0 c+ g/ y6 n3 W+ |& nEDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.

5 x* _" k; ~2 J/ b! B' P9 {: j' P3 OPolice say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.% q3 ^6 l+ o- m; @9 `, V

Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.

" B2 n1 h5 e1 t0 _" Z) N6 lPolice say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.8 D& ?, D8 j/ ^$ V
7 ^% @2 @3 d; u0 T) Q. L5 wRoughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
