Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

% {7 |+ Z% K2 f; q* Q" Q• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 7 ^, n8 E; ?) z2 j
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 8 o4 c( i+ a# w/ J3 w; e9 K
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 0 J1 ]& N0 K) I9 L: ?3 z7 y4 e7 I
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
# a$ |8 q# n) n• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and , Z5 s) L9 J% j' s
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
& S: p9 v* [: N7 _6 T• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ( U4 ~' n! F; j+ D2 x$ f: u/ w T
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
# C+ _% Y" X" A3 }) R: a# ]• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 6 V! [( ]& w. g* [ A8 J- G
changing needs of the organization and community;
$ h- l- q; `- z2 j% ~6 y2 F• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue ) S$ A& Y! c R
commitments;
0 y' }7 U$ p; l' `• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
4 ?" L& a1 F$ e. M/ w( i• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
. G$ S7 ?. L' i+ h& j9 [( p, Bselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
, h# n2 t$ ]8 s z) u; F) x• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
! L" O9 c& {: F# M$ B9 _the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
' ~5 `9 z- ^2 R8 B• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
0 ^0 I8 q- K1 H n6 h6 @8 Cperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
" Q; C) e& m3 a2 M' I. z# a9 Dthe forthcoming year;
/ {" J8 k, p% O9 O+ s• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical . e+ d+ | A `: x3 a5 A8 t( V: K& N
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of 7 \: A$ B1 p; m* H s1 ^

Required Professional Designation / Certification

; Y/ H; _7 I& }3 `) Q$ w• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
