The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting./ J% m- e2 @2 Y; n( Q! v# p/ @

Responsibilities:
. ]: M; ~. T0 l§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers' }% g0 k8 ^3 ^5 H
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution 2 r( W) r) B% P$ a8 x1 k
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
7 ~+ S) O: c/ e§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
6 L, ~ N3 \( S, A§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk) J- L. x4 \! E" s
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert; ^) B; T% Y- M5 {9 R+ u- t
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties6 e+ A' U1 U2 g/ Q! ~
§ Special projects as required! Q9 {2 C9 c$ y! S% q
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls7 F# w. V" ?" o8 n) J/ r

Qualifications:
! P3 g2 a% o' y% P§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
' L. L' a+ f7 m7 [6 ?! R% z. X q7 H/ M§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
$ v6 T% T/ U8 E% T$ h9 |% Z§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
3 T8 x, I% I h2 ^, J§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
4 }; S& c4 f1 l. S: f, w§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
6 O: ?) Q8 J5 F4 r. P |8 X! z§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software

# Q9 H; `$ d0 B- qThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

Responsibilities:
- I- {* {" f9 o§ Manage a stable local IT environment
9 \: ]8 V j0 @: d# A§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
( b) ~" l" x0 t) r§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
& e. L# l/ W$ C/ \; T, U§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
2 A$ N3 H* _! R9 F; C6 g- O§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports- f6 f! q+ Y# o D% S
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation. M0 b/ `* H5 q* i* x0 @& d6 N
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
* L) ]# V- C4 `( m4 J9 ^7 c3 `§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times' M" R* [$ L" v7 d
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access# u- U6 @( s+ m+ N/ G
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
7 K# t& m* N4 `- U§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan7 W" s* J, m$ g ~* _
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk

§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management

§ Coordinate and support end user training
