Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 2 T' ?+ v) E/ j( C" V% G- ?
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by ' Y# q% a) p E; M
the Board of Directors;
+ d$ O; B+ S+ x9 R• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
& B7 e4 S. I' @" @" r6 u# wincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
2 m( M. g/ M5 U! p: Q( Jobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; . @+ e$ W3 `- u! g7 P
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
) L( @8 [3 D# }3 x+ Ithe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; / M, ], n6 z& R9 c, Q; {( @; f: M
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
4 R' Q/ S9 L( M9 n( Rchanging needs of the organization and community; & P1 c: p8 d% g0 d
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue " f' J$ `6 L% r- o- F

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
0 [. |* l0 b' w: h! ?• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
}' g2 }, d) O' ]: wselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
5 {; i7 Z0 X% Z1 R# {. rthe implementation of systems to manage these risks; 5 Z6 A$ c% J9 B; U6 s4 W' N
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
3 O- m/ u6 ], @" o3 P; nperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED 6 t @" y' {( I- A
the forthcoming year; - H8 ~6 u) n' I# l+ x& N8 J u" R
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
$ b( x j6 n2 C$ C% bpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

$ C, [3 |( u1 b( b5 g% @# i• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Experience 8 K6 ?0 A; q" K3 ?" m* O
• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
- K% g! p0 `7 V, U$ _. F4 c1 N- r• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
; ~6 o9 c/ j1 mabilities; H/ m: d% z* _+ Q
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, $ q, r) ~6 R: k4 E" P8 z$ H
Networking and Fundraising;
& ]# q/ _ o- V* K• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
