Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

Responsibilities:
4 o0 S+ h; R, y2 j! Z( B' ~- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
2 b6 ?) A" Z1 @. M1 u- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
9 s8 @' q, u- n2 { ?" N0 Z% _+ O- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups& z. ]# m k- i2 }9 v/ A
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs1 q& P" I5 C- j6 h! a% v
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health5 m6 O1 U4 `8 c0 ~
% L' @1 Y+ M; h! D& I, g6 p8 y! U! L2 g5 k, f
Key Qualifications:, ]5 q$ m4 C' l- }+ z4 }
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences& J# `/ S; ]$ t6 L3 S d( {
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
" ]+ F/ C- `, q2 p- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others: d; f, i/ g1 R! z- _' i
- Experience doing program development8 o$ z* Z% b# y- r
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
8 l6 S7 `0 D' l: ^- Self-directed and able to take initiative& D4 X& x1 m& W# L1 {0 v8 K
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
- M3 L! G) j+ a. t- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Skills in marketing & promotions
