请教一个过节上班工作double的问题

朋友在subway上班，老板然他圣诞节上班，他平常的工资是9.5每小时，但老板说圣诞节double后不是9.5直接乘2，而是13.5每小时。

可是我在safeway打工时double就是直接乘2，有懂的朋友指点一下吗？谢谢。

I remember in Chrismas day, all the store will close. why his boss let him to work.
i think he has the right to refuse it.

Thaks for your help. for us, it is the first chrismas in canada, we just came here five months ago. At the same time, it is no means for us, all we can do just stay in home. so if some guy ask us to work in chrismas day, we would like to do it. But how to calculate the salary.

给您GOOGLE了一下， ALBERTA是这样的：
Time + 1/2 plus regular wages or regular pay with an additional holiday day。所以看上去您朋友的RATE问题不大。

SAFEWAY有工会，他们的COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT大概是要求假期工资加倍吧。
