The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.2 q; d7 f7 u# k) l( m

Responsibilities:
3 w* t. D w! p§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers! {: E2 v% R% X' J# h; C6 B( A5 f \4 b- G
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
v5 I: |7 r" X/ r$ l+ t: k§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation0 L" d2 i5 @, n' E( j- p
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
& G8 V0 {" Z- {5 z§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
* G" T. s1 x3 s( t0 T§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert! Z7 h( ^- r8 c3 V! ~
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties* Z: s* N0 Q; N# a* b" ]6 F
§ Special projects as required

Qualifications: Z8 }0 t8 {) q6 Q( Q) ^' N
§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience% u: o# D2 P- W2 a2 U
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
# v; T+ N& q1 _ J! s9 G§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
( e, ~9 _5 J8 s x, {$ d, r§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues

, i& E* c( V: t* W§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation+ s/ W! ?, v" f: c N8 g& c
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to1 ?" t2 O1 D3 l
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
! ?) i" I$ T3 L4 g9 a; F7 \4 F§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access8 b5 J7 a7 ~4 z4 k. f$ t
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
