4 |2 m$ m1 m4 n! {. xBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff

Key Responsibilities Include:
% U+ l1 ?7 o1 s( UActivity Planning and Daily Activity
. K' z- E/ w, v* S•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
' j6 d6 q0 C, n) ~# J•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
3 t) {4 V2 `5 x' a' O) D•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

# E" }& r6 _& A6 `( g5 RThe successful candidate will have:
) r& b3 Z* j- L: E) k7 j0 L, |( k, r•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
$ h) f4 R. l) p: G- y•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
' t- T% }, p) G$ d$ {2 Y6 k' p•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
3 f% M0 a5 i  N9 ~  \; z•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
