be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English( L' l1 V6 _- |( b$ g( E. V0 \+ o
spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5 year phase-in- w7 S1 Z2 K/ s
plan that would become known as "EuroEnglish".
