Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

) f( g2 Q9 w9 W+ Y- a-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
" ~7 l7 m' c1 [! x6 c) D-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
5 r) K4 K: i/ `' M- b; r- X-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

: Y0 I3 _: s; w. z& {% |Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
) t2 Q7 }. B" k3 s-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
7 H  H, G% U: a7 B. _% y" m1 k4 y4 n-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
% M/ Y  s- A2 g9 |9 d-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
/ I5 Q* V; b8 d- ^-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
9 ]& @6 g- V% e# ^- j-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
