A( l4 v. k- z7 |: b2 k9 rNo, it breaks down slowly because of its high C:N. It makes a very attractive mulch as well, so if you have a lot of it I suggest spreading it on top of autumn leaves around trees or shrubs, or at the back of the bed where weeding is a chore.; M b) P8 H7 z% `
% k: m+ p; Z' {+ ]% \# \4 O( v% OSpruce needles are another matter - because they are thicker, and have a pointy end, they can poke you as you spread your compost - wear gloves and you will be fine.
