N( yCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

Key administrative duties:

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.3 K) U9 l. `$ _4 ~& H, ]: w g
1 Z6 x3 v& F- U4 Y# Y• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.( y' G) o) d2 Y. ]

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.+ Q% j3 x. s) |/ n. e9 k

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

( R1 F$ G. x' P, s• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.9 U3 K% ?! w: C" a+ m4 k+ w% ?

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

% }; Q5 r4 J( o& w' C J! Q( H7 qSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.5 D$ r- [, _* v% \, g

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
