% x# N1 T6 G" A( ]7 u# ]# mBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

/ F! P3 _4 ~3 L* b5 D+ t9 u4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

, ^" I  F3 O) |( eKey Responsibilities Include:
8 t+ l0 _( v' F; }; H4 NActivity Planning and Daily Activity
# `5 b9 }9 O3 @: f  V' U" @•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
, U# y/ K$ j6 X3 j•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
& I0 g' H! T& V) |  B•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
& q& u6 L6 L; R0 V  _•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
9 O& ^" b) M. ~$ {! _! ^3 B8 k4 ~•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
+ j2 L8 \7 r, ]3 r/ m•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
