I bought a car last day. Today, I saw the car need engine cleanliness on its safety inspection report. Who can tell me the meaning of engine cleanliness? is it a big problem? do I have to do that? direct consequence if not to do that? Manifold condition of the car go bad. I need to change a new one? don't know what so called engine cleanliness means, most likely, I guess it's just engine fresh. it's simple and easy, just pour a bottle of fresh fluid, then run the engine for like 20 minutes. after that, change engine oil, that's all./ O+ u# {7 l% S! c6 f

I've got some difficulties to read your questions. To my best knowledge, it seems that the cleanning of your engine is a must if it is an old and dirty car. 5 V; C; t9 i) l1 L9 x+ _4 V3 O% p" o9 i& b7 {8 M
it could be a engine shampoo as well, like the gentleman mentioned before, but what i'm trying to say is if the mechanic refuse to do a inspection on your vehicle only because of a dirty engine, just walk out and find another shop down the street then. they always wanna oversell their service that you don't even need. j# X# Y# _: u7 V, Y* r+ O
