Any input on Cutler-Hammer Starter?

After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the  start and stop buttons on DCS screen  , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.
, f! w/ E( r" ]0 _* j4 R7 Q/ X* rIt is a cycle.

7 m+ j1 U' P4 E! ZWe isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
The problem should be inside the bucket.

6 [' k* n1 z3 [0 G) Z, XWhen the problem happened, we observed that  the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
' D! U* P* s2 [* w8 PUse a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
7 v  x* J/ M' S9 P1 @' C* rConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we  bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

' E) \  W, ~  PThe next thing we can think of  is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
' }7 K' i1 v/ m4 NThey  have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered  the connection and tried again.
It is getting better  this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.

Don't know cutler –hammer advantage  starters very well, but had been worked on AB switch gears for a little while, which has two different coils, one to pull the vacum bottles up which employs larger current, another one uses less current to hold the connection---if the second coil fails, it won't be able to seal the connection.
# E' [% [' n; q$ J4 W) QSince your cutler -hammer works couple times,  I guess 侠客行 is right, or the sealing connection is just worn out.
