; P D( r0 M* r4 SFAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization 4 I+ B/ w+ O( j) O- R3 W
whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media 6 L5 n% X- e3 B
artists from Northern Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Alberta.

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive $ c* ]# X( g& M
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
" J( [ t& _( Z x4 V/ U7 @assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Z6 J; N U+ h$ n t, L- Assist with research on acquisition grants : ^' U4 d6 t" c# `
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
0 \( m# o$ B+ ]- Assist with equipment maintenance 7 Z8 F4 J8 }0 l2 c, q4 I" J6 E1 s# m
- Assist with production logistics for programming events $ r+ u" w$ Q) }. P
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
( H' @1 d: V* M6 G+ ~; Y' ^- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 6 k9 v4 Z5 o$ f+ t. s C
- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks
