About going to UA

My son is determined to go to UA. I want to know is there any priority for the local student (Edmonton resident)enrollment to UA? What's the averaged mark in senior high school can be admitted by UA? What percentage does the mark in senior high school account for to be accepted by UA? Since UA ranks NO. 6 across Canadian's university, Is it rather difficult to go to UA?

83+ for Engg and Science (biological science may be even higher)

I have 2 sons. This is the eldest one. However, I'm quite confused with what you meant 83+Egg and 78+others. Could you explain it ? Thank you for your helping!

at least 83 for engineering
and at least 78 for other programs such as art, science,etc..
