summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ( l# m# h( h0 A. {% o
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern G) e! S4 S1 l1 y3 Q
Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 9 A- O2 V8 z; p: H. U( I+ N$ r4 d
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video % h/ q6 ?: g! r1 ~
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ( w; {/ l. o2 e4 o' ^
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
# s* U) c+ @! M+ ~1 H) J! jFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
* j2 ~" _: O$ q nwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 4 o: Q2 @; M8 M0 Y* ]1 m& B
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books

- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 3 r; J' j& t! O' Y( P

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: , b. R8 v' f% x9 k C
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 1 Y' L" g( D8 j* B* [
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ; [. @# s0 f8 ^
- Strong team player abilities
