But some people prefer Schweser study note (http://www.schweser.com/cfa/) to prepare for the exam. You may be able to buy these notes much cheaper from china.

& \, ^, b: A. }4 {+ K# tDon't feel scared at the beginning. The level I and II exams are all Multiple choice questions (one out of 3 choices), should be easier for us.

The notes change very little from year to year. my friend used 2004 notes and passed the 2009 level I. Amazing? :)

I am not feeling scared for any exam. The only thing is that I really lack related background and knowledge and I have to do it from the very beginning.

Program enrollment  is $400 and exam registration is $620 each for 3 levels

* `2 w, ]; b, t& lThe minimum time to pass the three level exams is of course three years as CFA institute only offer exam almost once a year. But you have to finish the level iii exam within 7 years, otherwise, they delete your record, and you have to restart from level i again. many people simply pass level i or ii, and use that as a stepping stone on their resume. once they get a job offer, they may not pursue the program any more.

# w$ W; m0 q' _- x1 N# lYou guys may not know that there are scholarships offered by CFA Institute or your local CFA society (Edmonton Soceity):

No matter what is your background (quantitative background including engineering/math/CS could be an advantage), get an MBA + CFA + good english, you may be a portfolio manager someday. But this needs really really hard work. Best wishes
