Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and in collaboration with CLSA Special

Duties: Special Events
9 Q8 @, Z3 ^1 i& K' ~6 L1 E' A) }) M7 ZPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: 2 \% ` d5 ^, A* R( C4 p
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
, u- ^, k9 I) i5 O6 E- N" `( I· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 8 G* u4 Q0 b5 ^% l
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the 0 K. U- _( L0 F2 X- G6 ]
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
' `! p3 T7 i8 {/ cset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

}, W5 ]. M4 CAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
) ~ a. o) I7 O5 e9 @: Y+ J. z· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
8 Q% I) G4 O9 b· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers , `1 a4 k& e2 e5 O) I
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers - n9 x7 s5 P$ k; k. F v
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers

Qualifications: # T3 A# X. t4 r$ B( |5 i
· Completion of 12th) B. v) G( T! I! @( _0 u
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation ' ?& J% F+ f) Z
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 5 ?8 D9 q9 z% d6 j5 }4 k
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
- F# z8 s5 J( n; \, D: Vexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
; h/ B! e0 F0 m b: ?· Experience working with and managing volunteers 2 y" n& }, m; i' I
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors 9 E" X* p. r5 \2 {* g
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events / A A* ?5 u2 d- I* P) Q
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training 4 v) d3 L$ {+ U" e0 m9 Y9 ~+ o7 M
· Security Clearance
