Position Title: SCADA and System Optimization Technologist
Job Description/Duties: ATCO Pipelines is a growing company providing competitive natural gas transportation services to producer and industrial customers throughout Alberta. ATCO Pipelines is part of the ATCO Group of Companies – one of Canada’s premier Alberta-based corporations. The SCADA & System Optimization Technologist is responsible for the maintenance, development, and support of the company’s SCADA system, online model, Control Centre computer applications, and all related sub-systems. Experience maintaining a UNIX operating system, knowledge of network and data communications hardware and software, process control, DCS, and SCADA systems will be an asset. Experience in object oriented programming and an understanding of relational databases in a client-server environment will also be an asset.
Qualifications: A technologist diploma in Computer, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering (or other closely related technologist diploma) and ASET recognition.
