Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

. b+ j$ `% F- ?-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
+ w8 R& U' H& `, P: V-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
" [2 A2 \( c7 V0 e-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
7 R' J& n9 h% i+ u: g-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
: L! o9 e$ Q  Y4 {-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
0 a0 x7 X1 z: B7 P-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
8 X' F0 o) z# [; s-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
