 ?8 }$ O" a- r• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation - I+ M1 n( m l) k" Y
abilities;
4 R R! T d+ K/ M C3 a. Q; B• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
: C. c9 G5 g6 z. zNetworking and Fundraising; ! w2 S/ d1 D0 K$ @
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 7 K H5 S( @& u' r# h& D, p
and financial statements; and ! }( n/ h3 X+ ? G9 A
• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
