/ |- T: t$ q& k) CTwo cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:" @8 v# `& g) X; O- J- W" u3 d9 W6 ]
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. , g# b( k+ u: `: e
It is a cycle. N% T2 @/ P" ]8 H+ c0 j

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.1 o3 p; M$ V4 k2 G2 e; b6 a
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine. r. k$ m( I1 k% t/ I. F
The problem should be inside the bucket.

! T7 @% k1 I# ?1 I) bWhen the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.& Y, K& `9 K0 ?* u6 P0 u- x
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
8 _4 X, o5 k8 M# c1 c! `9 R. Q( zConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.7 P6 r9 ?+ O7 V% E2 L$ A7 e

The next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
- o4 j0 a _+ W' ~* EThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again. f1 E9 d& F w! F& d6 [
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. 2 Q, D. d5 d6 R0 h* p- ^

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them. ( F8 m2 A; E/ i' s m- w( }
