Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Duties: Special Events
! E: s; S6 o& t& f* L4 tPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: . O% o: C7 h0 O* a) q( f5 N
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
1 @: b& x4 b' z( I& k: T$ u· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 6 r! f% r7 L9 b. B! {0 [3 m4 `
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
8 J- k+ \8 P% s- f& q% Xadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure 0 G1 @& _- s2 \( N) Z8 @. w
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 8 y8 Y) A. _5 E+ ]
· Attend and manage Special Events 7 [6 R: @' s. ^
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
* g$ ?+ G- g4 s) u0 I F- e) TAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
& k! I1 j' H- F4 C7 S; {) k6 O5 V· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 5 W% Q, q2 d0 r9 j# c
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers ( M1 n. D- C, v' \
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers % o+ @* v3 s7 ]. z, f+ l
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers . j, ~# b/ M5 H X2 `
· Complete program administration, statistics and records ' v) L0 }3 }! e( M% l
( T0 i+ `( d [Qualifications:
% u6 ?+ {( e: F d· Completion of 12th
0 [, Q# f" x1 f, x/ }' U! t2 T Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation # x6 A+ M3 K9 e- V( e3 s
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. * D+ A' e7 r3 D D& J/ F
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct . K$ r4 r. R5 J! j5 L
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
; ?1 M Q9 D# A& t0 C8 ?· Experience working with and managing volunteers & `6 N0 r! H3 `7 l& i/ }- ~
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors / b4 ^2 Y& ] j P9 l' ?) p
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
/ t9 F! c" m5 o. T; M8 I/ M- Y8 `& [· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
