- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
0 x2 w% X h% x) N( S- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
6 K. g f2 z0 w. i& e$ S5 A( Z) k- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups( ~5 {1 l8 J0 G( s/ G( G4 T5 @
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs) v& K, Y t' z
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
" T# j6 k* z. S3 N* w9 H9 s- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences$ b1 X6 \6 P, @& P7 z! q7 C
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
; n; Y# g+ h/ ^/ O2 z9 f* P- q$ t D- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others$ S9 W. A0 T9 X$ d
- Experience doing program development5 I$ J1 M, ~" Y% Y' n* `! J6 Y" m
- Strong organizational and coordination skills# y2 @ n6 B# [% X& Z
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
( T" F, e9 o% M" {; K( m- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
! Y" f% v+ U& ~2 _! U! ]# J1 r- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
