@; }8 S: V! CReporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
5 {- l8 G: ?8 {% f4 Vthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by . p: s" V, Q$ x% e4 O- ^2 X
the Board of Directors;
! x# x% `+ p" o+ y8 O7 J• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations & B ~- t4 g, M- X: s V X3 v
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to - z- F& S$ P0 v" |$ V2 h' ]
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
+ s5 x' w1 N i6 j: w* |: ^7 o( O! w• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
+ z) R2 f0 C" ^! N) K2 r* H% ?2 ~objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; f2 N) c* b% {* Z5 i6 ?/ x ?
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
1 F* \. T1 ]9 F2 V4 Dthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; j3 e$ g( r( x! z2 \
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
8 d, J) C! Z5 I0 `3 r+ m( G0 y2 bchanging needs of the organization and community;
- f0 \/ v$ K4 U) b+ i) d• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
/ d' m/ m- ^# M! w" W% L% k, V• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
" d. W5 h/ y( ]/ I& mselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
% k0 g& c& ?/ O2 [1 X4 Z, w) G• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
" a" k" B9 a; b: \* o: A• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring # Y; |, N/ b1 y( i9 v
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
7 B* u4 M+ O' w3 Z5 B# W) [ ?3 _• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 8 g$ y5 t" I! ?3 r
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
3 J0 X! Y9 W C% ^the forthcoming year; - d. A' }7 y! S+ r# m3 q+ U7 q
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
2 b: L7 F7 i; B# [4 B |: gpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; , u5 Z& Y T, J7 W8 z# X$ ?
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
