Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

, q7 Y) r( k! a0 M/ P7 i- promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
, o7 `* q" W" P1 Y( P% _7 J1 A- promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
1 A: ~- {% @# {6 z/ L) O- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
9 ^* S+ s4 c, O! M& m3 d! B" i- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members: C) u7 j- {# I6 S3 Y& D2 D! T
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
( d; V' u& B3 P. v- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated: M& E5 O5 X( U
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants0 U0 a2 N) [$ r! ]6 P
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
, {& h$ i) Y' L" i- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.9 X; Q5 e) ^; \/ K+ I ~0 b& h
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities; m% h$ k9 R- A1 l& ]7 D+ j+ k
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
( I/ O6 \1 J: |& p F- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
+ ?5 X4 n$ v4 a, ?5 u2 N- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software* f, z, ?- p! P, ^* N& Q
- fluent in English and Chinese A3 g* ?* ?2 f3 F" ?5 b( @
- good interpersonal and people skills
