Key Responsibilities Include:
0 u5 m- Z- ]+ [0 V4 s6 ]Activity Planning and Daily Activity7 k; c: R, s: q" N3 d) L9 j( |' x
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.5 P0 L- f" d5 o" p/ V: R; }
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
9 b% Q$ N. g8 J& n! M' m• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
3 a; q# N# _2 ]4 y9 W3 u! _) e• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
. D" c* N) p0 d0 Y1 A+ Z- h* [$ u• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
& s9 F0 p9 n8 B, w- Z. @' z• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.; @ ]7 n( G, ?, a* b/ v
' H$ c6 }0 e, t6 D$ R) ^The successful candidate will have:
9 ~/ e: t5 a/ _6 j& [• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting& ~( C6 T( D3 b& G# O
• Experience with children0 P) O' U, ?, n& _, G
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
) J3 I, ]% v) s* P" k6 t+ `' x• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.$ Z+ q# u. C& f. B" m$ E% \2 l; x* c6 K9 k
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.0 z/ e% ] K: {& a K* t& x' u* c, a. F I
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources) F) b# j4 x/ h8 _3 k8 P* F0 n- j
• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
; Y6 z* {$ M3 @& i( X• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check 4 E4 Z/ ]7 ?5 S; e. q2 u
