CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.( b6 A9 j- `- t, W

No one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.% r' g6 ~9 i9 ?# x- f9 J
7 S2 [0 D1 V4 c% B5 q. c( qThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.$ X$ u' L5 O8 N# H6 |4 w- y, x

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
