Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
- O3 M1 g: E( N2 E( ^& {# T4 r1 P(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)2 D0 f2 ]% Q5 |5 }
+ g& k: [8 O/ U# rKey Responsibilities Include
, @, ]2 A2 }" @1 K# y0 wActivity Planning and Daily Activity
6 U+ N$ Y" ^0 I# j6 t, j" l; r& r( b• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
% q% T& w- o& z3 j3 ]! N• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. 0 f& C" \. j2 _
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
4 {; r0 A3 v3 X0 h! R• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
4 F, [6 @, ?7 t9 R- D• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time. w% n" P: l4 o" S8 s. ?; U
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
* R4 D) w$ W6 @/ C( a• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting8 A9 m9 Q K- [( \( N
• Experience with children( z, U/ z/ j6 y
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth ; d" |2 P3 ~$ B3 ~
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.( S0 K8 @& r e5 J$ A
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
