' h$ }( R- m1 `* n' vthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by # K1 `! M Y1 _; f$ H

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations " U% T' t8 W& x% J, g/ Q0 k
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

; s9 F+ M, R# @• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
! t8 y& n0 h1 ^, m7 F# hobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by 3 l) o% M2 s5 f2 m, u9 p, {: Z; t

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; & C, r7 W$ x$ Y0 U/ F
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
( u6 ]; J0 P+ s: q! ]9 vthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
: C. {* I! a# e$ C9 X• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
9 r# V: V2 x; Kchanging needs of the organization and community; 8 I! s& ]$ X$ S# b& { R! V9 S
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue
( Z/ P A$ G. A1 \( S3 Q6 ycommitments;
3 \% U" H; Y0 g( ^• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
/ X' [6 n) I5 p1 Z x• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
* \) g2 S8 V) s2 U; ]! H" P+ Jselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
6 w+ y" I& {9 L9 r' b2 Q- W• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ! ^3 ?" m5 H. N" y8 t! \
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
- C3 ?& D5 Z X9 E" Z6 _4 d0 x• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal * H- |6 O8 i! u: P; M8 ?
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
5 o d! Z9 V7 r! o4 U1 vthe forthcoming year;
* F5 _( d" }0 r' u! y7 j1 r# R• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical ! p1 B& u8 T8 b/ n- [
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Professional Designation / Certification

Required Experience . y$ L3 d0 y& m, s
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; * {9 J' X4 _2 X! X
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation ) h% s) a2 ~+ v- ^7 R0 s
abilities;

Networking and Fundraising;
