CSSA Spring Trip to Jasper on May 21, 22, and 23.

CSSA will organize a Spring Trip to Jasper from May 21 to 23, 2005.
Activities include sight viewing, canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge, and
hot
6 N9 Q+ ^$ k6 I6 T. n" c& c5 lspring at Miette Hot Springs.
We will go to Jasper by mini-van rented by CSSA and driven by CSSA
Volunteers.
/ N" h( X7 O. M- @: NWe'll stay there for two nights. Accommodations are arranged by CSSA.

responsible for your own meals during this trip. Please refer to the

Day One
; _- p/ Y( l% S! X4 M% j-        Ride to Jasper by mini-van.(7 people per minivan)
-        Canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge.($35 per canoe per hour and $25 per

" u/ H* z+ P; Y5 ^; ^1 Ghour)(Each canoe can hold 3 people at most.)
/ F$ b, T( }+ S! m. u-        Hot spring in Jasper for the evening.(Usually hot spring costs about

person. So it's not that expensive. And after knowing how many people

I can work on a group price for us. So sign up for this activity. If
you are
7 W' [" J6 z& ]/ \3 ]2 tnot going, you could also have a little visit in Jasper town while
other
people go to the hot spring.)

-        Sight Viewing in Japer: We'll go Maligne Lake first thing in the
morning .
6 f7 z$ m3 d" `% p- `7 HAnd we'll do the Malign Boat Cruises.(I'll take us 90 minutes round
trip. It's
* Z; w1 R( n8 `2 ~2 `$35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12years old)). If you haven't done

, I' h' V2 f9 g; zbefore, I strongly recommend you to do so.
-        Stays the night in Jasper and no activities in day 2's evening so

could visit the town by yourself, or go to the bar and have a drink or

-        Sight-viewing in Jasper continues.
-        Ride home in the early afternoon since we need to return the rented

time.

Things to Bring:
  {3 K" u4 G1 u-        Travel needs.
-        Swim suit if you want to do Hot Spring.
-       Sun glasses and sun screen to protect your eyes and skin.
-       Camera. It's beautiful in the mountain in the spring.
3 b& g5 Q# I: t-       Bring some warm clothes since it's still cool in the mountain

late May. And we also will go to the Columbia Ice Field so warm clothes
+ q" T5 i$ y4 x" N$ [. V" qand
8 Q# K8 W# G* Pshoes are definitely needed.
& g1 p4 V+ y0 h( o1 H9 t4 }& W- l-       Wear comfort shoes cause we'll do lots of walking and of course
9 q) d* q! j/ W$ ~( c' pdrving.(But you won't need to worry about the driving).

there are food at lunch or dinner hour, so you could have something to

1 B: U9 F" l- A; F1 U7 L/ yFeel free to bring your own food. (Like instant noodles.) (There is an

1 ^) ?7 v( A6 V2 LJasper, so you could always buy food there if you need.)

Cost: $160, this price includes your share of car rentals, gas,
two-night
accommodation in jasper, and national park entrance tickets, and it

; o- G# D8 Q8 f& ~$ l( ]the hot-spring, the canoeing, and the maligne Boat Cruises).
Hot Spring ticket was about $6 in total according to last year's price.
7 m" U4 u. q7 E9 }; Y" {$ mCanoeing is $35 per canoe per hour, $25 per half an hour.
Maligne Boat Cruises are $35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12 years
old).
When we come back from the trip, according to the expenses we'll return

. h7 J: E# u/ W7 F; w4 jextra money to you. According to the Trip we organized to Banff in last
