Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

% M$ }6 X3 Z* V" C- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
: G% `- M* K# U, F- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
1 {5 `: F$ }0 d8 p6 E- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
) k, U9 |4 D& T& r/ W: \
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
0 H# j; x( z# \9 g4 T# s- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
3 |+ ]' ^) V5 l- T( L2 q- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
6 M- q: V" _+ b) i2 c- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
