5 D0 \1 ~+ W" O! N• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
8 Y* q/ N, n2 O" D4 o3 J: z- _; uthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by * `9 w' t4 A4 Y7 ]
the Board of Directors;

including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 6 m5 A0 O Z* J+ g; O; u9 B4 e
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
, P# h \$ X0 h: e s• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
; M) I1 H7 t4 E$ }6 X2 hthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 2 s; |8 z+ O% H/ N
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue : k7 o3 H. M1 c9 |$ ~9 p- _
commitments;
9 l: H( B" q; C; U• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
3 P$ x, b1 w3 U" H t4 k) J• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective 2 l2 j- N* i" G; w7 N& |
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 8 e! e# Q( q0 e4 f+ Q X; m [
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

# E- s8 G- c1 o• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring / Z# W3 `0 L% [1 d- C7 r9 H
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
5 e: N' u$ d- L• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
1 e9 B. U: h: `! f3 Fperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED % S' j2 F: P1 k7 N

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
2 a. \7 P2 S" V" R1 Fpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of 3 \# R, C: D" r3 {/ s' k
YWCA Canada; and

Required Professional Designation / Certification
^5 v- V0 V. v6 w& Z. \! I• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. / D& X: x, m) ?/ F3 Y0 f

Required Experience ! B4 V) x" d* S) U- `. F7 g, o6 s
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
) o" y9 w* d+ l5 _. h• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation 1 c( B- U- J+ j3 T
abilities;
t* X2 Z9 k, E2 e- I4 X8 V• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
& a& z- |! ?3 T$ s1 M v2 x5 \Networking and Fundraising;
