Position Summary:
4 m# h0 d8 t f: | L- hThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers. q0 b" [5 r) s2 z& J! \
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
. b: B P! \5 ]% i3 U§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation1 t- m2 a$ {; L0 A. W x: R/ j" E
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times( ?9 q7 R3 M6 [3 ~- Z' S& [
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk) `+ ~, N1 \* d4 ?& k: z: f" N
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

Qualifications:
9 z O# k* t, q9 d) E§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience+ ^$ @, L8 G o! z3 D
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
# K8 y' M3 G( X7 H/ J§ Fundamental commitment to customer service! r! @7 c2 J" k1 S0 Y
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues: i% p- b( h1 q, r" D
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
" `5 q8 o2 i, O5 m9 ]9 K§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software, e6 G& ` G$ m
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

* Z+ W+ h! v7 M0 V1 u0 S3 n! u§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
5 z7 ~2 @: J: i7 z§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to

§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
