FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a / R6 j) t# c; Q4 v
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and / ~! Q3 |2 M, O x# R

Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by

" Q) [% c) x5 ^Duties:
8 n+ _7 x. B9 m. w, v8 ]- Assist with research on acquisition grants
# C2 v. z- s: t# [ G0 \5 e" i- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
( ]* k8 q/ }2 `- Assist with equipment maintenance 3 E% w1 ?# z5 R$ a3 Y
- Assist with production logistics for programming events $ |' ]0 c/ c4 Z; Y6 X( W3 X
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff ' d* Y8 H) Z8 ?. w9 v O. s' k
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment " Z! P+ S- r# `1 N
- Advance organizational and research skills
( u, i8 v: P4 @3 _- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
& X6 D3 o6 c+ e' B) E* r" T- Strong team player abilities ) @9 U u' {; R* Z- Y
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
