CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

Key administrative duties:

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.0 a' W8 k" b( h

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

% f& p- ]6 l% |5 t* e0 u• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

9 L6 n( V q1 U& z) |! f8 N• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

" `& s) {% C& [' M7 s8 \- PSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
