请教:如何选购奶酪和牛油

超市里有许多品牌的奶酪和牛油,请问如何选购?怎样吃比较好?

说说英文名吧,奶酪是不是cheese?如果是的话,有几种吃法一是cheese片,做三明治时,夹在面包里吃,有一种是细条状的,可作比萨,还有一种是粉状的可把它加些开水煮成糊状然后浇在烤好的土豆上,也可把cheese粉散在煮熟的意大利通心粉上吃。还有一种小孩喜欢吃的(不到)20公分长的cheese棒,一包里有很多根,就当零食吃。如果你买回的是立方体或长方体的话,就自己动手切成需要的形状,好象有专门的工具卖,其实中国人聪明,就用菜刀也能解决问题。至于黄色与白色的区别我不太清楚。请其他同学补充。8 V9 M8 f) Z7 V+ z8 @

你说牛油是哪一种呀,在国内用于起火锅底料。这里是不是butter?如果是的话,分两种,一种叫butter(块状),一种叫margarine(塑料碗装的)就是人造黄油。在洋人的食谱里常用到,至于中国用法,据说butter可以用来作馒头,成为奶油馒头,margarine嘛,烤面包时用,可用面包机烤好切片面包后,再直接涂上,也可涂上后,用烤箱烤几钟。后者好象更好吃些,小心发胖!!  E/ B( R0 w- \% U6 h: u, `3 y

+ O4 X" g& B9 j( X- P5 `Cheddar or American cheese (yellow or white): for code sandwich, cubed small chunk of snack, burger or cheesy casserole (baking), the color doesn’t decide the flavor. The cover of the cheese should say: sharp; mild, which refer to the degree of the flavor.
# f' S$ X1 e' _9 m) ~3 e, `+ G7 D, A4 T6 t# u
Mozzarella cheese (white, no yellow color): for pizza or Italian cooking
/ \* q8 G6 W$ q3 ~5 F
! A, r. K6 |; a3 J! h3 o6 d(Those are the cheese I can handle but many others I tried but no way to enjoy,  like the following: )# H. y% Q6 n$ u" T

Swiss cheese (white, with holes): mostly for hot sandwich) t* w) y6 j& j6 x- L

# W1 b2 G8 }0 m6 H  h1 VParmesan cheese (almost like powder): on top of dishes, mostly pasta.

Butter is a lot simpler:
4 P4 M- n" u( @7 a7 o! i( k2 [% m, c/ I
Butter stick (regular or light): 1. for cooking (just like the oil we use) or baking (e.g. bread, cake, or casserole), 2. you can also use it for bread spread4 c$ |9 J2 e: U  P- p
Margarine( soft butter): mainly or spread, on bread, corn… . k  Z. X; _5 A6 }' Q# f

% ~, r/ t8 t3 q$ G* q9 M3 Y3 K2 S& D8 c* _Cream cheese: also for spread, mostly on bagels; sometimes used for some bakery too
