Responsibilities:

& i: a( a6 z: pPerforming product upgrade activities in the Production environment
Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
% E( p9 ?& [+ O3 g3 f) WPerforming  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
2 m) u/ V! y5 p- ]) v0 T' _8 ^8 w! CTroubleshooting production issues
1 z& d6 Z  }0 Y4 u# k! a5 MParticipating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
Maintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
/ }% B( s7 w  V* V4 YProviding technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
( u6 a) T( ~% B# @* H3 jProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
! ?3 S7 \3 T! pDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Qualifications:
General:
$ s. t; ~% B8 x) A" ^& CDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
0 w! ~+ ]" V  A3 x1 @2 B8 ?1 m: uExperience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
3 E) \: w4 T& B) j+ ZStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
2 ?) W9 ~1 H; l$ kStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Required:
Experience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
" j' o7 M( Q6 }Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
- ^6 I! R1 Z% H8 x& qStrong SQL skills

Experience supporting applications that use:
