就是不明白为什么房子也收像condo fees类似的费用

看了好几个duplex， 蛮喜欢的，突然冒出来monthly fee 120刀，解释是给你房子的维护，必须交。

我的想法很简单， 我买了地， 我出钱在我的地上盖我的房。这个维护费不能是强制的。。。 说句不合适的话，我在我的地上盖茅草屋都行

好像不行的。现在的新的小区都有统一的规划，等你真的要盖的时候，甚至连屋外的装饰我们自己都做不了主。您想买的房子像是duplex，其实是condo的一种。

Condo can be any type of house, in this case, it is a duplex. Condo agreement is a mutual agreement which governs all the owners who are bound to sign when buying the property;  there is no way you can do anything you want if what you buy is a condo; you are bound by the rules.

这取决于这个房子小区的规划状况。
