Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
1 O4 h" V, ~! r; g% Z- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
- b  c/ d* x0 H. O
& y) U3 Y) q0 b& o- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
# h0 Z, S0 r% E8 x' ]- L- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
5 z: G- A9 Y, ?, G+ |- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
' f9 f% z. L! x! u: s- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
" ]8 v$ Z+ o. P9 S6 j$ k, j/ Q- good computer skills
6 ~. q$ s1 L1 X& U1 }- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- N, t9 a$ W8 C) x  Y$ V" v- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
