Receptionist

) \/ U! a' f, H( yThe YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors

• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries; J$ [* Q- F v$ V# v( U
• Arrange courier services for all departments2 V6 c; k* b+ V3 @* G8 `9 E$ Q
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

Administration
9 {' n; g2 y' [& Y% b; a• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail4 M+ W" ]9 q8 L# q/ V- w" a0 \
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries: W6 _, F7 W. h- a, |: d
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
/ K9 r. s: B7 e• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
7 @# e- k" }1 `( G) y) b• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers
! ~, x3 Y7 |5 p/ Z, t' x/ F• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
; J" D) K3 h% y n0 H• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments ) u. b2 B2 [+ q s5 K8 \! S
• Assemble and forward information packets as requested

Registrar
& b) g! |7 y$ X+ v• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training
4 m; {( E( t/ ?! Q• Process payments for ticket orders and registrations
1 @, @ a7 ]- P6 q• Assist YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Registration as required

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
3 R9 A0 t# v3 T+ G+ O7 G• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
2 U! i1 g# ]- x4 K8 R2 t8 R g8 Z• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
