Has the following summer position available: June 1 – August 16, 2005 (40 hours per week)

Housing Program Worker
3 ~9 ^& n& H! R( y- t! `8 G" D6 ?; V6 V
Key Responsibilities:
2 j& a# `3 [4 x To plan, organize and implement residential and housing support programs for adults and families who access the YMCA’s Transitional Housing Program.
 To assist residents to register for on-site housing and support programs
0 z' F9 ?7 ~& G1 U$ _ To help promote the program in the community.
 To provide some evening and weekend program supports.
 To supervise volunteers assigned to the program.
 To document assigned activities and prepare reports as necessary.
& A; l0 V! I: z To operate within the approved budget and follow all YMCA Policies and Procedures.
$ R* @& d3 v+ {  r7 H, q0 I To contribute as a member of our staff team in the operation of the Transitional Housing Program.

Qualifications:  (Applicants must meet all qualifications to apply)
 2 years education as a post secondary student in Human Services or Social Work
' u2 S7 o' t$ v  E* ?) \$ I Experience in human services, social housing and/or work with high needs populations.
 Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
 Current CPR and First Aid certifications
 Completed, current & cleared Child Welfare Check & Police Security Clearance

Hourly salary range is $8 to $10/hour
