March 7th: the University of Alberta Museums’ annual Science Sunday for kids!

On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.+ A% i" h; R5 _6 ]9 N3 X0 r
+ V( @1 p& {9 P: s9 J j W
Bring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:$ u C3 a4 {: O1 K" u
! t5 n3 C Q9 h# u# T& l; P9 Y& s
learning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut 2 z' b: _2 j' X S/ L; m/ ~; K
digging for and examining fossils
4 Y4 D3 }" K% k* V5 T6 Rexploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
& u6 U3 k3 E& G3 K+ Einvestigating insects

“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.

Science Sunday is located in the Earth Sciences Building on the U of A Campus, just off of Saskatchewan Drive. Pay parking is available in Lot N on 111th Street.
