' g) q% @7 _* {7 s  Q( \爱民顿市周一为在阿富汗阵亡的加国军人巴尔杰下士（Cpl. Nick Bulger），举行庄严的公开葬礼。

巴尔杰的私人追思会，在圣约瑟教堂完成之后，巴尔杰的灵柩及扶灵人士和家属，就由3辆坦克车开路，经贾斯帕路（Jasper Ave.）运往墓地。沿途有不少市民驻足默哀，送巴尔杰走完人生最后一程。
   
5 A! `9 A7 c: b+ t% E30岁的巴尔杰隶属爱民顿第三兵营帕特里夏公主轻型步兵连，今年7月3日在阿富汗执行任务时，遭路边炸弹炸死。事件中还有5个同袍受伤。
   
巴尔杰已婚，育有两个年幼女儿，他今次是首度前赴阿富汗南部执行任务，任务为期10个月，原定在今年年底结束，不料半途战死异乡。
   
8 h, [9 e0 \: V9 G* L4 s一个市民威廉斯（Bill Williams）表示，巴尔杰和很多年轻的加拿大军人，不惜为自己和国家一致的信念而作出重大牺牲，这种精神是值得敬仰的。
   
出席追思会的军官格里戈耶夫（Yvette Grygoryev）表示，这些加拿大士兵都是干练和秀优的年轻人，全国人民应该珍惜他们的贡献，而他们英年早逝，也是所有加拿大人的损失。
   
自从2002年以来，加拿大有124个军人和1个外交官，在阿富汗殉职。
