A 20-year-old woman has been charged after a tenant found the dead body of a baby girl under a bed in a north-end Edmonton home last week.; a9 W3 X$ W* c) F% H$ f" z
% k7 N/ ]0 K f, dNaomi Russell-Simpson is charged with committing an indignity to a body, neglect to obtain assistance in child birth and concealing the body of a child.2 u# w j7 V3 q: U; N

The 20-year-old college student was granted bail Tuesday.

# ^; g9 k W8 s( d7 M' dPolice have released few details on the autopsy results, but said Tuesday the girl was born alive. The girl's death is still being labelled as suspicious and not a homicide.6 a9 v8 h+ {8 `& R
w( \# t4 p- }! X* tThe infant was found on March 19 when a man sharing a home at 69 Street and 130 Avenue, who would only identify himself as Wayne, entered the basement suite to do some laundry.
